Hello everyone, no tickets required, just jump on the TTC Bus, and let's hope we'll all be getting off at the November Stop.

Add your name to the list as follows:

For anyone not familiar with the acronyms....that's what number child you are tring to conceive, how many cycles you've been trying, what day you are on, and what your usual cycle length is.

Congratulations to MissyMoosMummy and Fruitpastels.

It is great to get good news.

gizzy1973 · 22/02/2009 20:21

AF turned up yesterday but i kinda of knew it wasn't to be this month as timing was never right

Kyte I think i am going to give next month a miss for trying as well as would rather not have a december baby

scarlotti · 22/02/2009 20:23

nunnie - any chance that could have been implantation bleeding and cramping? (Or am I clutching at straws for you!)

kyte - we wondered about that too, but by my dates I'd be early in the month so we figured we'll just keep going. This month will be around ds' birthday if we're succesful so there's always something!
Might be nice to have your folks around to help if you're on for a cs?

HomeintheSun · 22/02/2009 20:33

Kyte I already have a ds who was born in December and I make sure his birthday and Christmas are separate things. I was worried I wouldn't be out of hospital in time for christmas though. I might have to have a break from trying next month because we're due to come back to the uk in December and I know it'll be a massive problem packing the house up and giving birth before we go.

oscarsmumm · 22/02/2009 20:58

Congratulations to MissyMoosMummy and Fruitpastels - I am really pleased for you both !

Fingers crossed for us all who will be testing shortly xx

pavlovthecat · 22/02/2009 22:00

ovulating about now, DH is kicking aliens to oblivion round a mates house and I will be fast asleep when he gets back, then working ALL day tomorrow....grrrr. I might have to force myself to wake up when he gets home. He will know I am ovulating, as I never wake up for sex when I have to get up for work, I am really crabby when I get woken up...

Congratulations to those with positives! Hope those testing soon will get good results!

pavlovthecat · 22/02/2009 22:01

oh and we also said we would have a month 'off' next month too for same reasons!

Hobnobfanatic · 22/02/2009 23:37

Congratulations MissieMoosMummy and Fruitpastels - so thrilled for you!

Sorry to all those with AFs - but there's always next month (or the month after, for those avoiding Xmas babies!).

My AF is due Tuesday, and I'm fully expecting it. Didn't BD with any vigour this month, and missed a couple of prime days too. Oh well...

Last month I was convinced I was pg - lots of symptoms. Not a sausage this month!

amyboo · 23/02/2009 08:06

Nunnie - I'm having similar symptoms... I'm never ever early, but have been cramping and vaguely spotting off and on since Thursday afternoon (CD 23). Am now CD 27 and spotting seems to have stopped this morning, but I still have some cramping. I'm trying not to think this is anything, but I've never had this before. I usually only get pains right before af starts.

Also just found out this morning that some friends of ours are expecting. Am unbelievably

Devongirl · 23/02/2009 09:31

We have a DS with a birthay on December 30th which is a major pain in the bum, especially as our families live 3 hours drive away so it means either staying with us (no vacancies in B&Bs around because of New Year) or not coming to see him on his birthday. He's going to hate us when he's older and none of his mates have any money or energy to go out between Christmas and New Year. But having said that I wouldn't be without him and if we'd waited then maybe he wouldn't have arrived at all. We talked about not trying next month but would just rather have the baby and not worry about the inconvenience. But that's just us! Everyone has to do what's right for them. I also (irrationally) wonder whether one ovary might be better than the other so therefore would result in waiting 2 months effectively. Does that make sense? Sorry for going on a bit! xxx

scarlotti · 23/02/2009 09:31

Morning ladies

Kyte - didn't realise you were all travelling away to see them. Think I'd be thinking the same thing if it was me in that case too.
We've decided to keep trying next month if no joy this month as I'm always due at the beginning of the month. If we don't make it in Dec (or before) then we might well stop the following month as it would be due beginning of Jan - not the best time of year!

Nunnie - how are you this morning? Any further developments?

Amyboo - is it possible you're getting implantation spotting and cramping?

nunnie · 23/02/2009 11:25

Right I have altered list my AF came last night, I was hoping it was implantation bleeding but I never had it with first and am not 100% sure how heavy it can be, so I am going to presume unless you wonderful lot can tell me otherwise that for the first time in many years my 28 day cycle became a 25 day one. Not as heavy as usual and no mood swings as usual but heavier than I imagine implantation bleeding should be.

Sorry that is better.

nunnie · 23/02/2009 12:48

I have managed with my early AF, to just stay on the Nov bus, phew.

scarlotti · 23/02/2009 12:56

nunnie - sorry to hear it was AF after all but glad to hear you're still on the bus with us!

Nip back down here for a few swift cocktails

TishB · 23/02/2009 16:22

hi georgimama thanks for that, am slightly thick when it comes to drugs n medication!!

we are waiting for our letter from the other clinic, am sure it will not be long long (hopefully) but until we see them there we have don't know what course of action they will want to take with us.

I know the ICSI is a better option if DH hasn't a great sperm count/motility...but I'm hoping they won't go straight to that...got a bit worried reading the booklet they gave...it said as ICSI is when a particular sperm is injected into the egg it may be that the sperm injected may not have been successful in fertilising the egg if allowed to naturally as it may not have been the best one (it may not have been a strong/well formed sperm) and they don't know if it's successful what issues it may have in the child born...do you get ehat I mean?? sorry so long winded!!

ANYWAY...hummmppphhh...was still holding out hope for a BFP by some stroke of miracle this month but sad to say AF finally bit me on the bum - a day early too just to piss me off even more!!! SO, I guess I really really don't qualify for this thread anymore

georgimama · 23/02/2009 16:30

I know exactly what you mean about the ICSI, I think they are very very picky about which lucky swimmer they use!

I am pretty certain AF is going to get me in the next day or so, so I will be hanging about in conception threads for some time I would imagine....

TishB · 23/02/2009 16:56

Hey all. as AF arrived a day early I have updated myself on the list below...although I don't know if I should be on the NOv bus anyway...
BTW, if AF arrived at around $pm does that count as CD1 or do I start from next day??
IF next day then I will update my details again...

So, is there a Dec bus, or is this one going on and on until we all graduate?

If so, I've shoved myself on at the bottom of the list once more...
