Hi just wondered if people ttc on Clomid wanted to join this thread unless i have been stupid and missed one.

We are due to fertility clinic on 22nd and expect to go on clomid again.

We have 2 dc. Ds1 is nearly 9 and was concieved without fertility help. THis was a big surprise as have PCOS and was told would never conceive naturally.

Ds2 was conceived after 1 course of clomid 50mg. My day 21 test was awful and still no period after 45ish day. Was put on progesterone to induce bleed. Didnt happen as was pregnant.

Was also on metformin but not currently, waiting for all clear next week. I have dodgy lft generally on medication and also bfing.

Ds2 is 1 now and still breastfeeding. Hoping this will not hinder any treatment as really want to continue this too. I am now 33 so fertility decreasing too.

I dont have a cd currently as all up the shoot so waiting to see what happens really.

Thanks all again for the support. Have been talking to the other half about all the advice, experiences and suggestions on here.
We both feel much more positive about the future and feel like a fog has been lifted.
We have been trying for 2 years now for our first and for me I have always felt a bit out of the loop. Their are so many pregnant people around me (I don't go on facebook anymore!!) I have also felt a bit dramatic. I'm not sure people understand who aren't going through this. They don't see any illness and feel like it is all in the mind and the aged old 'What will be will be' is said far too often. I know they are only being supportive but it is so refreshing and reasuring to know that their is a whole community going through this.

Sorry for the mega long message I was on a roll!!!

stac14 · 07/04/2009 21:19

hiya islegrin
I'm fine thanks, just wish af would hurry up lol, have a bit of PMT but thats to be expected.

The thread has got so busy it's great to have so many people to talk to and share things with. I'm like you westkazza and seem to be avoiding pregnant people I dont mind admiting I am jealous but wish I wasn't.

Glad everyone seems brighter.
We've not heard from alfiemax or brandybaby for a while I hope they are ok. xxx

Lisylou1980 · 07/04/2009 21:34

Baby dust to you all xx

stac14 · 08/04/2009 12:38

Hiya lisylou

Did you use the clomid ovulation calculator? Remember to lie for at least 10 minutes after bding and apparantly no baths during oving, think it dries up cm. You could also try grapefruit juice but I cant remember when you have to drink it lol good luck for an easter egg

Hi all Quick question - I'm still waiting for af how long after provera does it come? xx

Lisylou1980 · 08/04/2009 13:29

Hi Stac,
Yes i used the clomid calendar and says from thursday to Sunday so fingers crossed, i'm praying and hopeing!!! i normally stay lying down and lift my legs up to help it go to where its supposed to!! I will try the grapefruit juice too but whats it supposed to do???
xx

stac14 · 08/04/2009 15:13

Hi lisylou it also helps with cervical mucus, the clomid can make it unfriendly to sperm so it may be worth a try, I found this article online that may help you www.laboroflove.com/articles/grapefruit-juice-and-cervical-mucus/ give it a look it tells you when you should be drinking it and the effects xx

islegrin · 08/04/2009 18:15

Did someone also say that V8 splash helped CM?

Best of luck to you all - I'm a BFN, but still waiting for AF.

stac14 · 08/04/2009 19:12

Are you ok islegrin? How many months have you been using clomid and what dose? BFN are a nightmare hope your ok. I am waiting for af too, I just wish mine would come so I can start clomid again. xxx

islegrin · 08/04/2009 19:28

stac I'm a bit down, but we all know how that goes. I hope your AF comes soon, as you and Clure have been waiting so long!

We've been ttc for 4 years, but just started clomid 2 months ago, 100 with 5 days of injectables also, ovitrel, then crinone and estrogen support. My left tube is completely blocked due to an ectopic, but this time we had a lot of hope because the lead follicle was on the right side (first time that has happened) so of course my hopes were up.

I'll bounce back - I just need a down day or two.

Hugs and babydust to all!

sissy0928 · 08/04/2009 19:38

Hi ladies!! Hope you are all well and ov'ing soon!!

Had my 2nd scan today, much more to see, looks like a little jelly bean in there! 146 beats/minute, DH hoping for a boy, but anything healthy!! Dr wanted to make sure there was "just one" in there, and it is!! Whew!! Don't know what I would've said to two??!

Baby Dust to all you lovely ladies!!!

clairebear88 · 09/04/2009 10:26

hi all

Glad to see loadsa newbies, this thread has lots of lovely ladies, all with various concieving problems so someone can normally answer your questions.
Amelie - my FC said I may have a polyp but said unless they are big they do not cause any problems with concieiving. She said I could have it removed but it was up to me. I have let it be until it causes me a problem.

I will be testing this weekend and am definately feeling more positive than when I was on clomid last year. Im not sure why though.
Will keep ya updated

cx

amelied · 09/04/2009 10:50

Hi Clairebear for that - have not really worried about it (very unlike me ) - at the moment Im in a very "what will be will be" mood (also very unlike me )!

I think after three and a half years of ttc and 3 miscarriages i am finally chilled!

Good luck with the testing this w/e - have everything crossed for you!

amelied · 09/04/2009 10:51

try again .... Hi Clairebear THANKS for that - see too chilled...

sissy0928 · 09/04/2009 15:37

Mummycat, I did attempt to join another pregnancy thread, they are very chatty, but not as welcoming as you ladies, but I think I may have found another! Thank you ladies for being so wonderful to me.

ginstar · 09/04/2009 15:47

Hello Folks,

Please can I join in ? ! I've got sooo many questions I'm hoping you guys can help me with !

I have PCOS and I'm on my first cycle of clomid, and had my first follicle tracking scan today.
The sonographer was very vague about it all and said I had one dominant follicle of 16mm but my lining was 5mm - does this mean that its too thin ?
I find tv scans so painful but today's was unbelievable, I was in agony. Does anyone else find these so painful or am I being a wuss?
Any help would be greatly appreciated ! I'm feeling a bit lost generally and very disheartened
Thanks G x

Clure · 09/04/2009 16:01

sissy great to hear how your getting on and also that you've found a good pregnancy thread, lots of luck to you!

amelied you sound a bitdown, (HUG)

clairebear wow, testing! Good luck to you this weekend

stac any AF yet? How are you. I'm still having the sweats/flushes quite badly but not as frequent. Yesterday was day 5 provera so just waiting now. Over 3 months since last AF, probably not good timing now as today we have no bath, sink and a bombsite for a bathroom!

islegrin hi how are you? You also sounded down - gosh you have been through the mill haven't you?

mummycat have a great hols

ginstar hello and welcome. I can't offer any advice regarding PCOs but there are lots of lovely ladies on here who can.

Hello to all the rest of you, hope you enjoy your easter hols

Lisylou1980 · 09/04/2009 16:17

Hi all
Well i think i may have started ovulating yesterday instead of today/Fri when the chart said i would, i was a bit gutted as partner wasnt due home til friday but then i got a suprise last night and he turned up!!! so plenty for me these next couple of days, trying not to think about the baby part of it and just trying to relax and enjoy. It feels strange that i can feel a change in my body now ovulating and have never felt this b4.
Baby dust to you all and lets hope for some easter eggs xxxxx

sgibbo · 09/04/2009 16:34

Hi ginstar welcome to the thread, 16mm+ is what the sonographer is looking for, and 5mm thickness is good, in the next 48 hours the folicle should grow 2mm and the thickness should increase also.

The scans i have (internal ultrasound) for checking my folicle sizes are painless and only slightly uncomfotable

As for PCOs can't help there sorry,

Islegrin how are you today? hope your OK?

islegrin · 09/04/2009 18:45

Clure - I'm bouncing back. The good news is that if I'm not pg, I get to start another round right away.

Sgibbo - I really hope you get a BFP on Saturday!

I'm new to MN, but I really appreciate all of the women here. I've been able to chat with you all and keep this private in my daily life. It does relieve the pressure that I don't have to answer questions from coworkers/family on a down or irritable day. On the other hand, you all know first hand how it goes - so it's a whole different experience. How can I be disappointed when there is so much hope and determination amongst the women here???

Clure · 09/04/2009 20:13

Thanks for updating list sgibbo

just a little amendment for me CD 94 finished provera and awaiting AF

thanks x

Westkazza · 09/04/2009 20:29

Hey All,
So a BFN and still no AF. To be honest I feel really awful today. My skin is so shocking at the mo I feel like a teenager again!! had to buy the blotting pads to soak up the oil mmmmm nice!!. I also think I'm going slightly bonkers. I lost the plot at work today with a women who abandoned her child. I work at the Airport and I had polietly told her 3 times to stay with her young daughter (3 yearsish) something in me made me go and check that they were still together. I'm glad I did as when I got to her gate, the mother was nowhere to be seen and the girl was crying. I finally found the mother and I have to say I lost it a bit, so much so a colleage had to take over!!!

I shall either be in a nut house or arrested soon!.

oh for the list I'm on CD30

Happy Easter All xxxx

stac14 · 09/04/2009 20:48

Hi Ladies

{{{HUGS}}}Islegrin, westkazza and AmelieD are you feeling any better now?
Westkazza My skin, went very dry to start now its greasy and my hair has never been greasy in my life and now it needs washed every couple of days nightmare, think its the boost in hormones we dont have

Clure Still no af for me, feel a bit tender so thining it will come on tonight or tomorrow, I had to go for an xray today as I have nerve damage from a car crash and the first question I was asked was could you be pregnant? Bit of a downer lol

mummycat Hope you have wonderful hols!!

Lisylou Glad its all worked out well for you, how do you know when your oving? soz I know that may sound like a stupid question lol
Fingers crossed for you sgibbo
Keep us updated on the pregnancy sissy
Welcome to the thread ginstar I have PCO's but I was only recently diagnosed so not sure how much help I will be but feel free to ask me anything. I had an internal scan to be diagnosed with pcos and found it painless, did you ask the sonographer or consultant why its causing you so much pain?

Westkazza · 09/04/2009 21:37

ginstar I have PCOS for 8 years. Never really been a problem apart from a few cyst accidents until we starting trying 2 years ago. I recommend a book called PCOS and your
Fertilty by Collete Harris it has helped me alot. Good luck

stac14 · 10/04/2009 16:39
