tee hee - love your comments roque and rowing. Actually, tonight might be the best as we will both be too exhausted to 'row'.

I will let you know how it went when we get back. I have been awake since 4.45 thinking how it might go!!

I used my freebie CB digital monitor with conception timing info this morning and it said 1-2 weeks since conception so at least I didn't conceive last month as had crossed my mind (lots of pregnancy symptoms last month and light last period). Roque, my only symptoms were dark pee, thirsty (as I have a cold this didn't really seem like symptoms), bit warm and an eye wateringly painful bikini wax. However two hours after testing my boobs went all funny, and last night my gums bleed.

rhet have been thinking about your (Keats') mist and mellow fruitfulness. It's beautiful - and keeps popping into my mind.

roque - hoping this month might be your month too. Any signs that something might have happened? Any curious sphamtoms?

rowing - lots of successful bding this month. Well done - five star effort.

cece - thanks - how far along are you now?

daisy5 · 26/09/2008 09:53

Oh, and bye bye I am off now on holiday.....

fruitbowl · 26/09/2008 10:22

Couldn't get onto MN last night - the site was down - been doing my nut. And what happens while I'm away?

Daisy - Wooooo! So pleased for you. V exciting stuff. Good luck with breaking it to DH. And have a wonderful (if vino free) hol.

Rowing "we were going to do day 15 but fell asleep" (giggling in empathy icon). Story of my life!! Good luck

Roquefort - didn't think about COOKING the blue cheese while pg - genius! Good luck if you are testing again sun

Well my Auntie Flo bloody pitched up uninvited yesterday didn't she? She has no manners. Didn't even ring to say she was on her way. Nothing. Just turns up in that annoying red car of hers. Gggggrrrr. I was all wobbly lip about it yest afternoon as we'd tried so hard (5 times! 5 times we dunnit!!). Back to the drawing board... (slopes off to drawing board shop - do they sell them cheaper on ebay etc)

rhetorician · 26/09/2008 10:58

fruitbowl - sorry, what a bummer. It's totally rubbish that you have to be disappointed and have a horrid period.

So, ladies, we are doing well - 12 on the updated list and two BFPs this month. At that rate we will all have graduated by Feb 2009

The rest of the first verse of Keats' Ode to Autumn seems fitting for us maturer ladies and our plots and plans. Hope that it is sunny where you are.

SEASON of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease;
For Summer has o'erbrimm'd their clammy cells.

fruitbowl · 26/09/2008 12:10

Lovely Rhet Thank you. The sun has just broken through the mist here. Will try and rise above my "clammy"ness today!

rhetorician · 26/09/2008 12:11

yes that bit's rather icky somehow, isn't it?

rowingboat · 26/09/2008 12:56

Bye Daisy, have a great time! [waves]
Fruit - bloomin' aunt Flo doesn't phone in advance and eats all your best chocolate.
I think there's a shop on Ebay that sell drawing boards and scratch, so you can start from it.
Lovely Rhet, just what I needed. I was just thinking how much I would like to go and see a Shakespeare play, whilst we are waxing lyrical. Must look into that.
Day 17 today I think, no sphamtoms. Must say I do notice that I feel different after OV, now that I use a chart. I always feel a bit uptight and restless, kind of on edge.

xserialshopper · 26/09/2008 13:21

Congrats daisy5 I hope your dh takes it well

OP posts:
rowingboat · 26/09/2008 13:25

Xserial - how's tricks? Where are you in your cycle? Are you feeling OK after the OP, no lingering effects?

rhetorician · 26/09/2008 13:26

rowing I know what you mean; until I started doing the charts and lots of waiting I never really noticed the patterns in my cycle - like the fact that I feel vaguely nauseous about 3 days before AF is due. On the other hand, I can't help thinking that this is mostly totally useless information, and lord knows I have enough of that already! I'm on day 4, so on with business in a few days.

Shakespeare - go for it. Just spent half the morning looking out clips of Shakespeare on You Tube for my students.

xserialshopper · 26/09/2008 13:33

Hi rowing and everyone

I've been lurking a lot.

I'm cd15 today. I told my dh that we are going to do a cece this week ....... ok... I didn't say a 'cece' but I did specifically say we have to bd for 5 days in a row. He assured me that he was up for it and even put up with my teasing that he'd probably fall asleep.

So what does he do last night? Yep. Fall asleep after complaining how tired he is

So... will try again for a cece and do 5 nights from tonight (well maybe 4 nights)

OP posts:
cece · 26/09/2008 14:37

xserial - you go girl I have a slight advantage as Dh is a bit younger (and therefore less decriped (sp!)) than me! Must admit it is usually me that falls asleep. Especially at the moment!

Ah blue cheese. One of my firends brought me half a pound of stilton in the hospital when I had just had DD!

Daisy - how did DH take it?

I have been to GP today so I am now officially in the system. Must admit I nearly cried while in there today. Must be the hormones

Juicylucytoo · 26/09/2008 20:42

Sorry, Didn't post again. AF has arrived

Congrats Daisy Hope DH takes / took it well.

Another 2 weeks before it all starts again here.

Cece, bless you. Those hormones are a buggar aren't they

Juicylucytoo · 26/09/2008 20:43

Good luck xss

Juicylucytoo · 26/09/2008 20:46

Fruitbowl, looks like we are cycle buddies. We were at it like bunnies too. Bloody waste of energy

What's your normal cycle?

fruitbowl · 26/09/2008 21:31

Shakespeare sounds a great idea. Even better if one imagines David Tennant in it perchance?

Cece you've spawned a whole new language! xerial laughing at "doing a cece"! I just couldn't muster 4 or even 5 nights on the trot. I'm a bit delicate and need the days off in between to recover. You go for it though!

Rhet do the "clammy cells" refer to honey you think?

Juicy - ooh I've never had a cycle buddy before. As long as it doesn't involve chatting while trying to ride a bike - we'll be great! Sorry Old Flo arrived at your place too. I'm anything from 25 to 34. All over the shop but often around 28/9. What about u?

roquefortlover · 26/09/2008 22:29

hi there all! Just a quickie as have relatives staying.

JLtoo and fruitbowl I'm on Cd1 today, AF in full flow - still, onwards we go...This is my last month ttc in 2008 for various holiday/family related reasons next year so am hoping for a good one so that I can be pg by Xmas

Enjoy the sunshine ladies1

cece · 26/09/2008 22:41

Sorry to all those that have af. good luck for next month

rhetorician · 26/09/2008 23:26

looks like a few of us are on the cycle buddy trail (I ride a bike, so fruitbowl's image resonates with me). I think the 'clammy cells' must be honey, which is not a substance that I associate with clamminess, but then I guess that's what poets are for (?!). Currently CD4 myself. Cece hope that all is going well - thinking of you.

fruitbowl · 26/09/2008 23:47

I waited all day for the doc to ring me back with my day 21 test results. Went for a walk after tea to soak up some of that Keatsean mellowness and forgot to take my blinkin mobile, so missed his call at 7pm. Now I'm spending the weekend worrying that he's going to tell me I'm not ovulating (normally when u ring for test results, the receptionist says "it's normal" if it's normal so I'm predicting doom n gloom.)

I'm thinking of trying the mooncup thats been shoved in the drawer for months. May aswell do something constructive with AF while she's visiting. Anyone else use one?

Have great weekends all

cece · 27/09/2008 10:08

Yes I have a mooncup but it has been lost since last year! Only found it this week so will hopefully have to wait a while to use it again!

fruitbowl - typical - who would have thought they work so late on a Friday

rowingboat · 27/09/2008 12:04

Fruit - I would like to get a mooncup, but am a bit bleeeuch about emptying it. I know it is all in my head, but that's the worst place.

Juicylucytoo · 27/09/2008 12:46

Well looks like we're all going to be "at it" around the same time.

My cycle is around 29-31. Hasn't got back to regular 29 days since I stopped bfing in Jan!

What's a mooncup again?

I've decided to take EPO, guaffanesin and cod liver oil this month as well as the pregnacare and reducing alcohol consumption. Did that last time when I got pg. Had convinced myself that as I have since been pg that I wouldn't need extra things this time, but it would appear my body has other ideas
May all be bunkum, but makes me feel like I'm doing something.

xserialshopper · 27/09/2008 13:09

I know what you mean juciy about feeling like you're doing something I'm still taking clomid and my 'marilyn' supplements - and though not pregnant - I feel great

CD16 for me. Successful bd last night but tis becoming a bit of a chore. May need to crack open the pre-seed to get through the next 3 nights

OP posts:
xserialshopper · 27/09/2008 13:10

Fruitbowl a mooncup is a little device that you slip into your V to catch af on her way out Used instead of tampons/pads.
