cece · 07/09/2008 17:56

Is it today?

Happy Birthday rowingboat!

rhetorician · 07/09/2008 19:09

definitely time for a new roll...

messed up temp this morning because of too much wine (makes it go up and sends everything haywire). Never mind.

rowingboat · 07/09/2008 19:21

What, wine for breakfast! How lovely, think I'll start doing that as well.
Thank you Cece!

jassara · 07/09/2008 19:24

Cece, if you're not preggers, i'll be very shocked fingers and toes X

I live nr Lichfield X-seriel, about 6 miles out of Walsall.

Tabitha88 · 07/09/2008 20:39

A roll call? I'm here. Am I too late? Happy birthday, Rowingboat. Hope you got lots of pressies this morning. I'm eating some ice ceam to help you celebrate.

wine last night...although I did see plenty of old blokes in France having a glass of rose with their croissants [hmmm] and lest you all think that nearly all my posts contain references to wine , it doesn't take much to put my temp up, and for fertility friend to get very confused indeed...

news from yet another recently pg friend this evening (actually more acquaintance) - envious, of course

rowing boat I have updated you

Got impatient and did a test today, only 10 dpo so far too early! Got a BFN of course. Plus have tummy bug - both ends! Yuck and it is DS first day at school. If it doesn't settle I won't be able to take him and DH will get the pleasure

cece · 08/09/2008 09:49

Pleased to announce that DS went into school smiling and got himself first in the line. The bad news is I couldn't go so DH took him. Hoping to feel well enough to collect him at 12...

roquefortlover · 08/09/2008 10:03

Hello everyone - we've been back from hols a while now but been busy entertaining the children! Had an absolutely lovely time in France eating and drinking - ds2 keeps saying to all and sundry "mummy has a glass of rose" which i only had once at lunchtime (not breakfast ) but I'm sure everyone thinks I'm a drunkard now. AF arrived bang on time so now on CD10 and putting DH into action! Maybe I will get to use my free CB Digi this month...

Happy birthday Rowing, I had one in August too so am now 41...suppose I'd better update my stats sometime...

cece sorry you are feeling awful and about the BFN, but it really is very early to tell as I'm sure you know!! Great about ds though.

rhet, you are so right about symptom spotting. It's so hard not too though..

Hi to veryone else - jassara, i remember you from before, welcome back and goood luck with TTC. And xserial, it sounds like you have been having a positive time this month so fingers crossed.

Right, got to go and get on with things now - meant to be doing some decorating this week so must do so and not mumsnet all the time (seeing as how DH already thinks I'm addicted)

rowingboat · 08/09/2008 10:47

Hi Roque, I'm glad to hear you had a lovely holiday, just as it should be. Aren't DC's lovely, imparting all that useful information about mummy and daddy to all and sundry. They get a bit fixated on a word. Funny story though.
Cece thank you for the stats and my lovely new age. I'm an oldie on here now, since I see most others are 41. Hope you are feeling a lot better soon. Are you off food completely?
Thank you everyone for the birthday greetings!
This is day 26 for us. Next cycle (if there is one, obviously )I will be going to bed with the thermometer in my mouth.

jassara · 08/09/2008 11:04

Hi everyone.Cece, hang on till 14dpo, i've never got a BFP until day before AF due, so fingers and toes X!!

Hi Rouque, I was 41 in August too, another 67 baby! I saw you on the MC threads, sorry about your loss too, here's hoping for a sticky bean next time!

Hope you had a great birthday Rowing!

I've got home visit at lunch time from DS2's nursery teacher, so i've been busy doing extra cleaning this morning.

sussexoldspot · 08/09/2008 12:14

Yippee, have found this thread at last - may I join you? I'll be 41 next month and we're ttc #2 after 2 mcs (think this is going to be a bumpy ride!)

roquefortlover · 08/09/2008 12:21

welcome sussexoldspot! Love your name btw. Lots of us are 41 on here atm it seems. Sorry about your mcs - i had a chemical preg in march and an MC in July so am hoping the next one sticks.

Jassara, good luck with home visit - like you I always go mad cleaning for these things even tho i am usually rather a messy - if not slovenly - person !

Rowing, fingers x you won't need that thermometer!

sussexoldspot · 08/09/2008 12:56

Thank you for the very kind welcome roquefort. I'm very sorry for your mcs, too , it looks like we are totally in the same boat.

I had DS at 39. He was almost 11lb, so I do resemble an old spot when lying on my side. Plus, I hit the biscuits big time after mc1.

Will rather presumptuously add myself to list - hope no-one minds!

roquefortlover · 08/09/2008 13:12

wow, 11lb! I know what you mean about mcs and biscuits - I am currently a good stone over normal (which isn't svelte at the best of times) after eating too much to stop morning sickness before my mc and then comfort eating after it. Fair bit of red wine in there too...I wouldn't mind being huge if I was pg but as it is am just feeling blobby. Having salad for lunch as bid to start healthy eating...

sussexoldspot · 08/09/2008 13:24

Same here!! Am still recovering after 2nd mc (more of a chem preg) last week and have been on nothing but large bars of Green & Blacks Butterscotch and Carte d'Or Chocolate Inspiration for 5 days now.

I, too, am having salad and falafels for lunch (probably washed down with a whole packet of digestives, though). I can't touch wine at the mo, so have developed a tequila sunrise habit. And here's me ttc again! No chance!

Thanks again for the wonderful welcome - I feel right at home here.

sussexoldspot · 08/09/2008 13:31

Ooh, I should add, we're not ttc again just yet - going to leave it a month or so, but Jeez, really feeling the pressure age-wise now ...

roquefortlover · 08/09/2008 13:33

mmm, Green and Blacks butterscotch- one of my favourites!

sussexoldspot · 08/09/2008 13:41

My God roquefort - are you in Sussex? Sounds like we were separated at birth!

PS felafels have gone into a sandwich with huge helping of mayo. Ah well, salad tomorrow....

roquefortlover · 08/09/2008 14:01

Amazingly and spookily yes, i am in Sussex although don't usually reveal my whereabouts due to no-one in RL knowing we are ttc and being slightly paranoid!!

Sadly I too have blown the healthy eating by following salad with slice of gingerbread

sussexoldspot · 08/09/2008 14:08

I know what you mean - we're in a small village and news doesn't half fly around. If I didn't have total faith in professional discretion, I would swear half of the goss comes from the village doc's surgery .

Mmmmmm, gingery goodness ...

KiwiKat · 08/09/2008 14:22

Have added myself to the roll call too - I love these!

Mmmmmmm ginger biscuits and posh chocolate...
I don't think I have been this heavy since I was about fourteen. I stuffed my face with all the wrong things after both my MC's, you feel better for it at the time....
I feel so unfit-did 30 sit-ups on Friday, but I'm still aching now!
I can't believe that I'm 2DPO on day 12. DH can relax for a while, he was flagging a little....poor lamb!

Wow, the list is getting long...we need a few BFP's.....no pressure Cece
