Put it this way, he has booked tickets to see Jesus and Mary Chain today
In the end just as we were snuggling down last night DS decided to come and visit us due to a bad dream So it was about 1.30 before we got to sleep. Got another + OV test today so maybe an early night is called for

Have a lovely time in Scotland... or do you live there already!

rowingboat · 29/08/2008 21:15

Oh I love the Jesus and Mary Chain - see that's our age, I bet half the people on MN wouldn't have a clue what we are on about.
I do live here already, we are just driving for about two hours to our cabin thingy. It's a family thing with my parents and my great granny and my brother - lots of babysitters. Looking forward to a nice lie-in while somebody entertains DS. Aaaah!
Have a good night/week!

Have a lovely holiday Rowing.

Cece I forgot to say how impressed I am with your bding efforts.

My Clearblue Pregnancy Test (the test one that Mumsnet asked us to send for) arrived today. I thought they had read my previous posts and weren't going to send me one

I've got until end October to use it.

Hi Xserial, I got one as well. Hope I get to use it soon.
It's been a funny month, I did about three OPKs and they all had a result, the day 12 one was stronger than the others. However, I have had ovulation type discomfort for the past couple of days, today's day 17. This would be quite a big delay between the LH surge and ovulation if this is the case.
I really wish I could temp, at least that way I would have something more to go on.
I feel as if we stopped bding too early now. Oh well, too late now!
Whizzing around this morning trying to get as much done before we leave in a few hours.
Speak to you all soon.

cece · 30/08/2008 13:14

Hi all just dashing off to watch cebebies show at the local theatre - got bargain tickets yesterday. £5 each

rhetorician · 31/08/2008 15:04

Hi all and hello to saree too. just back from gloriously relaxed french holiday (plenty of pate, just enough wine ). Perfectly cheerful despite arrival of AF I always feel a bit better when it actually arrives - at least you know where you stand then. It's the 'am I/aren't I?' bit in the days before that makes me feel like a crazy person. So onwards and upwards to try no. 6. I hope that everyone else is doing OK.

cece · 31/08/2008 17:57

Rhet - your holiday sounds lush

rhetorician · 31/08/2008 18:36

oh it really was wonderful cece (perhaps not the best holiday destination for someone who is doing so well with their diet!! meant to say congrats on that); and a timely reminder that life can be good even when on the ttc rollercoaster. Mind you, back to grey skies, cool temperatures, overgrown garden, mountainous laundry and the beginning of a very busy working term for me...

feeling all hopeful again now, which I do every month, of course, until about CD 25...one day it will be my month - and I hope all of yours too.

daisy5 · 01/09/2008 10:17

Hi all

Am thinking of buying some cheap pregnancy tests on the Internet.

Can anyone tell me what sites are best and which ones to avoid. I have never done this before.

Thanks.

Daisy5

cece · 01/09/2008 11:56

saree1113 · 02/09/2008 19:00

just checking in - you've all gone a bit quiet. Had one of those days of thinking 'oh what is the point' and feeling old and hopeless. As you do. But feeling a bit better after cake I'm pretty good about not testing early, but on the downside it means I've only (so far) used one pregnancy test, which makes me feel a bit but I suppose you only need one positive one!!

xserialshopper · 03/09/2008 12:05

rhet I think they're all tired from bding so much

OP posts:
rhetorician · 03/09/2008 13:14

Hi ladies can i re-join your lovely thread. After another MC in June I'm back to all the joys of TTC

Will have to catch up on how everyones doing but here's hoping for good news on the thread!!

Tabitha88 · 04/09/2008 15:20

Hello all. May I join too? Am I the oldest person here who is trying to create a little bundle of joy? I'm 43 but can't say that I am particularly fabulous. A face lift would help of course.

jassara · 04/09/2008 16:22

Hi Tabitha, how long have you been ttc?

Ooooooh I'd love a face lift..... it's on my list if I win the lottery

Tabitha88 · 04/09/2008 16:44

Hi Jassara. Only for a year, but I've lost my first three in that time. However, I'm no quitter. As regards the facelift, having looked on the NHS Direct website, apparently it doesn't count as a medical emergency so they won't pay for it, but they don't look in my mirror everyday, do they?

rhetorician · 04/09/2008 17:34

welcome tabitha. Sorry to hear about your losses; but good to see that you are keeping going. And none of us are exactly spring chickens

jassara · 04/09/2008 18:12

Sorry to hear about your lossesGood for you girl to not give up! I've had two myself this year.
I read somewhere that when you get to 40 some of your eggs may be past their sell by date, so you have to crack a few to get a good un!! so hopefully our next egg.......
LOL at face lift not being a medical emergency!!
