Hi All,

This is a difficult time for most women (and men) I think.

Certainly for me, I've waited a long time to get to this stage , having not met Mr Right until the age of 31. Now 34 and got married 2 months ago and now want to complete the family!

So, just started "trying" for a baby and due to my impatient nature, have already started using Ovulation Kits. (Probably not a good idea). I also did the Female Fertility Test and that seemed to have a good result aswell.

I was on Dianette for 8 years and came off of it 3 years ago. My cycles became regular again but every 5 weeks instead of 4. I had previously come off of the pill for 6 months and my cycles were regular, so I guess all this is a good sign.

Anyone else had similar experiences and fallen pregnant quickly? I know everyone's different but any good news stories help move us all along!! .

xx

My Cycle is 26 days, so pretty close!! I know I OV next Friday according to my dates. DP completely shat his pants when I told him it was only a week away, I think he had forgotten!!

FlirtyThirty · 25/07/2008 16:03

Hey Bonifacio...We are truly N-Synch! I'm a 25/26 day cycle and on CD5! Af still with me...reckong she'll have moved out by Monday in time for Tuesday's antics!
No way, I'll be at it every day though...totally unrealistic looking at DH and my work schedule etc. Reckon I'm going to try hard for every other day though...and that will be a HUGE increase in our normal sex life!
I have just realised though that I'll be testing on my birthday if AF hasbn't arrived! Could be a great present...but I'm determined not to let it upset me if it doesn't happen this month...it is very early days....

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 16:06

Dawn - where are you?? I'm getting a little worried! Hope you're doing okay and feeling fine!

Bonifacio - oooh we are very similiar! I am thinking I'll OV a week on Tuesday...but I'm going to put in some serious BDing in the run up! DH and I were sick and couldn't BD last cycle around my OV date...hence PG was very unlikely!

But I'm pretty sure DH is secretly quite chuffed at all the BDing he knows I've got planned!!

I've had enough and am SO glad this week is over - it's seemed so long to have been stuck in an office (apart from discovering MN that is!!)

I'm off to catch some rays while I can

Hope you all have great weekends whatever you're up to

Saz x

eth37 · 25/07/2008 17:25

Ooooo, I've missed LOADS!!! Loving the details with all our CDs etc! Is nice that we are all going through this together - definitely makes it more bearable!!

Where are you based, Bonifacio?

I am in London - anyone else?

Also PMSL at the thought of you all BD-ing simultaneously!! think we are past the OV day for this month so no high-pressure BD-ing for us! (although am not ruling out the normal, stress-free variety, if you see what I mean!)

Well, happy weekend everyone!!

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 17:29

Eth - I'm in South East London (or North Kent) Where about's in London are you??

I think you and Summerbird are on the 2WW together!! Fingers crossed for somemore BFPs!!

DawnAS · 25/07/2008 17:33

OMG Ladies - it's just taken me half an hour to catch up!!

Firstly, welcome heverhoney we've got a lovely group of ladies here, nothing is TMI and it's good to have you aboard!! Still PMSL about your song - I can't get it out of my head now!!

Crunchy, how's the migraine hun? I'm quite lucky that I've never had a migraine and don't really suffer with headaches. But I do get IBS which is incredibly uncomfortable at times... And yesterday afternoon and this afternoon, the glands in my neck have swollen and I've the most horrendous pain in my throat. Nothing overnight and in the mornings, just in the afternoon. Although (and I know this sounds silly....), I started taking those Pronatal tablets with the additional Omega 3 and the Omega 3 always gets stuck in my throat and really hurts. Strange that I take them at lunchtime and it's in the afternoon that my throat's started hurting -

Hey BSL, I'm here babe, just had a really really crap day at work today. Didn't even get lunch until 4pm - poor little "Pip" must have been starving!!

Hello to Saz, Flirty, B and Summerbird!!

Hope all your Fridays have gone Ok.

Ooooo whereabouts in south-east London are you, BSL? I'm in Tulse Hill/Herne Hill area.

Welcome back, DawnAS! Hope you've eaten something now. I can't cope without regular food at the best of times... Whenever my DH needs something out of my bag, he's always like 'why are there 4 cereal bars in here??!' Think I must have blood-sugar drops or something....

Anyway, guess I should think about moving myself off the couch and making dinner or something...

Happy weekend!!

PS summerbird - when is your AF due?! Mine's 6 aug I think. Aaaagh, feeling scared now...!

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 17:56

Eth - When I go into the office I drive really near you, all through East Dulwich and on to the South Circular. I'm in Chislehurst. There's a great Italian near you on South Croxted Road!! I used to hang out quite a bit in Herne Hill about 8-9 years ago, as had friends based there.

BSL x

eth37 · 25/07/2008 18:06

Ha, BSL that is so funny - you'll have to wave! The Italian's not the one near Cafe Rouge/the new Tesco is it? I can't remember what it's called. We tend to go out in EAst Dulwich quite a lot. In fact, we might go there tonight if I can't be bothered cooking...

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 18:10

Eth - yes I think it is. Vaguely remember a Cafe Rouge, but there's definitely a Tesco Local a couple of doors away! There's a wonderful little shop there with house stuff, and I think they also sell Noa Noa clothes too. Let me know if you do go there for dinner...I haven't been there in a while, so an update would be nice!! Small world, huh!!

DawnAS · 25/07/2008 18:38

Hey all,

Sorry eth for missing you out of the last thread - it took me ages flipping up and down the screen to get everyone in!!

So, going out now for the evening - first time I've HAD to drive - DH can finally have a drink!

Apple and Mango J20 for me then!!

My sis owns a pub/restaurant and they've got some live music tonight, so off there with DH and Mum and Dad for some nice food, cooked by my BIL Chef and some good music.

Don't know what time I'll be back so I'll sign off now. But I'll be on again tomorrow!!

Hope you all have a lovely Friday ladies. Love to you all!!

and kisses!!

xx

*Dawn you look after yourself, dont get run down and make sure you are taking time to eat properly- have you told work about 'Pip' yet? xx

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 19:41

Heverhoney - how strange!! I was born in Sidcup at Queen Mary's. It was be hilarous if we ended up in anti-antal together!! We're definitely coffee morning distance!!

Crunchy - glad you're feeling a little better. Sorry you're home for the evening, but at least you'll get some R&R sounds like you need it!

Bonifacio · 26/07/2008 05:29

Hi all,
eth were based in the Philippines, but i'm origionally from the North of England!

Crunchy where in West Midlands?? If you want to say! Glad your Migraine has got better, shame about the night out though!! My DP is useless when I get one, he never even gets head aches so can't understand why i'm "fussing"

Flirty I too still have AF, well I don't but I have 5 days on then one day off then 2 days on again (every month ridiculous I know) and I'm on that one day off at the minute!! I too should be fuly off by Monday!! So will be BD'ing from Weds!! We too will have to increase our sex amount!! Though when do you think is best morning afternoon or night

BSL We too didn't manage it last time as DP was away last minute, and he's so busy and stressed at work at the minute, I don't want to put too much pressure on!

Dawn How you feeling today, it does sound strange that you take the tablets asnd then your throat is hurting?? Should I be taking the fish oil? I do eat fish wenever we go out for dinner really as the healthy option!! Though tonight I am going to have a rare steak in case I can't have it again for a while!!

Off to the pool now, DP isn't at work today woohoo!!

xxxxx

Kalikaroo · 26/07/2008 06:43

Morning all!

Well, when DH got home last night I (very casually) said that I'd bought a pg test since AF hadn't arrived and I "just wanted to check"....

He said ok, but had his mind on some paperwork. So, I went to the loo and did the test and it came up as a really strong blue cross (even stronger than on the box!!). I went through and put it on the table in front of him with the instruction booklet. His first words were "f**cking hell!" (sorry for the bad language! )

After about 2 hours of looking like the most shocked person I've ever seen he gave me a massive kiss! He then said that he'd had a feeling that this might happen this month!!! I wish he'd bloomin' well told me!!!!

Anyway, we're both still in complete shock.

For some encouragement ladies, this is how the BPF happened: we decided on 9th July to stop using any protection, I had no idea when I ovulate since AF all over the place. We enthusiastically went for it for a few days until the novelty wore of and bang couple of weeks later a BFP!!!!!!!

Can't believe it happened first go...

(DH is very proud of his "super-troopers" now!!!!)

So don't worry ladies, looks like the best way is just to chuck the fertility calendar out the window and just get down to it !

PS our camping trip had been postponed because DH has pulled a muscle in his shoulder....don't ask!

eth37 · 26/07/2008 10:47

Morning ladies! Thanks, Heverhoney for updating the list!

I am feeling a bit down because {TMI COMING UP!!} I still had EWCM yesterday and was assuming I had ov-ed on Day 13 or 14. We didn't BD since I think Tues, and reckon we have missed our chance this month.... Boo. I am wondering if because I was taking antibiotics during the time when I had my period last month it might mean it delayed ovulation? ANyone know if this is the case?

Oh well, always next month!

What is everyone doing this weekend? Unbelievably, DH is still asleep!! I think he is worn out - normally he is out running by 8am on a Sat!!

Bonifacio - I didn't realise your were northern! I was born and grew up in Huddersfield/Sheffield.

Well, happy weekends, everyone!

heverhoney1 · 26/07/2008 11:05

eth37 Sorry to hear that you are feeling down. My cycles are so irregular I dont know when or if I will OV!

Luckilly, following years of DP being scared S*less!!! of becoming a dad, now we have started trying he is quite taken with the idea. So he is more than happy to BD our way through the month Think his enthusiasm may ware off a bit as time goes on lol

crunchynutter · 26/07/2008 13:59

kalikaroo thats a great reaction from your husband! Its soo exciting for you both xx

i'm near Wolverhampon bonifacio Do you know it?

Ok- just for a (not surprising) update- still no AF or CM to speak of... I am secretly hoping i am pregnant and dont know and a baby will just appear one day obviously thats silly but its nice to pretend! lol

My head is much better today though and we are going to a friends later and i am not going to drink- i am also buying the pregnacare conception tablets today/possibly tomorrow and am still trying to be very healthy in general oh yeah... and fitting in as many BD's as possible!!

Quick question... have any of you gone mad with housework? I have always been a little 'monica-rish' as my hubby calls it but try to be as laid back as possible but the last few days i have been constantly tidying/cleaning/ironing- to the point where i made my husband stand up so i could re-plump my cushions do you think this is just my mothering urge? lol please tell me i'm not a clean freak on my own!!

crunchynutter · 26/07/2008 14:02

oh and B my husband is exactly the same with my migraines- he never even gets a small headache or anything so cant understand when im trying to pull my head off!! He tries though- he does his best sympathetic look lol It would be nice if he really understood though!
