so I found a web site called mycycle.com (not obsessing honest! ) and it turns out I got it wrong and AF is due on Thursday. So an extra day's symptom spotting. You'd think counting to 28 would be simple enough for a woman of 32

hi can i join in too? didn't have to TTC as such for dd1, just came off pill and it happened. this time didn't catch on straight away so maybe needs a bit more effort or something.

anyway, i've 3 days to wait..i think. not totally sure of cycle lengths etc. have plenty symptoms though.

welcome ruddynorah - you are more than welcome here!
Only 3 days to wait - you are in good company with Wellies then! . (Wellies 26, 27, 28...)!!

Willmouse - good to hear that you are Ok - although stressful with ofsted! is this for the childminding or to see your plans for the nursery??

majormoo · 23/06/2008 18:48

welcome ruddynorah

CE so glad you do not have to go back to hospital again. When these things happen, I remember really wanting my body to just get back to normal. So will you wait one cycle then back on the band wagon?

Willmouse goodness that inspection has come ever so quickly but hope it goes well. Hope you DS2 is OK now

MJIM holiday sounds lovely. I like the name Naomi.

Bellie I am 16 weeks and feel really unattractive. All my clothes are too tight but not ready for maternity clothes and I look absoutely knackered all the time.

HC CD1 is good in a way-start of a new month and all that.

Wellies well now you know more about your cycle fingers crossed

Soosy hope you find somewhere

Hi to everyone else

Well am now veering towards no twins! I am only allowed 20 people for Colin the animal man and so far 18 are coming with three left to reply. Usually DDs party is in August when her birthday is. Decided to have it in July as we (and the rest of the world) are on holiday in Aug. Am so used to people not being able to make it, did not expect EVERYONE to say they are coming. I blame my sister who is a reception teacher and assured me lots of parents would take their kids out of school early and thus be away. My house is going to be TRASHED.

Hi all,

Just thought I would pop on briefly. Have been away all weekend, so this is the first time I have been on since Thursday. Got very confused when I went on the old thread, was thinking everyone had been really quiet all weekend, until I discovered the new thread and discovered I had missed loads!! I had a fab weekend, we went to Newcastle and stayed at Malmaison, v posh!! We are trying to do lots of things that we won't have time or won't be able to afford to do after Novemeber, and generally spend a bit of quality time together before life becomes a bit different! Newcastle is a great city, it's got a real buzz to it, I can highly recommend it if anyone is searching for a weekend destination!

Will try to catch up properly with what I've missed tomorrow

Take care everyone

Evening all!

Ruddynorah - welcome I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you and Wellies for later this week when you decide to test! This thread is very lucky

HC - sorry that AF came but am sure your DH won't be complaining too loudly since he is guaranteed some more action this month

MJIM - glad the holiday was good and the weather was good! It is always awful when you have to return to reality and everyone goes back to work but am sure DS will go back to his usual sunny self before long!

Willmouse - poor DS and the accidents - glad he is ok though although I am sure you have had better weekends! Fingers crossed for you and OFSTED - I guess they give short notice to catch you unawares!

CE - for you today but at least now you can move on and it sounds like you are already doing that! Did you book a holiday?

I did find a lovely purple nail varnish yesterday - although it seems very trivial to the rest of your lives

Not much going on here - am hungry all the time, eating for about 5, not really feeling any definite movements.

Evening all

Have my annoying monthly migraine-gggrrrhhh!!!

Hi and welcome ruddynorah-lots of luck to you. Lol-you can't possibly have as many symptoms as I get each month.

Wellies-what are you like? Hope you strike lucky this month.

willmouse-don't know I you cope. Hope it goes OK and poor DS.

Hi to everyone else, my brain is mush so off to take a migraine tablet. DH is out on his motorbike so always wonder if he will make it home in one piece.

Evening all,

HC, glad you?re ok about AF visiting early. Hope you slept well. Get them booked in quick, that?s the spirit Oh no now you have a migraine poor thing! Well, remember the brilliant cure we discussed over at the old place.

Thanks Bellie, not 100% sure what a Nuchal scan is. Will look into it more if/when the time comes. I?m sure you look marvellous ? shoulders back, (.)(.) out, big smile!

Hi WAP, welcome! Sorry I missed you earlier! Hope your cramping has stopped and that you manage to hold off testing. fingers crossed

Hi there Ruddynorah, fingers crossed for you too of course.

Hi Soosy, many thanks for that and fingers crossed you find somewhere soon.

CE, have been thinking about you. So sorry for you today. Again you are being amazingly positive through all this. I?m on CD 9 and all is well thanks. Just feeling a bit, erm, old.

MJIM, great to see you. Loving Isaac (one of my top 3), loving Naomi.

Willmouse! Poor thing. Hope you come back soon, was wondering where you were.

Hi Juanita, lovely to see you. Newcastle is so on our list, even more so now hearing the great feedback from you.

Ceebee ? nail varnish trivial ? Who do you think we are, Jeremy Paxman or sumfink? x

MJIM - meant to say that I think Naomi is a beautiful name

Agree that girls names are so much harder as there is so much more choice. If bump is a boy, he will be Samuel Jake as this is the only boys name that me and DH can agree on! With girls, I change my mind on a weekly basis At the moment, it is Cassie or Amy (I still favour Cassie I think).

CE - do share your other names as I am intrigued and it may give me some ideas

Afternoon all,

MJIM. I'm definately in the Naomi camp. Thank you, d*mn we hope so too.

Hi Ceebee, HC & everyone else. Hope you are all OK.

Right, cycle 11 of TCC #1, CD 10, bring it on! Last month I started OPK CD 11 & didn't get until CD 15 so now I thought I'd start weeing on a stick CD 13. Or is that just false economy? Hmm, what else.. Trying to eat well & chill out more. TMI warning: Started drinking grapefruit sick juice as it's supposed to make for really good 'fertile' CM. Aiming to BD every other day (or more) for next 10 days as of yesterday.

Report
Bellie · 24/06/2008 17:18

Mandy - I drank grapefruit every morning until I got my bfp and now cant stand the stuff. Have you tried the pink - it is slightly sweeter .
Not sure about your opk sticks, as I used the clear blue fertility monitor which told me the days to test - then I wasn't leaving it to guess work!

MJIM - I think I prefer Caitlin, but Naomi is lovely too. It is just that I know a lot of Naomis so think that Caitlin is more unusual iyswim.

Been lounging on the sofa watching the tennis. A bit as DH is actually there!

Hi all, just a quick post as my form who are leaving are having their prom tonight! I am a chaperone - how old do I feel!!!!

MJIM - I'm not telling you the others! (hoping I will eventually get to use them!!) I very slightly perfer Caitlin (51% to 49%!)but agree that there are quite a few about. naomi is a bit more unusual. Which goes better with middle name and surname? Ask ds which one he likes!

Bellie/mandy -urgh! Grapefruit juice! I don't care how good it is for you CM!

Mandy - Every day for 10 days! Jeez woman - you're energetic! How enthusiastic is your DH this month?

willmouse - hope ds2 is feeling better - poor thing. Good Luck for OFSTED - they're pussycats remember!

I am feeling OK today. However, CD9 and still not able to start BDing - is this normal? My normal AF only visits for about 4 days.

The doctor told us to wait til 1 proper AF has arrived then we can start ttc again, but we have both agreed we are going to ignore him! I have done a little research and it seems it would be mainly for dating purposes! If we aren't lucky this cycle I think it could be a long one anyway. Today's pg test was a very very feint line so hopefully hormones are settling back down again.

Wish me luck at the Prom! (100 14 year olds - grrrrrrreat!)

ChocEclair-we were told to wait for 1 AF but we didn't as I needed to be actively TTC and having read on some threads about successful pregnancies conceived straight after a MC I felt it to be OK. Didn't happen for 3 months anyway. If you have stopped bleeding then have fun! Oh, and have fun at the Prom. So wished we had these when I was at school in the 80's

Mandy-2 nights in a row wore me out, was glad of a rest during the 2WW. Have had a serious talk with my AF today and promised her a trip to wherever she wants to go as long as she leaves on Friday and returns 21 months later.

I love grapefuit juice and even grapefuits as long as they don't have sugar on them. Yum!

Hoping tonight's sleep might be better. Love to all.

Hi all,

MJIM - my scan is next Tuesday, 1st July. We are not going to find out the sex, we would like a surprise. All the kids at school are asking me whether I would prefer a boy or a girl, so I've really been thinking about it recently and I genuinely don't mind. When I look at little baby girl clothes, I desperately want a girl, but I have always imagined myself having a boy first then a girl second (I know things don't work out the way you plan them, but it doesn't stop me daydreaming), as I am one of two, with an older brother, and the boy being older seems normal to me. Anyway, I really don't mind. We have always planned on Patrick for a boy, after the mutual friend that DH and I met through, and Cara for a girl - it's a family name, and I really like it anyway! The boy's names is definite, although the girl's name is just our current thinking. We also have Emma, Hannah and Beth on the shortlist.

Having been away this weekend means I am a bit behind on who is where at the momeny, so who is our next tester and when will it be?

Evening

Bellie - am so very very of your DH being at Wimbledon. I would LOVE that as I absolutely love Wimbledon fortnight. In fact I always try and take the second week off work so I can watch it on tv - but to actually be there would be so much better.

CE - I would just go ahead and TTC if you feel ready. I think they give that advice after coming off the pill aswell but whoever follows that??

Mandy - entering 'John Wayne' time again are we?? Good luck

Hi to everyone else.

Taking my car back to the garage tomorrow to be fixed (hopefully - god knows how much it will set me back! Plus, the garage is 20 minutes from my work base so have had to call in a couple of favours to get me there and back!

And that is about the most exciting thing in my life at the moment which shows just how dull my life is

Morning everyone,

Bellie, you should treat yorself to some strawberries on the sofa ? I bet you are more comfy than DH though. Yeah, I?m on the pink stuff, mixed with a bit of normal OJ. Did you notice a difference with your, erm, CM?

CE, how was Prom? I hope it was all lovely and no kerfuffle. Hee hee, Our BD Fest June-08 involves every other day, I?m not Superwoman . DH happy enough, agrees it?s time for a bit of a superhuman effort before we are getting ourselves referred next month (he?s dreading that a bit and to be honest so am I ? makes it all v official & serious, no?).

HC, hope you slept OK. I?m hooked on BB against my will, taped it last nite for a double bill tonight. Oh yes, AF can take a hike as far as I?m concerned too.

Hi Juanitad, Cara is beautiful, I love it!

Ceebee, hope everything works out with your car adventure. Yup, The Cowgirl is getting back in the saddle.

And this is how exciting the life of a cowgirl can be: I?m off to buy a mop. And a bucket.

Sorry about your report MJIM, I would just ignore it as it is only one occasion and it is something the teacher/carer has witnessed in one morning. DS's reports are so general, i wouldn't know if he was in the class or not! I wouldn't worry about him joining in at the moment either, ds was 2.5 before he started to play with other children and it didn't really take off until he was 3. I know it is horrible to read things like this about your DS, v insensitive of the carer/teacher and it makes me when it happens but it is obviously the only event she could pick up on. I wouldn't say anything this time, but if the same person keeps doing it I would ask if she thought there was something she was concerned about.

Hello to everyone else, I can't remember what I have read now. Except, I like Charlotte too HC, and is one of the names on our theoretical girls list. Not a Naomi girl, particularly as one top model seems to be deeply unpleasant! It's amazing how other people can influence the way you think about a name. DS had a most beautiful friend called Audrey and now I think it is a lovely name.

I haven't made an appointment yet at the Lister, it has been very busy. Still no where to live, but seeing three more rentals on Saturday and a potential purchase, we'll see how it goes. DS has also injured himself on his beautiful nose and has four butterfly stitches, so upset that he is going to have a scar, thankful it wasn't worse. He crashed into some furniture.

No more news hoping for BFP's soon and hello to the newbies!

Sx

Hi ladies - how are we all?

Soosy - your poor ds! Hope he is ok (and you are!) and that his little nose heals quickly. Bless. Good Luck with the rental properties on saturday as well. The house next door to us is rented, and some new neighbours have just moved in today so I was snooping out the back window earlier! I think it's a young-ish couple with a little girl! Promising!

MJIM - that can't have been very nice to read about your ds, and I'm sure it probably wasn't as serious as it sounds. Perhaps the person who wrote it was having a bad day, who knows? I would suggest waiting to see if any more negative entries appear, then going in. My sister had a problem quite similar last year with her ds, and was about to go in all guns blazing. I persuaded her not to, and things have been fine since. I figured it was end-of-term-it-us on the part of her TA! Try not to worry though

very good name choices all round ladies! I love them all - I especially love Patrick but our baby's surname is a P so would be a bit ! Cara is gorgeous as well!

Juanitad - well done on not finding out! What a lovely surprise it will be! Will the sonographer tell you to look away do you think?

ceebee - I'm sure your life is not dull at all! (You and HC still have a wedding to organise remember!)

HC/Mandy/W&P/willmouse - Looks like I am joining you back on the bandwagon as of today! Woo hoo! And thank god for that! (CD10 technically although temp all over the place) Have texted DP at work tell him to be ready when he gets in tonight! pmsl! I might be nice and let him have his tea first!

The Prom was ok, they all looked lovely and there was no trouble. 5 limosines! sp? Noone asked me to dance either which was a blessing! I didn't stay til the end but there was a lot of smooching and slow dancing aparently! Awwww . Would anyone like to be 14 again????

Poor DS, Soosy! What's that stuff you can put on scare so they heal with um, less scarring? anyone know (or is that a figment of my imagination )?

MJIM, I'd just ignore the note but keep it in case you spot a pattern. So what if he didn't fancy playing the ice ream game.

Welcome on board CE!

No news here. Am really bad-tempered but for genuine reasons rather than AF (hopefully). Having a stressy time with a change in the law for foreigners to stay in this country (we live abroad) and we've ended up in a bit of a catch 22 situation. Spent all day yesterday traipsing around the ministries and around the capital in the scorching heat with DS trying to get some answers. And so naturally, I feel crappy today.

So AF due tomorrow and I will NOT buy a test until Friday, to be used Saturday morning. How restrained is that!!! I impress myself sometimes.

Hope everyone is well.
