Hi guys
Here is the lovely new thread. Maybe we might get some newbies as well?!?!?

OP posts:

Hey all,

HC Sorry about the witch - if only life was like The Wizard of Oz and you could kill the witch with water!! Hope you have fun at the school fete - even if it does rain!!

No more news yet, although I'd like to know whether anyone else that had cramps as one of their first symptoms, noticed that the intensity of them fluctuated. I've noticed that mine are quite bad from when I get up in the morning but by lunchtime they're pretty much gone. They're not as strong today either. I'm really starting to hope that I haven't dreamt all this!!!

DD - Sorry about another BFN, how bizarre that AF hasn't turned up yet though - very frustrating!!

DaisyJ - Thanks for the note about the boobs!! Mine are starting to feel like they did when I first had my operation. So still numb but just seem to be higher and bigger, not quite so painful today though which is worrying me slightly....

Oh well, at least it's Friday!! I should know a bit more by Sunday because I normally start to get blood/brown stained CM on the Sunday before AF is due, so I'm praying that I don't get it!!

Hope everyone else has a nice Friday!!

xxx

DawnAS · 18/07/2008 09:30

Hey Flirty,

How are you today? You're getting quite close to AF due date, any strange symptoms?

xx

bluestarlavender · 18/07/2008 10:19

Morning everyone,

I hope everyone is well!!

Pretty sure this month isn't going to be mine! Boobs are now not really hurting and seem to be going down. Still got the weird stomach cramps, but anyhow. Dawn - mine start up and are worse in the morning and die off through the day...but I don't think mine are anything PG-related. I just think I didn't notice stuff like this before TTC. Now just wanting the evil witch to arrive, so I can get on to cycle 2.

Daisy - Thanks for the info about cramps...still pretty convinced I've imagined all symptoms. I just don't 'feel' PG

Dawn - I have my fingers crossed for you!! Still sounds really positive

HC - sorry about the witch...we can do the John Wayne month together!!

DD - it's weird no AF and yet still BFN!! Still hope!! but if not, John Wayne is definitely beckoning us all!!

Flirty - Oh, you're almost at cycle end!! What do you reckon?? And gut feelings one way or another?

Anyhow, loads of work to do this morning, so catch you all later,

BSL x

FlirtyThirty · 18/07/2008 10:29

Morning everyone!

Dawn and BSL - iI'm pretty damn sure it's not my month. I reckon that I missed my OV days so it would be imaculate conception if I am PG...and actually I think I'd have a heart attack as it'd be so unexpected. I'm hanign out for next month, when I'd determinged to kick start the 'Summer of Love' Love Fest!

My boobs are pretty tender but I think that's just the imminent arrival of AF to be honest. Hve a made a note about it so that next month I don't try and convince myself that it's a sign of being PG!

bluestarlavender · 18/07/2008 10:38

Hi Flirty,

I'm sorry it's not your month either...it is weird, I do think you have a gut feeling when you are and when you're not PG.

But we can all go to next month together...there'll be a whole gang of us

BSL x

HumphreysCorner · 18/07/2008 11:24

Yes, I'm sure there will be lots of BFP's next month-yay! My cramps and nausea are dreadful but I put this down to being nervous about AF arriving and just being generally peed off with DH things in general. Why I am getting so stressed out about TTCing I don't know as this is only bicycle 3 so that is no time at all in the grand scheme of things. Perhaps I am too old!

Oh, it's raining again so guess there won't be an obstacle course at the fayre.

Girls-would I be really mean to get me and the girls chips from the chippy as a treat and reheat DH's macaroni cheese that I made last night only for him not to come home for it. Had a look and it is in a solid lump but in the day of the credit crunch I hate throwing food away and I am still annoyed with him.

Will check back later-byee for now.

Oh HC - sorry you are still feeling pissed off fed up. I see no probs with the chips idea - it is Friday and the end of term after all. And as for the macaroni cheese - go for it (add a bit of salad to the side to brighten it up, and if he complains, then just advise him that it would have tasted better on the day you made it )

detoxdiva · 18/07/2008 11:42

hmm - why didn't my striking out of 'pissed off' work??

Ah well, you know what I meant!!

bluestarlavender · 18/07/2008 12:08

HC - I definitely agree with DD!! Reheating the mac and cheese is fine!!

BSL x

bluestarlavender · 18/07/2008 12:09

Oh and woohoo, my PG and OV tests arrived today...how quick was that??

BSL x

DawnAS · 18/07/2008 12:15

Hey HC, I'm sure it's not funny about DH's Macaroni Cheese, but I must confess that I'm PMSL -

That'll teach him to be home on time!!

Ahhhh, chips, that sounds lovely...

BSL, thanks for the whispers of encouragement, I'm going to feel like such a doughnut next week now if AF arrives!!

Hi again DD and Flirty!!

xxx

DawnAS · 18/07/2008 12:16

Hey BSL, that was quick, where did your order them from?

xx

daisyj · 18/07/2008 12:30

Mmmm, chiiiips. Am having massive carb cravings. Ate most a a loaf of bread yesterday. Dawn - shall we have fish and chips tonight?

Oh, and I got pissed last night. For the second time in just over a week (am a lightweight, though, so doesn't take much). I'll be so if I am pg. Vow to do better next month.

Now, I came on here just now as I am CD28, 99% sure I'm not PG. So please could everyone tell me not to waste a test tomorrow... I need to be strong...

detoxdiva · 18/07/2008 12:32

daisyj.....I had massive carb cravings when I was pg!!

Could be a sign

detoxdiva · 18/07/2008 12:33

daisyj - how long are your cycles normally?

Mandy73 · 18/07/2008 12:40

Hi all,

Oh no, poor Knax I hope she?ll be OK. Thanks for the update CE.

Oh HC, crossing everything for you. Loving the spunky attitude! Re. the food: Just do it. It?ll be OK once heated up. Sorry you?re feeling the way you are about him. All a bit tense around here too I can report. I?m v hormonal, like PMT x 1000.

Dawn yes my early symptom cramps did fluctuate a lot. Sometimes I?d describe them as a deep burning sensation. Much like you I get the pink-to-brown spotting 5 days before AF is due, for about 3 days. But when I didn?t... OMG the butterflies! Of course in all my previous cycles of TTC I would hope that stuff was implantation bleeding but it never was.

DaisyJ don?t worry about drinking in moderation when TTC. It just adds to the stress and disappointment if you don?t get that BFP, to feel you?ve abstained for nothing.

Waves to everyone else, hope you have a good day.

WelliesAndPyjamas · 18/07/2008 12:42

just been sat here amazed at the coincidence of more than one woman on the same thread having cravings for crAb

brain definitely turning to mush

and would now love some crab too!!

serve the macaroni cheese, HC, he may not even notice. And definitely go for the chippie chips! yum

detoxdiva · 18/07/2008 12:52

Lol at Wellies !!!

HumphreysCorner · 18/07/2008 13:13

Aw-you make me ladies.

I believe it is OK to drink in the 2 week wait as any potential baby is floating in harmony and not actually feeding off you yet.

HC

daisyj · 18/07/2008 13:31

Ooo, HC, I didn't know that. What a mine of information y'all are.

Mmmm, crab. Actually now you mention it I just want to eat everything in sight for the last week or so. But that does often happen to me. I have a very fast metabolism! Although one craving I have had recently is chocolate. Now, it's not that I'm averse normally, but I can take it or leave it usually.

Also, I gues I'm expecting the same signs as last time. Huge (relatively, they're usually barely a B cup!) boobs feeling really sore and heavy, and the implantation cramping. Have any of you ladies with experience had different symptoms with different pregnancies? Had something I thought might be implantation cramping around CD19, but wouldn't that be a bit early? And boobs are only a little tender, which they often are pre AF anyway. Ho hum...

DD, my cycles are usually 28-32, but can go up to 34. Sorry you've had another BFN - how frustrating!

Hi All,

DaisyJ, I'm getting more tempted for those fish and chips every minute!! I've just had cheese on toast for lunch aswell. You know that advert for Cathedral City where someone witnesses someone eating some and then wants it themselves? I find that's so true with cheese on toast so it's become my Friday treat.

WaJ, strange you should mention crab... I'm not going to have some just in case I'm PG, but when we went on our honeymoon to Mexico in May, there was a lovely restaurant in the complex that did Crab Nachos. It was AMAZING!!! It was Crab, in a creamy tartare type sauce and cheese, on top of tortilla chips. It was so gorgeous!! Maybe you could make that for yourself!! DH is making it for himself tonight and I'm just sticking with the normal nachos - yum yum! Although I may well have changed my plans to include Fish and Chips....

Don't know whether I'm having carb cravings though. Just food cravings in my case TBH!! Anything and everything....

Mandy well, until I realised that I was almost 2 weeks early for AF, I thought the implantation bleeding (if that's what it was...) was the start of AF aswell!! Did your cramps ease off after a few days? Mine started Monday morning and were still definitely there yesterday, although they're very mild today... Boobs don't feel quite as sore today either, although I have noticed (sorry if TMI) that my nipples are going hard at the slightest thing!! Really srange... Killer headache today though and still feeling thoroughly shattered. It's starting to get embarassing falling asleep on the couch at lunchtime and being woken by a phone call from my boss. It probably doesn't sound too good that they can tell I've just woken up ...

xx

Heartmum2Jamie · 18/07/2008 13:57

Wow, I really can not keep up with you ladies, you're sooo chatty!

HC, I'm sorry to hear about your temp dive. I will email you tonight once kids are in bed and not swinging off my arms, lol!

MJIM, sorry to hear about your car, there is never a right moment for them to break or be on the verge of breaking. Can't believe you are in your third trimester!

Thanks for updating about Knax, CE. I hope that she is ok

I hope the rest of you in the 2ww are holding up ok and it isn't dragging too badly, those in the crucial time are enjoying themselves, those gearing to O are ready and those with AF are enjoying wine & choccy.

Grrrr, it's just started raining here, was contemplating some washing. Guess I will just have to go back to dh bashing on the other thread, lol!

daisyj · 18/07/2008 14:08

I've just eaten lunch, it was yum, and now I'm EVEN MORE hungry

bluestarlavender · 18/07/2008 15:13

My goodness everyone been super chatty!!

I'll try and catch up:
Dawn - yep got them from ebay...I followed the link that HC posted!! (thanks HC!! - can't believe how quick they came!!!) The pre-seed was the same...ordered on Tues and arrive Wed morning!! Awesome!! Anyhow, don't worry about being a donut next week! I'm sure you'll get the positive result...I really do think women get that sixth sense about these things!!

DaisyJ - no test wasting!! If you aren't PG this month, there's quite a gang of us growing for around the same time next month!! We can all hand hold next cycle together!

Mandy - hope you're still enjoying the highs of being PG, even though your DH might not be . Thanks for the advice about alcohol!! I have friends here all weekend and if I don't drink they'd have thought it weird!! So going to have a few nice glasses of wine!! (sorry - that was a bit thoughtless - but there are some upsides to impending AF...)

WaJ - PMSL...bless you!

MJIM - sorry about the car...hopefully it's not major and repairable!! Cars can be such a pain when they go wrong and I'm sorry but I really do believe that the government/local councils don't make public transport easy or accessible (or cost effective). Guess they'd lose too much money from fuel and road tax, if they did.

HMTJ - shame about the rain, but DH bashing can be lots more fn than washing.

BSL x
