TTC ? Waiting for first cycle after miscarriage

Is anyone else out there in the wait between the end of a miscarriage and their first cycle ? Xx

Hi! Gosh nice to find someone in the same boat. You might be slightly ahead of me though. I had a 9 week scan last Wednesday when they said baby had stopped developing about 2 weeks previously. I’ve been waiting for the miscarriage to start. Such a drag being in limbo. I’ve been spotting dark brown blood for around 24 hours now but not much more than that

I just want to get it over and done with. I did read that you could ovulate 2 weeks after miscarriage. I don’t know if that mean that hormonaly you should consider the first day of miscarriage like the first day of your cycle

I'm so sorry for you loss :( I'm 7 days since passing the miscarriage. I've stopped bleeding completely, only having some discharge. I think I'd want to wait for my first period so it's easier to track dates...but then also don't really want to wait that long as the nurse said it could be up to 3-6 weeks before period arrives! :(

So sorry for your loss. If you don't mind me asking, how long did you wait to do the deed after? Xx

Around 10 days after but I stopped bleeding after 5 days. I think I've been pretty lucky that my body dealt with it quickly.
I think we are just both craving closeness at the moment

Sounds similar to myself...but I'm only 7 days. It feels like too soon to do it especially since the nurses said to wait after first period....although we are craving the closeness like yourself and we also didn't do it during the wait after the confirmation scan so it's been a good few weeks.
To be totally honest I just feel like a mixed bag of emotions about it all :( xx

I found the first two weeks really hard. I would just cry a lot 😭
I'm in my third week now and slightly less emotional but still struggling mentally.

I haven't tracked ovulation yet as waiting for periods and I guess trying to do the more relaxed approach. I think I ovulated last week from the discharge I had but not sure. And I don't know how long to leave it until testing if a period doesn't arrive 🤔

It's co confusing and nerve-racking isn't it. My pregnancy test is coming up with the very faintest line now so I think il start tracking this week xx

How are you all getting on? It’s 7 days since I passed the miscarriage now and stopped bleeding a couple of days ago thankfully. We’re not going to wait until after period to try again, but it’s a bit weird having no clue when I’m going to ovulate. I was pretty regular before now so I’m just going to assume I might ovulate around 14 day after the miscarriage but have no clue in reality.

I think I ovulated 2 weeks after my miscarriage. My miscarriage was 4 weeks ago now.
I'm wondering when I can take a pregnancy test.
I really want to get pregnant again but I know I will be so anxious as soon as I find out

Ohhh I can imagine it’s an exciting/nerve wracking stage for you now. I guess you could test around now if you think you ovulated 2 weeks ago? Fingers crossed

I haven't waited for my period but not expecting to get pregnant really. Having my follow up appointment this week xx

I've felt really tired and sick today. Tested and negative 😞
I was hoping I would get pregnant again before March as we already have a December and January baby so trying to avoid having another birthday in the mix as well as Christmas 😂

Really sorry to hear that @Sparkles512. Hope it’s just too early for you. You might ovulate a bit later I guess given the mc. We’re a bit all over the place right on the back of it I think in many ways.

That looks like good progress @anniehall12. Do you think you’ll go ahead with ttc this cycle?

I have no idea how it ovulation tracking works as it's my first time, but I think it's getting higher?
And yes well we've already done the deed quite a few times but I'm not hoping for anything to be honest, think I'd prefer to have a period first. Hubby has his heart set on another one straight away! Xx

I'm a week past finding out there was no sign of pregnancy at my early scan. I should have been 6 weeks so was a chemical. My HCG at the hospital also came back negative. I started tracked LH yesterday and it looks like levels are increasing. I'm 41 so I don't really have time to waste, so I think we'll just go for it before my first period. x

Has anyone else experienced a really unusually large amount of pink tinged cm around the time of ovulation after miscarriage. Never had anything like it. I was wondering if it’s because your cervix opens a little at this time so any leftover excess fluids from
the miscarriage comes out? Or could it be a bit of infection?

Well ChatGPT is telling me the crazy hormone fluctuations post miscarriage can cause yeast infections and/or an irritated cervix so I guess it’s just that.
