Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

@90yomakeuproom @tiutinkerbell I didn't get my bfp with DS until I was 5 days late, I'd got a bfn testing early even though I knew I had ovulated before day 13 that cycle!

Hi @EmeraldPie - I am. I had my MMC in November and I waited to try again until my first period post MMC (was told by EPAU this was mostly for dates though). I got my first period 5 weeks after my mc (the worst of it, some bleeding continue for a week or so more) and about 2-3 weeks after my negative test. I think if you test 14 to 21 days after when you ovulated you should get an accurate result! Wishing you the very best of luck.

@EmeraldPieSad to see you here, I think we got pregnant at the same time on the October thread! I had a D&C after my miscarriage due to excessive bleeding, and I just started my first period four weeks after that, this Thursday! Hope 2026 will be luckier for us all!

Small age gaps are lovely. My eldest was 13 months when I conceived my second and it’s lovely seeing them playing together. Admitted it was taken about 2 years for the little one to be able to play properly but hoping it will be worth it in the long run.

Im trying for my 3rd now. Can’t decide if I’m mad or not 😂

I think I can see the start of a line there! And normally im dreadful at spotting lines! Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

sorry to hear! I remember you from the October thread. I never got an early scan - and found at what was supposed to be 10 weeks that there was no embryo :( (I had started light bleeding). It was devastating. Are you fully recovered now and when do you plan to try again? Wishing you all the best of luck x

yes 14 days after should be fine! I’m assuming ovulation was around the 22nd if I had my peak smiley late on the 20th. But I’m aware I’m after miscarriage so cycle could be less regular. Did you try again from the first cycle after your MC? Wishing you lots of luck xx

Yes I am - so sorry for your loss. This is my first cycle post MMC, I had my period second week of December so waiting on ovulation now.

I'm in my first proper cycle after my mc - I had my period earlier in December and now just in the trying period. Fingers crossed for all of us!

Ah that's so sad!
I had on and off spotting so i knew something was up - they gave me progesterone but it was already too late and it just made me keep the pregnancy longer! It never progressed past 5/6 weeks, but I had the surgery when I should have been 8.
We'll start trying in this cycle, and hopefully all will be well 🤞

Oh I'd love to have 3 ultimately - but yes, I'm sure that makes us a little bit mad! How did you find being pregnant with a little one? I'm more concerned about that than 2 under 2! I had a pretty rough first trimester and if all goes to plan it'll also coincide with my return to work 🥴😵‍💫

@hopeful4us I’m very lucky , I’ve had super easy 1st trimesters with both of mine, “wouldn’t even know if pregnant if I hadn’t tested” type of thing.

I hate the 3rd trimester, i got very bad pelvic pain/ general joint pain so walking anywhere became difficult and I got tired very easily. Having a newborn and a toddler was definitely easier than late pregnancy and a toddler! Not sure this is very reassuring, sorry 😞

@choclover23 ooooh, that definitely looks like a 9dpo positive! Tentative congratulations! When do you think you’ll test again? FMU tomorrow? Or try and hold out until Tuesday?

I would love to try and wait but my personality type won’t let me but I’m going to try my hardest. It’s my birthday Thursday so tricky to know what to do. Would hate to have the opposite you know x

Unfortunately it looks like there’s a few of us in the same situation. I had a MC in early Nov but wanted to give myself an extra month before jumping back in. AF came back around 10/11 dpo after both my MCs X

@choclover23 Oooh, tricky with your birthday! Maybe keep testing as you will hopefully have a strongish line by then 🤞? I was 10dpo on my birthday last time around so didn’t test until day 11 as didn’t want a birthday BFN. But I hadn’t see a line on a test yet so you are in a different position!

Defo can see a line there! Looking good, keep us posted. I’m the same and I know I won’t be able to not test!
