Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

Is anyone else in their ovulation window right now?

Yes me, although not sure if it was yesterday I ovulated, or today or maybe tomorrow. I’m doing the cb advanced tests and not had a solid smiley yet. DTD last night and plan for tomorrow too hopefully that will be enough.

Tor88 · 27/01/2026 21:01

Hiiii can I join?? 7dpo, 6th cycle of trying for my second. Resisting the urge to test... Promising myself I'm waiting til 9dpo but I'm so gonna crack tomo. Ive had loads of cramps and twinges but that's normal for me, only noticeable symptom is maybe more CM than usual (but could be wishful thinking), and felt fecking ravenous today...

Hey! I’m 37 tomorrow and my partner is 46. I’m TTC no.2 also and I’m guessing I’m 1dpo.
bow old is your little one?
it’s so hard to be chill, this is my second month of trying this time round. I fell first month with my first so I’m defo lacking patience this time round 🫣

@BellaStar2020 really similar for me, got pregnant first month of trying last time and this is my second month now. So lacking patience this time too! And weirdly feeling already like it's not happening this month but just trying to protect myself a bit I think. Maybe it's better to just lean into this being an important thing and that's why it's hard to just be breezy about it?
My son is 4. He was telling me the other day that he wants to buy a baby ...

A few of us starting tww similar time then I guess 🙂

MamaSleep · 28/01/2026 07:20

Has anyone used Hertility for testing? Think I saw something earlier in the thread but can’t now find it!

My little girl is 4 too, she is 5 in July. She keeps drawing pictures of her family at school and there is always a picture of her baby brother or sister in them 😅, no pressure kid!

yes I 100% agree, it’s really hard to be laid back when it’s something you really want!

I’m the same, my temp spiked yesterday morning, but it’s back down this morning (although I had a terrible nights sleep. OPK’s said I surged yesterday afternoon though

EmeraldPie · 28/01/2026 08:12

Advice anyone?
After my MC early Dec I thought once again I wasn’t ovulating this cycle. I never got a ‘peak’ OPK but I wasn’t able to test twice daily. Ovulation should have been due over the weekend or just after.
I had a very slight temp rise Monday AM, then yesterday a dip (to pre ov temps) then today a sharper rise of about 0.35’c. What does this mean? Just trying to pinpoint as to when ovulation occurred if it (hopefully!) did!
Not sure how long after OV temps rise even though I guess it can vary woman to woman.
thanks x

Tor88 · 28/01/2026 12:09

First test is an hour old, second test is 10 mins old..first is an evap isn't it 🥺🥺
These tests claim to be 96% accurate 5 days before your period is due (which is today for me), so I must be out this month...

Tor88 · 28/01/2026 12:11

Oh it's not sharing the pic, not sure what I'm doing wrong...

rainbowsnack · 28/01/2026 12:45

AF arrived. Weirdly with barely any symptoms this month?

MAADH · 28/01/2026 14:21

Hi everyone,
After a vacation and lot of travelling finally found my LH surge on cd 10 in jan and i am in 8DPO and found negative HCG test . Should i need to loose hope?

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 28/01/2026 14:38

@MAADH Definitely not! 8dpo is nothing! Loads of people don’t test postive until 10dpo at the earliest! And there was one poster on this thread tested negative at 12 dpo and still went on to get a BFP.

MAADH · 28/01/2026 14:51

Thanks for this positivity !

I second this. With both of my pregnancies I still tested negative on 8dpo!

Hi :) I did Hertility testing last year and found the results helpful and reassuring. The only bit that was difficult was the blood draw, I ended up having to pay to have their nurse come out and take my blood as I couldn’t get enough from my finger.. but otherwise the whole process is fairly easy and worth doing in my opinion. Good luck if you decide to go ahead!

J1644 · 28/01/2026 16:00

9 DPO today here and really feeling the urge to test even though it’s afternoon and I know I shouldn’t! Feeling a bit desperate that this month is the month, after a few months of feeling relatively chilled about it… cycle 9 so it feels like it’s taking too long and something might be wrong :(

Babyno21990 · 28/01/2026 17:14

So I took another digital just to make sure there is progression and I’m 18dpo roughly and this is what came up 🥰 so so happy to see progression!!

Great progression, congrats 😊do you have symptoms?

Had a big BBT dip this morning, stretchy cm and a LH rise. So I'm really hoping I'll ovulate today or next couple of days, and get those 3 days of BBT rise. 🤞 This is cycle 6 and it feels like a lifetime of trying already! We've done really well with the BDing this cycle. If I'm correct with this being O time then we got the timing perfect : )

Babyno21990 · 28/01/2026 17:57

@Anya23 slight nausea but nothing too bad!! Headaches etc. but that’s really it lol

Jill4578 · 28/01/2026 18:21

so happy with the progression going to do another on Sunday and hopefully should be at 3+ then I’m going to try and just enjoy the ride! Is there a due in October 2026 thread?

good luck to everyone still ttc, sending infinite amounts of baby dust your way✨✨

Hey everyone! Anyone else here been trying for over a year? Starting to feel pass the point of being down and depressed about it all now. Normally I would be itching to test, but I just don’t want to keep seeing the negative! I hope everyone gets there positives this month xxx

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 28/01/2026 18:26

@Babyno21990 Thats fantastic! I’ve always breathed a huge sigh of relief, seeing a 3+ weeks. Best confirmation you can really have at this stage that all is going well 🥰

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 28/01/2026 18:29

And @Jill4578 !! Congratulations 🥳! Sorry for the double post, think I was typing when you posted. It’s so great seeing the words on the digital ❤️ .

Babyno21990 · 28/01/2026 18:30

@Jill4578 aw yay!!! Delighted for you 🥰
@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy oh absolutely!! Just a scary time lol

@Shellbells4427 aw I’m sorry to hear that. Most of my sisters tried for over a year and they finally got their babies, but one of my sisters had lots of issues with her thyroid and they told her it was at normal levels whereas a private doctor told her it wasn’t optimal to conceive. As soon as she got medication she got pregnant straight away. Have you had all bloods etc checked for anything going on?xx
