charliesmum, nandos, beakas, sugr, cornflower, poppy, becky and everyone else who miscarried in may/june 2008....

We have all been very brave together and supported eachother. For those of us that are ready, it may be time to support eachother again as we return to TTC. Lets hold hands, remember our loss and give a nod to the future as we endeavour to procreate and............

SHAG!!

As promised, a thread to stay in touch. Will also see you on the MC avengers thread.

hello everyone..
seems quiet here lately..
had a difficult time searching this thread as its being pushed down so fast!
hope eveyone had a nice day today

BeckyBendyLegs · 26/06/2008 20:38

Hi Nandos

I was thinking the same thing! Where is everybody? Busy TTC'ing perhaps? I'm sitting here watching last night's big brother on my laptop and cooking tea while DH reads a story to the DSs.

I had a funny day really. I made the mistake of listening to the latest Coldplay album in the car. It had me blubbing away. I was not happy with myself but then I suppose since I am riding the crimson wave at the moment my emotions are a bit all over the place.

nandos · 26/06/2008 20:45

yeah maybe they are!
talking abt reading to your dss, i am really crap at reading to children! dont know what i'll do if i have a kid of my own
i sound like a robot and read as if im talking to myself rather than to the kids(my friend's kids) love them though
re listening to the music, maybe the stress of all the day's work made u wanna sing in the car

monkeybumsmum · 26/06/2008 23:02

Hello!

Been out to dinner this eve and just got back & am off to bed... Will check back tomorrow but just wanted to say hi!

Hope you're all okay

BeckyBendyLegs · 27/06/2008 11:53

Hi All

My first AF since MC seems to be going on for ever (perhaps I am just impatient) and it is heavier than normal. Did anyone else find this?

I've been working this morning while DSs are at preschool and childminder. Just off to fetch them now. Tonight I'm going for a drink with friends, leaving poor DH at home, but it doesn't happen very often.

Anyone got any exciting plans this weekend?

mummy2olivia · 27/06/2008 18:53

Yo my friends- it is quiet on here!!

No exciting plans at the weekend for me- prob a walk to the woods and a starbucks.

I have heard becky that the 1st AF is really heavy and tends to go on for longer.

I have had terrible back ache for a couple of days- wondering if I'm coming up to ovulation actually. Should be laying a nice big egg by the feel of things

Bad timing though- have given DH thrush and hes told me in no uncertain terms that hes 'not putting his n*b anywhere near me'- thats not very nice is it??!! Mind you, have had a look and it is glowing!!

hope you are all good. Give it a few weeks and I reckon there will be a BFP on here- who will it be?? lets start a sweepstake!!

monkeybumsmum · 27/06/2008 20:10

Hello girls!

m20, you make me laugh A glowing n*b. Fantastic. (But not, I suppose, for your dh...)

I think my first AF was pretty heavy at the beginning Becky, but it ended quite quickly. But we must all be different. How long was it in between mc and AF? That must make a difference. Also, think cd is cycle day or something like that. Not entirely sure myself!

Nandos, how are you feeling? Hope things are okay...

I now have tummy cramps so think AF is imminent . I was putting ds to bed earlier and randomly jumping up high to blow on the beads that dangle down from the light (makes him laugh), and I think I pulled a tummy muscle. If by any chance i was pg do you think this will affect anything? Am really worried now. Silly me.

mummy2olivia · 27/06/2008 20:28

Oh monkeybum!! Your story really reminds me that when any of us get pg again, we will worry ourselves stupid!! Dont worry hun, you wont have done any harm whatsoever. Your tummy muscles are quite thick and any pregnancy is well protected. If its meant to be there, it will stay there.

m2o your poor DH!

It was about 5 weeks from MC to AF for me. I am still bleeding and its day, errr, about five I think (my AFs are usually very short at 2-3 days).

I went to the local pub last night with some friends and one of us had the bright idea to sample the local fruit wine. Big mistake! Ahhhh! I am nursing a bit of a hangover this morning, groan. It tasted lovely though. I left my favourite hat in the pub so have to go back today and see if they have it.

mummy2olivia · 28/06/2008 11:52

I literally stopped bleeding from the mc and 5 days later the crimson wave swept me away- literally!! It was mega heavy and lasted 11 days!!

Poor becky- I hate hangovers. Am planning on having a few before I get up the pole again though

Nandos- how are things going with DH?

xx

Oh, BTW have put some pics on my profile.

Hi everyone AF arrived last night and I was soooo looking forward to joining you all on this thread BUT this morning a copy of a letter from the hosp to my GP arrived through the door saying that the blood tests they did when the mc was threatening showed that I have elevated Anticardiolipin antibodies(which could have been caused by my pg or illness as I was just after having bad bout of gastric flu or it could be caused by my RA) and I have to have another blood screening test at end of July to check levels. Until then have been advised to use contraception Boo Hoo!!! Was also advised to be treated for candida infection as that was found on swab. Did have a bit of thrush before which DH also seemed to get, Fancy that. M2o think he moaned about glowing parts as well.....
Your pics are great by the way. Love your wedding dress. Your dd is v cute.
We are going on holiday next week and I was hoping to chill out and ttc then but looks like I will have to put it on hold just now. Suppose I would kick myself if I didn't listen to them and things went wrong again.

Hope you all have a good wkend. Raining here in scotland. Typical summer holiday weather.

BeckyBendyLegs · 28/06/2008 14:32

I've just looked at your photos m2o too. Lovely

poppy sorry you can't start TTCing yet... But it is best to wait until your body is ready I guess. Boring though that is!

It is sunny here in Oxfordshire. DS2 is having his nap and I am working, BORING!

monkeybumsmum · 28/06/2008 22:32

Thanks m2o, you made me feel better . Have got raging PMT now so pretty convinced am not up the duff anyway. Your pics are great - I love the confetti one! It's great to see what you look like, have been wondering what everyone looks like for a while now, so am v pleased you put photo's on! Your DD looks lovely too...

Becky, hope you haven't been feeling too awful today! Did you manage to get your hat back?

Hi Poppy, it's a shame that you can't just get on with ttc, but you are right, if something went wrong then you would always wonder what if I'd have waited... Much better to get things sorted out, then you can really go for it! Where are you going on hols? Hope you have a lovely time!

Things okay here - spent ALL day on the computer searching for hotels for when me, DS and my parents go away in August to a wedding. Went for a lovely walk down our road with MIL and DS - he stroked his first horse!

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely weekend too .

BeckyBendyLegs · 29/06/2008 08:37

I haven't gone back for my hat yesterday but will do today I think en route to the Co-op. I don't even know what time pubs are open these days - I suppose they are open around lunchtime!

I wasn't too bad yesterday, not often I feel that grotty, but I would have been fine except my friend had said the night before 'oooh they do lovely fruity wines here let's just try some'. Famous Last Words I think! Our moving date is probably going to be the last Thursday in July so I'm going to have to have a leaving drinks with everyone here - I know I'm going to cry! I'm going to miss this place so much . DH doesn't quite understand since he is at work all day and I'm here all the time so I've made friends here and so have my DSs. It's quite a small community, everyone knows everyone. Ah well. We'll make new friendsw I'm sure and come back for a visit or two as well. And there is always facebook...not quite the same though somehow.

My AF has stopped now so I am back on the bonking bandwaggon!

nomoremagnolia · 29/06/2008 10:52

Ammy/Mummy2Olivia
Had to track you down to let you know I had a dream about you last night (hope I don't sound too stalker-ish ) In my dream you came to visit me at my Mum and Dad's house with a little girl and a baby boy called Alex (about 6months old) You were like an old friend but I was meeting the baby for the first time. Hope you don't think I'm really weird (for having the dream or for telling you about it!)

mummy2olivia · 29/06/2008 11:39

Oh nomore- thats soooo lovely!!! I dont think you are stalkerish at all- if i had a dream about you I would tell you!!!

Hope you are well nomore- how are things going with you? hope you come back here to answer that

I do think of you and hope you are ok

Oh and DH 'needs' to have a boy to continue his name and Alex is my top boys name so reckon you may be a bit psychic!

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 29/06/2008 11:59

I wasn't sure whether to tell you the name or not (in case you said you hated it and would never have a boy called Alex!) but then I thought it was so definite in the dream that that I had to mention it. Looks like there might be something in it too!!
I'm ok - first attempt at IVF didn't work so we're saving for the next go (hopefully Nov time) but in the meantime I'm pursuing the possibility of going back on Clomid as it seems my ov (or lack of ov) is our main problem.

mummy2olivia · 29/06/2008 12:14

Have you read up on Zita west nomore? I know it sounds obvious but some of her advice is very positive and well worth a go.

Has DH had his swimmers tested? were there any probs there?

Sorry to be nosey- have just researched TTC so much!!

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 29/06/2008 12:17

Hello, oooh I hope it is a premonition!

mummy2olivia · 29/06/2008 12:20

I know!! how exciting!!!

Although with DHs n*b glowing like some kind of beacon- no chance!!!

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 29/06/2008 12:22

I have the Zita West book already!
DH's swimmers were low about a year ago (very low % of them were properly formed) but when he did another sample for the IVF a coplue of months ago the results were much better - in fact the IVF clinic said they were very good, so it seem that my rather erratic ov is now the main problem. Before our chances were reduced as both of us were under-par but now I can make myself ov with Clomid, so the chance of getting pg 'naturally' is much better than it was. Fingers crossed that we can spend the money saved for IVF on buggies and cots and stuff instead!
How are you doing anyway? Hope you're ok, I've got to go out now but will check back on here later

nomoremagnolia · 29/06/2008 12:23

Have just seen your last post - hope he's ok? what happened?

mummy2olivia · 29/06/2008 12:28

Hes got thrush! Or friction burns

Nomore, that is such good news, its well worth making lifestyle changes- as soon as we did I got up the pole.

Speak soon hun xx

OP posts:
monkeybumsmum · 29/06/2008 13:27

Lol m2o at friction burns

I like your dream nomore, and so hope it comes true. Maybe we should do a sweepstake - I reckon m2o will fall first!

Becky, where are you moving to? True friends will stay your friends no matter where you move to...

Hope you're all having lovely Sundays!
