Oh no @Biscuitbaby2218 why do we all do that lol. It's VERY early, you should just decide that nothing happened. This test didn't happen. I'm crossing my fingers for you.

What is the latest you test before accepting that it is indeed a BFN? I tested this morning but since I am not sure when I ovulated I think I am dpo 12 to 14? Or should I expect a faint line even at 12/13 dpo?

It was a BFN (actually 5 🫢) - and I ugly cried for 2 hours at 4 am.

I feel a bit better but I still have a little hope it was too early since I have such long cycles, I might have ovulated later than the dr thought (I had a blood test as I am doing IUI, so it's got to be reliable, but even then, I thought it was a few days too early).

Anyway, nothing I can do (except test again for a few days) then start it all again if it is negative

NiftySheep · 10/12/2025 10:02

Not sure if it'll come up in the photo but got a really faint line at 11DPO. My feelings swing from it's positive (as I feel nauseous), it's a chemical (as I have cramping), or it's an indent (it doesn't look like much colour!)

Period is due on Friday, but I've never had any sort of positive this early before! Think it's just a waiting game now to see how it develops!

@NiftySheep I see something faint. Crossing everything I have for you!

Utardelis · 10/12/2025 14:36

@NiftySheep I see it!! 🙏

10dpo and BFN today, my last pregnancy (MMC) I got a vfl 9dpo so feeling like unfortunately this isnt our month. PMS symptoms since my miscarriage have been insane which turns symptoms spotting into an extreme sport 🤣

I can definitely a see a shadow, hopefully it turns into a clear BFP for you! Was this using FMU?

Janey3090 · 10/12/2025 14:42

I'm now CD10, and got 0.8 on the premom app on my ovulation test so it's definitely getting close! As part of my ovulation induction treatment I have a scan on Friday to see if I have/or am going to ovulate, so fingers crossed.

Good chance though I'll be testing over the Christmas period, eek!

Taysonic · 10/12/2025 16:31

Eeek @NiftySheep - I can definitely see it, so hopefully it continues to get darker as the days go by and you can start to believe.

Oooh that sounds promising @Janey3090 - sometimes I only ever manage to catch my peak being at 0.8 but I think I have quite a late and quick peak. Sending you lots of baby making dust!

As for me, I'm doing a very standard 7dpo freak out. Overly symptom spotting and being overly optimistic. Saw a rainbow today in the sky on the drive home from the school run and it made me very teary.

Trying to hold out on testing but man... I just want time to go by so quickly. I think I might be unable to resist early testing this time round.

Fullofconfusion · 10/12/2025 18:02

I got a bit grumpy with my DH the past 2 days. I think I ovulated CD19. We dtd CD18 and 19 and then I wanted to cover all bases and do CD20 too but he was tired. TTC is so hard! It’s hard to feel like you’re not trying as much as you should be. I know it only takes 1 sperm but yeah…I got a bit grumpy. I think the fact that it’s the last chance this year hit me hard.

I’m hoping we’ve done enough and it happens this month. Now 3dpo and in that awful 2 week wait.

Utardelis · 10/12/2025 19:38

@Fullofconfusion this is so easily done! Its hard not to put the pressure on them but we know the time frame

AF for some reason has arrived at 10dpo for me 🫠 ready to hibernate into next year

lepoissonM · 10/12/2025 19:38

It’s hard @Fullofconfusionmy H isn’t always the most keen of beans when it comes to lots of ovulation sex and it can be very frustrating. He’s also a lot more chilled than me and quite happy in the “if it happens, it happens” mindset, which doesn’t work for me! Having said that, I’m determined to not get too hung up on TTC this time round and not tracking anything other than rough cycle days. I’m somewhere around CD7 now I think but slightly unsure because I’ve had a lot of spotting before and after what I decided was CD1…

Fullofconfusion · 10/12/2025 20:22

Thanks ladies and @UtardelisI'm sorry AF is here. Enjoy all the wine and cheese of the festive season to keep yourself cheerful.

I try to be chilled about it but we’re 2 years into trying now with several losses down the way and I just feel time is running out. In my head the age gap between children is growing and my fertility is declining. We discussed trying during the fertile period on a previous cycle and I explained to him how there’s a few very important days of the month but I also appreciate that sometimes you’re just not in the mood. I’m trying to chill out again as there’s nothing I can do now

LuckyDuck93 · 11/12/2025 09:20

@Fullofconfusion I feel you massively with that, I start the month off with the best intentions of putting no pressure on ourselves but then ovulation comes round and i'm grumpy as soon as one day doesn't go to plan or at the slightest mention of him being tired. Its such hard work, I didn't imagine it being this miserable 😆

Taysonic · 11/12/2025 09:33

Oh I'm sorry AF has arrived @Utardelis - but as @Fullofconfusion has said, the silver lining is all the festive wine and cheese. Go nuts. Enjoy it all. And sending you lots of kindness with what I'm sure is a lot of disappointment.

The biggest misnomer of TTC is that you get to enjoy lots of amazing sex... I find trying to find the balance between enjoying it for what it is and feeling pressure in the moment can be really tricky. I definitely find a post-work session is easier psychologically than a 'just-before-bedtime' session as the excuse of feeling too tired doesn't really come into play. Some days that's easier said than done, but mornings or early evenings/late afternoons definitely feel less pressured.

8dpo today for me. Stupidly took a test this morning out of curiosity and absurd hope. Obviously nothing really there. I'm not sure what I was expecting. Kept hopefully looking at it to convince myself of there being something there but, there really wasn't. PLEASE HELP ME HOLD OFF TESTING.

8dpo today, AF could be due anytime from Monday onwards. 14dpo would be next Wednesday. That feels like it ought to be a very safe bet testing wise, but I just can't imagine myself holding out over the weekend.

daisy2025 · 11/12/2025 10:08

Hi I hope you don’t mind me joining! I’ve had a few months off here, started a new job and been trying to put ttc to the back of our minds for a bit. We’re now starting cycle 15 ttc #1.

Last week I had a hycosy through the NHS which wasn’t as bad as I was expecting! Everything looked good which I’m so grateful for. I have a short luteal phase and spotting before my period so suspect progesterone drops early. The fertility consultant has written a letter to my GP which asks them to prescribe progesterone pessaries. Has anyone had these and know if the GP will actually give them to me? I have an appointment tomorrow but worried they won’t prescribe them

TIA!

Plumchumm · 11/12/2025 11:40

Hiya does anyone else here not have their usual symptoms? I usually get sore boobs every cycle like clockwork but this time I’m 8dpo and still nothing. Pretty unheard of for me

LuckyDuck93 · 11/12/2025 12:21

@Taysonic im wondering if thats a better idea, after work I might be less tired 😂
Could you maybe just agree to test but do it every other day? At least then you won't be squinting too much as 48hrs should make a bigger difference to what you can see? I know that doesn't stop the testing all together but maybe puts you more in control of it!

@daisy2025 I had a friend who had them issued no problem by their GP!

Allmywishcometrue · 11/12/2025 12:52

@daisy2025 I just did 2 weeks of progesterone pessaries (not through my GP). I don't see why your GP would refuse, don't worry.

I'm in the same boat @daisy2025 - af arrived today at 8dpo. Sometimes I get 10 days luteal phase if I'm lucky. Good luck for the appointment! I'm planning to call the fertility nurse to see if progesterone is an option x

My H isn’t following my cycle but I do wonder sometimes if my MIL is… she has offered to take our son for a sleepover on Saturday night so we can have a night to ourselves, which is quite good timing for us… Hmm

That sounds amazing! I'm sure it's probably just coincidental but hats off to your MIL.

9dpo today for me. Feel like I'm going insane. Symptom spotting like mad (one moment I convince myself one way, then a moment later, I'm convinced the other). My son is with his Dad (my ex) this weekend and we very rarely don't have any plans. Planning to try and rest and relax as much as possible but I've already warned my partner I'm going to be a bag of restless energy and may need to keep myself busy and distracted despite us telling ourselves what we need is a very chilled weekend!

Fullofconfusion · 12/12/2025 13:49

6DPO here for me. Feeling totally flat and drained at the moment. Not particularly hopeful for this month.

@TaysonicI think I need a distraction too! It’s worse when you’re trying to chill out but you can’t turn your brain off!

Allmywishcometrue · 12/12/2025 14:23

@Taysonic and @Fullofconfusion I am the opposite. The only thing I can do when I wait is to curl up under a blanket and watch movies/series or deep clean/tidy up the house. I can't do anything else as I can't focus/start feeling too down or anxious.

I am crossing absolutely everything I have for you two (and anyone else in the dreaded 2ww)

lepoissonM · 12/12/2025 16:47

@Taysonic I also need to keep busy during the TWW. Are there Christmas preparations you can do? I feel very disorganised this year!

daisy2025 · 12/12/2025 20:34

@LuckyDuck93 @Allmywishcometrue
Thank you, my doctor has prescribed Cyclogest for me to try this cycle 🤞🏼

@ttcnumerodos sorry to hear that, it really is disheartening when AF comes so early each month 🥲 hopefully you can get some to try as I’ve heard it can help!

thehumgoesonforever · 13/12/2025 12:53

@Plumchumm yeah I’m the same as you, normally mine are sore quite soon after ovulation and I’m now 11dpo and no soreness, they feel fuller if that makes sense
