@BabyBorn@Kittybway@Mismatc oh wow congratulations! Lost of positive stories!!

@ChaE05I posted today as I’ve been feeling a little down lately too. I came off here because I felt like I was obsessing and I’ve been trying to take things in my stride month by month. I’m a year on now since we started ttc and since I had the chemical and we’ve had no luck since. My partner has a little op just over a month ago too so we have had a couple of months of not trying but will be back in business this cycle 🤞 I’m seeing my gp tomorrow for some results from my blood tests and I’m going to ask her to refer me to a fertility clinic (private because I’m not eligible for nhs. I really thought I’d be pregnant by now so I’m definitely feeling a bit disheartened by it all! I’m lucky I have three beautiful children so I didn’t think it would get to me this much. I came into this with a “if it happens it happens” outlook, but I really want it to happen! Xxx

Ugh @Wingingitlifethis journey is truly all consuming and so so exhausting isnt it. Feel like im not always truly present and im petrified im going to get to a point where I have to accept it wont happen for us and then feel like I haven't truly soaked up every day of my Son! That really scares me.
Im so sorry its not happening for you either. Why would you not be entitled to an NHS referral?
Remind me...how old are your other children and how long did it take you to concieve them?
Remember you can still desperately want another child and be extremely thankful for those you have. You cant help how you feel xx

@ChaE05it really is! I feel like my luteal phase is awful now too! I don’t ever remember it being this bad before but I was on the coil for 10 years so I can’t really remember. I don’t know if it’s my age but I feel for a full 2 weeks I’m exhausted, sore boobs, cravings, sometimes headaches and low mood! I feel like that doesn’t help because every month I think I’m so symptomatic I must be pregnant! So my first child is now 19, I had her when I was 21 and I was on the pill at the time! My second was a twin pregnancy and I was 29, I fell pregnant within 3 months of trying. I’m also so much healthier than I was when I was younger so I guess I just thought it would happen quick. I was told I wasn’t eligible for fertility help on the nhs as I’ve already got children, even though my partner has none. Xx

@Wingingitlifehave you been told that for a doctor? You absolutely are entitled to it. Obviously not IVF but ive had a pelvic ultrasound, a HyCoSy and full panel of bloods and day 3 bloods plus progesterone. Partner has also had 2 x semen analysis via GP and they also referred him for a testicular scan to check for any varicocele. (We did a sperm dna fragmentation test privately and it was ever so slightly higher than ideal)
Defo push for these tests. My friend had been trying a year then she had a HyCosy and 2 cycles later fell pregnant. They say it helps flush your tubes and boots your chance of concieving for the next 3 months.
Is your partner also very desperate for this to happen?
At this point I cant even believe that I actually managed to fall pregnant twice last year ! And feels like my little boy must be a miracle xx

Wingingitlife · 02/06/2026 07:31

Yes that’s what my gp told me. So even if I’m not entitled to IVF I should be entitled to more tests? Do they refer you to a fertility clinic for that? My partner is also desperate yes, and he’s a great step dad to my others so I can’t wait to see him with a baby 🥹 he is going to see his gp about semen analysis once he’s fully recovered from his op xxx

ChaE05 · 02/06/2026 07:45

@Wingingitlifeall the bloods were done at the GP and also the pelvic ultrasound and semen analysis. They said they needed all of this before they could refer me to the fertility clinic. All I had done at the fertility clinic was the HyCosy and then had a consultation with the doctor and they basically told me my next step was IVF.
I went private and did a couple of rounds of super ovulation but that didnt work and so expensive.
Definitely worth getting your hubby's SA done for sure ! I soooo hope this happens for you xx

@ChaE05hey so I had my appointment today, she said my Amh, thyroid etc test was normal and my progesterone one I had in Feb was normal. However the progesterone one I had this month was low (however my cycle this month was shorter than usual at 23 days). The other half is booked in to see his gp in a couple of weeks and she has referred me to the fertility clinic pending his results 🙏🏽

Wingingitlife · 02/06/2026 19:16

@ChaE05what is super ovulation? Xx

ChaE05 · 04/06/2026 19:02

@Wingingitlifethats brilliant. Really pleased they are doing what they should be ! Hopefully everything comes back normal. Could they give you progesterone to support your luteal phase? Xx
