I’m a 1986 baby as well! Wishing you all lots of luck and deepest sympathies to those of you who have suffered sad news 💔 I had my first at 37 and my second a month ago at 39 so there is definitely hope for fertility in your late 30s!

BabyBorn · 31/07/2025 12:44

@ChaE05I took them for my first two pregnancies too. I didn’t have any problem with them but I haven’t taken them for over 13 years! Can’t do right for doing wrong can you! 😂😂

MixedBananas · 31/07/2025 13:01

I am 38 and TTC my 3rd. Had my 1st at 34, 2nd at 37 and we started TTC very early this time as my clock be ticking!
Are you doing any tracking. I love using Fertility Friend with OPKs and BBT. My 1st full cycle using them. But this month has been a shambles. Everything that could get in the way of BD happend and we only BD day of first Positive OPK and day after. I hope that is enough.
With my previous 2 we did Sperm Meets Egg Prpgramme and BD exactly as the Programme says and got pregnant right away. This cycle was hectic and Next month we are away during my fertile week!!!! And traveling on peak day 🤮😭 so I hwve very little confidence....

ChaE05 · 31/07/2025 14:22

@twobabiesandapupaww thank you so much for sharing! And a huge congratulations to you 🥰 can I ask how long it took you to concieve both? X

ChaE05 · 31/07/2025 14:26

@MixedBananasyes I'm tracking over here and I'm pretty regular with ovulation and also get EWCM. I think I need to give this SMEP! I've heard good things. I'm currently 4dpo on my 9th cycle 🫠 usually I'm very positive each cycle but I just feel very negative and already counted myself our this month x

twobabiesandapup · 31/07/2025 14:39

@ChaE05of course! So my first was born the month after I came off the depo injection, I hadn’t actually had a full period yet so didn’t think my fertility had returned to normal yet but clearly it had! It was actually 7 months after I’d been told I had polycystic ovaries as well so felt like a bit of a miracle. And then my second was actually conceived whilst I was on the mini pill 9 months after my first was born. We had planned to wait 18 months until trying again so she was a very happy accident 😂

Wingingitlife · 31/07/2025 14:45

Hey! 👋🏼 I am currently 11dpo (I think), app reckons my period is due today but I think I might have ovulated late so I’m not sure. I did cave and test a couple of days ago (9dpo) and it was negative but I think it was probably too early anyway. Technically my first proper cycle since iud removal so I don’t know fire sure what my cycle lengths are like. Might do a test tomorrow 😬

ChaE05 · 01/08/2025 16:31

@Wingingitlifewelcome! Did you cave and test again today? 🤞

ChaE05 · 01/08/2025 16:32

@twobabiesandapupoh wow ! You are very fertile 🤣🤣 bet that has been beautiful but hard work xx

ChaE05 · 01/08/2025 16:33

How is everyone? Have just had appointment through for the fertility clinic via NHS. GP referred me yesterday and I have a 40 min telephone appointment on the 8th Sept. Was expecting it to be a much longer wait!

Oooh that’s not too long to wait at all 🤞🏼

Kittybway · 01/08/2025 19:17

Hello guys, can I join? Im 39 ttc my second after a second trimester loss in February. I have a 2 year old and would love a second. Took 2/3 months to fall with my dd and the loss, but I'm cycle 4 ttc now.

Periods are like clockwork but randomly 6 days late last month. Im not sure iv been ovulating, I am cd20 and clue thinks I ov on day 14 but iv had several lh peaks and temps are a bit all over - if anyone could advise I'll post the bbt graph.

I had lots of tests after the loss and everything looks good, I'm healthy weight and lifestyle but oh is a bit overweight.

Sending fertile thoughts to you all - my bestie had 2 kids in her early 40s and gives me hope!

BabyBorn · 01/08/2025 19:57

So sorry about your loss @Kittybway. You know, I think we just obsess a little with TTC and we end up not falling pregnant as soon as we hope. I think I am going to take a leaf out of my own book this month and try and not do any testing. I found I fell pregnant twice when life events happened and took my focus off TTC. I had been trying forever and it happened when I stopped thinking about it. I’m going to spend this next few months doing that and see where it takes me. I hope you get some luck real soon x

Kittybway · 01/08/2025 20:15

Yes i agree @BabyBorn I am trying to fill my summer with things I love and enjoy! And I'm not cutting out or restricting anything either. Because I am incredibly lucky to have a DD and if we end up a triangle family that's fine with me!

BabyBorn · 01/08/2025 20:47

Me too @Kittybwaystarted yoga around 7 weeks ago, started making time for reading again. Walking daily and eating good food.
Yes exactly! So lucky to have the children we already have! 🥰

Kittybway · 01/08/2025 20:59

I need to get back into yoga! Glad youre enjoying it. I run 3 times a week and do physio/strength training 3 times a week. I also have a few drinks and occasionally forget my supplements and have a stressfull job which i love so much! Life's too short xx

BabyBorn · 02/08/2025 06:48

Wow! That’s prettt hardcore! 😂 they say if your body was already used to those kind of exercises before pregnancy then it’s safe to continue don’t they. I am restricting my diet a little and have stopped eating sugar, refined carbs and processed foods. I feel like it’s my last chance at this so need to give it a good go. the book “Irs starts with the egg” states that these foods can cause egg damage and hinder conception. I don’t want to cut down on calories drastically as this can stop you getting pregnant too. It’s finding that balance 🥴
I’ve also started taking COq 10 and doubled my Methylfolate. 🤞

ChaE05 · 02/08/2025 07:35

@BabyBornit's so hard to find the balance isn't it! Everything I'm reading says it's really important to eat enough and to saturated fats...full fat butter, milk, yoghurt, cottage cheese, advocados, nuts etc. I've completely switched my diet to loads of whole foods and minimal sugar, processed food. I also want to lose the last of my baby weight, only about half a stone, but it's not budging 😅 but I'd rather work on getting pregnant than that x

BabyBorn · 02/08/2025 07:54

Morning @ChaE05the full fat list will be because they are calorific which is what they suggest to keep calories up. The Mediterranean diet offers this too, nuts, avocado, olive oil, yoghurt, olives and cheese. I stick with these. I agree, work on getting pregnant rather than loosing weight. I only eat if I am hungry really and try and not snack. I have been having the odd few pieces of 85% dark chocolate if I’m feeling sorry for myself missing out 😂😂 if you stick to 3 meals a day with healthy fats and no snacks I am sure you will shift a little weight with a strong chance of pregnancy too!

I’m excited for this cycle. On CD 8 after my miscarriage. Had a huge amount of stress the past 7 weeks after losing my nan and only being able to have her funeral last week. Hope this is a positive month for all of us! 😘

Wingingitlife · 02/08/2025 08:36

@ChaE05No af today and another negative test 🥴

@Kittybwayyou sound similar to me haha, I train a lot and have a stressful job 😆 physically I feel like I’m much more healthy that when I had kids in my 20s! I don’t really drink at all now either maybe 1 or 2 times a year.

im also on it with the full fat Greek yoghurt, avocado, nuts and all that… I’ve actually put a few pounds on 😂

put of curiosity has anyone tried acupuncture for ttc?

ChaE05 · 02/08/2025 08:41

@BabyBorni think I'm doing the Mediterranean diet without realising 🤣 I am a massive foodie and I actually love healthy food, I'm not into takeaways or junk. But I do love a biscuit and chocolate! But have completely cut biscuits out, don't buy them anymore. Have switched to dark choc too! Will have some fruit and Greek yog in the evening if I have a sweet craving!
So sorry to hear about your Nan, just a difficult time for you 😢 sending love x
The start of a new cycle is great isn't it, the optomism and hope. Then you get to about 7dpo and the negativity sets in haha x

BabyBorn · 02/08/2025 12:04

Wrote a post but it wouldn’t send! Photoshot it instead so I didn’t lose it! 😮‍💨😂

Wingingitlife · 02/08/2025 12:43

Ok so a little update, I left my negative test on the windowsill this morning, went down for a coffee and when I came back I saw this v v faint line, just assumed it was an indent or evap as it was outside the 10 minutes. You can’t really see on the pic but it looks a little more pink close up.

anyway, I found a full thread on here of people that have got a similar line on this test (clear & simple) and then got a positive on a frer a day or two later!! So now I don’t know what to think! 🫣 give ordered a frer on Amazon same day delivery so I can test in the morning 🤞🏼
