A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

Aawww congratulations ladies! @lynzmb and ! how are you both feeling? I’ve been testing every day for 3 days and BDN here. I’m 12DPO x

Thank you @BabyBorn🥰 feeling fine thanks, a bit tired but no major symptoms. I had pretty debilitating nausea last time from about 7 weeks which I am today so just keeping everything crossed. Although the lack of symptoms is also a worry isn't it 😬
Hope you're ok - when is AF due for you? x

Writerscompanion · 19/03/2025 19:13

@lynzmbvery similar for me although I’m only 4+6, I had stronger symptoms at this stage last time and felt ‘different’ which I don’t quite yet this time. I’m tired and boobs a bit achey is all really today, yesterday I got a single wave of nausea and one strong smell. Just telling myself every pregnancy is different. Plus I was horribly ill for weeks last time so I don’t mind if symptoms aren’t as bad or they start a bit later, as long as all is well.

BabyBorn · 19/03/2025 19:27

Has just written a long thread then lost it! 🙄🥴

The last message was supposed to include @Writerscompanion but it didn’t tag you for some reason! Congratulations!

@lynzmboh I get you on the nausea. It’s just the worst thing isn’t it! I had it badly with all three of my pregnancies but it went at around 13 weeks. I got through it by snacking a lot!! Instead of having big meals.

keep in touch ladies so we can see how you both get on! Exciting times!

Im in the Canaries now celebrating my 40th for the week. Back on Saturday! My cycle should start this Friday! Hoping it holds off until we get home though! Looking forward to starting a fresh cycle and seeing what happens! X

Joleyjojo · 20/03/2025 20:22

11 DPO and stark white! Assuming I’m out as my AF comes 12dpo. This one has hit hard. Gutted I don’t know how to keep going feeling so upset today.

good luck to everyone really hope this is a positive thread xxxx

its Hard isn’t it, some cycles get you more than others.
try and keep busy today and focus on trying again in a few days time. Do some nice things for yourself ❤️

sometimes babies have their own time scale in mind and it’s not always to our time scale- I just keep thinking of that as I’m now 20 odd cycles in to trying.
Funnily enough the first year I was more obsessive and desperate and now I’m just kind of going with the flow and waiting patiently for this baby to choose its month to come. I wanted to be pregnant before 40 but now at peace with it happening in my 40s.
@Joleyjojo i hope to see your bfp pic on here really soon

BabyBorn · 22/03/2025 10:07

Hey ladies. Just getting ready to leave the villa in the Canaries and AF has showed so new cycle for me which I was expecting. Back to acupuncture and herbs and better eating next week!! Actually looking forward to it! I ovulated 3 days early this month and my cycle was only 26 days long! Assuming it was acupuncture and clean eating that threw it off! Hopefully it will be longer this next cycle as I won’t be as strict with my diet but still no sugars or processed foods! 🤪🥴

At this rate we are all going to be very close together with cycle dates! I’ve already worked out I would be due on 28th of December if I ovulate on the 6th of April as I’m due! 😂😂

MrBigsCat · 22/03/2025 11:59

@BabyBorn so weird I also ovulated on day 10 last cycle which was 2 days early! So I had a 24 day cycle.
I had my 3rd acupuncture yesterday and found it really relaxing.
sorry AF showed for you, I hope you had a good holiday though

BabyBorn · 22/03/2025 13:40

Definitely a strange one ! Got my next acupuncture appointment on Wednesday. I’ve not been taking my Chinese teas or anything this last week so will be back to it tomorrow. Glad you found your session relaxing! I do too.
The holiday has been brilliant! Waiting for our flight to Manchester now! X

Joleyjojo · 23/03/2025 18:29

Well I am CD2 AF showed, which I knew. If I don’t get a BFP by 10/11 I know I am out.
we have made the decision to stop trying at 41, 9/10 cycles left.
I am always really emotional with a BFN at 11 DPO and less so once AF actually arrives.
I am starting the dreaded diet tomorrow
hoping that by loosing some weight and becoming more active will help.
really hope to see lots of BFP soon on here x

I feel a bit like this…will only continue trying for so long but I haven’t actually set a deadline yet. Not out loud anyway.

I’m CD31 but only 7DPO. My last cycle was 38 days due to a chemical pregnancy so I have no idea what’s happening this cycle. Usually cycles vary between 31/33 days. I have no signs of AF yet but due to late ovulation I don’t think I necessarily would

BabyBorn · 23/03/2025 19:49

@Joleyjojo how long have you been trying? I am going to give up too in around 3 months time. I am also getting really upset when testing early and getting BFNs. Mostly really moody around this period and can’t snap out of it! I then feel positive for the next cycle and start again 🥴

What diet are you starting tomorrow? I went shopping today and bought lots of healthy food and no snacks that will
tempt me! x

Fullofconfusion · 24/03/2025 19:45

Ergh I have cramps. No AF yet but I expect her to arrive soon. Trying not to get into a slump over it but feel like the clock is ticking. Just want her to arrive now so I can carry on into next month

Daisychains9 · 25/03/2025 16:43

Hi everyone, it has been really comforting to read everyone's experiences on here and thank you for being such a lovely and supportive group. I am 39, about to turn 40 in a couple of weeks. I had my first son when I just turned 38. It was a fairly easy conception. Prior to this I had had one miscarriage and an eptopic pregnancy (fallopian tube removed). We tried again on his first birthday and I got pregnant straight away. I then had a miscarriagege at 6 weeks which was not picked up until 12 weeks and a failed operation but it eventually resolved.

I became very sick with unrelated infections (including pneumonia) and was in hospital for about a month over the period of two months. It has taken a long time to recover and during that time I was advised not to TTC. I am starting to feel better and have the green light to TTC.

I have just had some fertility tests done and my AMH has fallen dramatically (maybe because of having been so unwell), but my follical count is 12. The advice has been that I can try natually for another month but I need to start IVF if it does not work. I have my fingers crossed I will concieve this month, I have been taking all supplements etc and eating well.

It has just felt like such a rough ride and so many months of not being able to try. But fingers crossed.

Crossing fingers and toes for you!

I’m 11dpo, AF due on Saturday. Really tempted to test today but shouldn’t be wasting money when I could just have a little patience instead.

You know what? I could do with a walk anyway. I'm going to pop to the chemist and buy some tests. Possibly a waste of money, but feck it. Wish me luck!

@poppymango good luck!

AF has arrived for me unfortunately. Good news is that my cycle is back to a normal (for me) length after last month’s chemical. I’m trying to see the positives. Onto the next cycle…

Solidarity… I just got a negative test. I misread it at first and my heart gave a little leap 😔

Time to really start looking at IVF now I think.
