A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

Waaaay too tempting! 🫣

BabyBorn · 11/03/2025 19:42

Welcome @NMB85 oowww 6 months… ha ha. I’m less than a week away from 40 🥴😢 can’t believe it!
Thats brilliant that you have had a child quite recently too. Hopefully you will have a second soon. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage though. Hopefully March/April will be our month!

BabyBorn · 11/03/2025 19:45

@MrBigsCat missed it then for sure 😂

Ah right. Well the herbs are actually boiled to make tea. Do you know if he sells them where he practises? The lady I see keeps them in massive jars like it’s a sweet shop!! 😂

Fullofconfusion · 11/03/2025 19:56

Can I join you ladies?

Also 40 and TTC. I have a 6 year old and devastatingly had a TFMR last summer at 22 weeks. Last month I had a chemical pregnancy just to add to my anxiety.

I'm currently cd19 but according to OPKs not ovulated just yet. I've never really had much success with them as I seem to always miss the peak but I'm giving them a go again this month.

Keeping everything crossed for everyone

NMB85 · 11/03/2025 20:13

Oh my son is 5 years old, it feels like forever ago I had a baby in my arms lol but fingers crossed I’ve had a lucky month!
happy birthday for a few days time! Hope you’re doing something nice to celebrate 🥳
xx

NMB85 · 11/03/2025 20:14

Sorry about your loss xx

BabyBorn · 12/03/2025 10:45

5 days post ovulation and time is dragging!

Going away to the Canaries on Saturday to celebrate my 40th and I'm packing some tests in the suitcase!! 😂😂

lynzmb · 12/03/2025 10:52

Hello ladies, hope it's ok to join. I'm 40 (and a half lol)
TTC no 2. I have DS, 7. Been trying for 6 months, no joy yet. I think I'm 1 or 2dpo, but waiting for LH levels to go down, they have been super high this month. Hope everyone is getting on ok! x

CointreauQuaint · 12/03/2025 11:13

Hey, can I join too please? I’m older at 42 though 😬😬 trying for first, had a miscarriage last year and really feel like it’s all against me now. Hope everyone is doing ok today

9dpo spotting pink and bfn so assuming I’m out this month

BabyBorn · 12/03/2025 17:44

Never know @MrBigsCat could be implantation?

NMB85 · 13/03/2025 04:37

Around 7dpo POAS again this morning and still BFN. Not even a shadow of one. I know it’s still early but damn I’m impatient to know either way! 😩

SaltedPotato · 13/03/2025 08:19

Hi all 37.5 TTC baby number 2. He took 2.5 years due to multiple miscarriages at various stages. Stupidly I thought this would be easier this time round but nope. First try ended in an ectopic requiring methotrexate stealing 3m+ of time I don't have. DH is mid 40s so time is not on our side. One thing I have noticed since I started ttc initially in 2020 is I don't ovulate every month, whereas I used to.

Currently 5dpo and got my fingers crossed. @BabyBorn we should be testing around the same time I'm thinking.

BabyBorn · 13/03/2025 09:10

Hi @SaltedPotato sorry to hear about your losses. Can be such a tough journey can’t it! How do you know you don’t ovulate every month? Do you feel the ovulation itself or have you had some testing done?

Yes, I’m going to be testing on March 17th where I will be 10DPO. I try not to test any earlier. I’m 40 next week and already have 3 wonderful girls. Our last little one was not planned and since having her 32 months ago we decided we would like to try for one more. So here we are 😂😂

Hopefully this will be out month ladies 👶🎉

Retrospeaker · 13/03/2025 09:13

Hi @Fullofconfusion im so sorry for your loss. It turns your whole world inside out doesn’t it.

How long did it take for your cycles to regulate? (If they have). I’m 5 months in and have no idea what’s going on…. Although I have got some EWCM going on at the moment I think so just going with that!

I do LH tests and I just know my body. I've had early rises, prolonged rises etc. My cm hasn't been right. I'm hoping to test on 17th too at 9dpo

BabyBorn · 13/03/2025 14:45

Ah I see @SaltedPotatoim pretty in tune with my body too so I know what you mean. Do you think there is any reason to why you don’t ovulate every month, and the CM? It’s strange isn’t it how so different we are and why these things happen!
I am trying really hard to keep my diet really nutritious and limiting sugar. I feel I am doing so much in terms of supplements, acupuncture, diet, limiting toxins and not pregnant every month!! 😫

Doubtful, it’s the same every month.
any implantation bleeding I’ve ever had has been after my period was due and after my bfp
good luck everyone for this cycle 🤞🏻🤞🏻

It absolutely does. I find myself looking at so many things differently and I’m triggered by lots that didn’t used to bother me. It’s not an easy after loss.

My cycles were never regular until my TFMR. I used to regularly have super long cycles but after my TFMR it only took 3 months to settle into a solid cycle which really surprised me. I seem to ovulate super late now though which worries me. Currently CD21 with no opk peak yet. My cycles are usually 33 days however last month I had a chemical which caused a 38 day cycle.

Hoping for ovulation soon!

SaltedPotato · 13/03/2025 18:14

@BabyBorn I'm pretty laid back re diet etc. I do generally eat too much sugar and processed foods I think though. But I don't drink or smoke, I exercise and my BMI is healthy.
In terms of why I'm not ovulating every month. I don't know it's a new thing. I'm presuming it's my age in all honesty. All we can do is carry on trying and see what happens.

MrBigsCat · 13/03/2025 19:42

So funny @BabyBorn im day 8 of no sugar and plenty grains, fruit and veg as a fertility diet along with starting gym and acupuncture. I’ve decided this year is me having my best body and mind for a pregnancy 🤞🏻

Joleyjojo · 13/03/2025 20:50

4dpo and I am dying to POAS then be depressed all day when it’s negative 😂😂😂

Never related more! 🤣 xx

Fayra · 14/03/2025 06:23

Morning everyone and welcome to the new joiners 😊

I got my period on Wednesday so currently day 3 of a brand new cycle, impatiently waiting for my period to sod off so we can get trying again!

I've never had an issue with getting pregnant before so have to assume it's age related now but will keep going and hope for the best this cycle🤞🏻
