TWW at 40 yrs old

A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

Just got my period. I knew it was coming, I could feel it, but I’m still sad. I’m so worried it’ll never happen.

I can’t stop crying. It’s so silly because I knew it was coming but I’m heartbroken. I need to call my doctor first thing on Monday and book a proper fertility test.

Ah so sorry 😞 it's so tough. My period started on Fri and I've felt so miserable since.

Good luck with making contact with DR and getting some tests. It can really help to feel like you are taking some control

Hey @poppymango it's completely normal. I've felt exactly the same. I'm on day 7 now and with the sun shining and the weather a little better it's giving us new hope for a good month! X

@poppymango so sorry. My period came too. Feeling a little better now that my hormones have settled a bit! Hope you do soon too 💙

I did a test yesterday at 11DPO and negative. Hoping my period comes soon it’s due anyday but my cycles have been bonkers since the TFMR so really hoping they are settling down!

So sorry to hear this @poppymango & @lemonandsugarpancakes. Wishing you lots of luck for the next cycle. I'm around 6dpo today so will probably test at the weekend. Trying not to get my hopes up too much though.

im trying acupuncture this week and going to do a few months and see if that does anything to help

Sorry that you got your period OP, it never gets easier does it, like a kick in the ovaries every time. And on to the next month...

I'm 41, with a 3 year old who was conceived very easily. 1.5 years ago I miscarried with a blighted ovum at 11 weeks and my cycles have been irregular ever since. Today is CD 65, and I'm 5/6 dpo after LH surging for 7 days and to top all of that off...this evening I'm spotting pink, watery blood. What in the blimmin heck is going on I don't know, but I'm waiting a few days to test....

I hope we all get what we desire so much 🙏🏻

I think I'm going to be out this month. I'm 13dpo without even a hint of a line on any test I've tried and period is due in the next couple of days. I was super hopeful this month as I was sure I had a load of symptoms but I guess not! So hard not to read into everything isn't it?!

Did you start acupuncture @MrBigsCat? How often do you go and can you feel any difference with anything at all?

I've been doing twice a week but the woman has gone abroad for 3.5 weeks so have only done just over 3 weeks worth and on Chinese herbs too. My ovulation jumped from 16-17 days to 12 this month! Well it was pretty much almost midnight so would have been almost CD 13!

Yes @BabyBorn i did I’ve done one session so far and another booked for this week.
he said he has had a lot of success with natural pregnancies.
I think it will be a good few sessions to feel a difference
thats good about your ovulation. I ended up ovulating on day 10 this cycle which feels a bit early! This was before the acupuncture though.

Ah right. Do you go to a Chinese man? There’s a British guy near me that does it and has good recommendations but I decided to start acupuncture with a Chinese acupuncturist because it’s all she does and she was originally taught in China. I find it all really interesting. Especially the herbs. Are you taking herbs @MrBigsCat or just having the acupuncture?

I haven’t started my period but two pregnancy tests are negative. CD 39 now. Only had a cycle that long once before -
this happened last year. Didn’t have a period for almost three months, got bloods done on the next one which were all normal, then fell pregnant unexpectedly the next cycle which ended in the TFMR.

Now cycles have been all over the place since and now looks like I’m going to have a big gap again. Terrified it’s not going to happen for me at all - or worse, end up in a TFMR again.

Can I join? I’m on I think 5dpo now. I’m 40 in 6 months and have a 5 year old and had a MMC in 2021. Haven’t been in a position where I might fall pregnant since properly until now. I’m obsessively testing with cheapies despite it being way too early 🙈

Im the same I’ve started testing at 6dpo
whey you have cheapies in the house it’s too tempting
