TWW at 40 yrs old

A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

I’m going to get some CB test and test after I get back. I had a weird twinge yesterday, didn’t think much of it, but potentially it might be connected. So will see.

You’re right. I did not expect it at all, that’s why I was thinking yesterday it’s more line eyes, or the lighting in the bathroom. Today it’s pretty much the same, but will see 🤞

Also, for now I’ll try to avoid the other group only because of what happened last time around. I rather be expecting the worse and be pleasantly surprised than being too optimistic and then disappointed😣. But will be keeping tabs on here for now

Picked up a very faint line on a Easy@Home test yesterday morning at 9dpo, and an ever so slightly darker one this morning. Double-checked with a ClearBlue, and the results look pretty conclusive. We've been TTC for baby #1 since January, so this is very welcome news!

Well my first response came, I did one yesterday and one this morning and they are both negative so I’m sure why the first one I posted was pink a little bit, have to just wait until next month

Hi I turned 40 in January, already have 3 kids (2 pregnancies) and just started ttc #4 with a new partner. I had an IUD for 6 years then had it replaced for 2/3 years. I had my iud removed on 23/6, my sex drive sky rocketed that day which I just assumed that was because of the rise of estrogen after removal. 24/6 I had egg white discharge and my sex drive was still really high for the next couple of days. I did ovulation tests from the 24th onwards but they were just really faint for about 4 days till they disappeared. No strong positives. I haven’t had a period for years because of my iud but the month before I got it removed I had a small bleed for a couple days which I just tracked as a period (this is my second iud and after about 3 years in my periods returned but irregular so I assume the same was starting to happen again). Based on this according to my flow app I was due to ovulate on the 27/6. However I think if I have then if it’s not unusual to ovulate straight after removal I think that maybe I have ovulated somewhere between 23-25th 🤔 my app thinks my period is due around the 13/6.
Anyway so yesterday when I wiped I had some bloody discharge. Today I’ve had some light-medium bleeding. I’ve had a banging migraine since yesterday and heightened sense of smell. I have no other period symptoms, usually, even when I don’t get an actual period when my IUD was in place, I would get absolutely ravenous for chocolate, very very sore boobs and I’d have a really low mood/irritability for a day or two before I turned. I’ve had none of this!
has anyone experienced anything similar to this and turned out to be pregnant?

progesterone has a lot to answer for with the chocolate cravings etc and that could be either period or pregnancy related I guess

Yes it did, the other clear blue were stark white so not sure what it was

@MrBigsCatunfortunately not pregnant this time around. I think it was just my cycle trying to make a return after having my iud removed. I bled lightly for 3 days!

Hope everyone is going well. I’m trying to convince my husband to DTD but he’s reluctant in the heat ….!?! So annoying!

My first post miscarriage period seems to have started this morning. I’ve felt a bit crampy for the last couple of days so it wasn’t a surprise. I’m glad it’s here but also annoyed with the timing as if my cycle goes back to how it was before then I’ll ovulate whilst my partner is away for a week. Not ideal

Please can I ask for some more advice.

I have had another month using clearblue smiley face OPK tests. Again I had no flashing smile just straight to a static smile which I got today (CD13 so seems correct).

I understand the flashing smile shows rising estrogen and if I never get flashing smiles it might indicate I have low estrogen which is why I am not conceiving.

I had standard fertility tests done at the GP to see if I am in perimenopause (day 21 I think they are?) and they called and told me all was normal with my levels.

does anyone else have low estrogen diagnosed (I could do an at home blood test) but if that’s the case what do I do? I could start HRT and take estrogel maybe to raise levels?

Anyone had similar experience please and can kindly offer thoughts

I actually had that recently, it was after a first time ever missed/late period. So I thought it was bit of a peri glitch. And I ovulated earlier than normally. But that’s also the month I got pregnant. Unfortunately I miscarried at 5.5weeks. Fast forward to first cycle after MC and I’m pregnant again, didn’t actually think it would happen, or it would be that quick. This time I had two days of high and then peak on clearblue.

I’m either 9 or 10dpo. Had evaps a day or so ago so I’m refusing to test again and just get negatives. I’d rather be blissfully ignorant and enjoy the possibility this week.

For four days my boobs have been absolute agony though, which is unusual for me. So bloody sore. Logged strange CM as well. And then today my temperature plummeted and I got really despondent. AF isn’t due till the weekend so I’m hoping it’s not coming early.

How are you? How’s everyone else?

I’m likely 4/5 dpo. I know nothing likely to feel different but I’m just hoping! Taking my supplements and having my acupuncture. It helps at least to feel like you’re doing everything you can to try. Sending everyone best wishes
