TWW at 40 yrs old

A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

Little update from me. Think I’m about 11dpo and got my bfp this morning. Was feeling really off past couple days. Like hungover. Nauseous and lightheaded. I’m 40 and this was really our second cycle ttc number 3. We were on holiday and only got back early hours yesterday morning so a little holiday baby. Think being so relaxed helped

So I’ve had a really tough few days but it seems to come in pockets. When I’ve felt okay I’ve felt really well. Did some decorating, groomed the dogs etc. Then it comes on again and I feel rough and have to nap.

Yesterday however, in addition I had the worse menstrual cramps I’ve had since I can remember. So bad. Tonight I have a bit of brown spotting. So I guess in a few days I’ll get an answer about what’s been going on this month. It could all have been a write off after the miscarriage explaining no positive LH test, and I’m about to come on a real period. Or maybe a thousand eggs implanted over the last day or so because that’s what it felt like 😂

Now “8dpo” and my charts look like this, so I’m hoping I did OV 🤞🏻

Last couple of cycles, I've ovulated at some point post the 20 cycle day mark, based on OPKs and how dpo my period has come after - usually around 13 days.

This time around, I've had two days of high OPKs from CD9 before hitting peak on CD10 (which was yesterday evening). Very unexpected but we BD on CD8 and CD9, and again on CD10 but my partner didn't quite finish the job as it were. We're going to go again tonight, but really can't get my head around why ovulation has come around so early this time.

Either way, really does highlight why it's so important to test as soon as your period ends. Because we definitely would have missed our window this month if we hadn't.

@CheekyLittleD it must be good that it’s earlier than usual right?

I think OPK testing can get so stressful though. I must have missed my peak test last month and this month just got negative blank circles and just one static smile (never any flashing faces). Hard to know what to do other than try and DTD lots…

I only managed to DTD 3 times over fertile period - once on static smile day. Hoping it’s enough. I am 6 DPO and so desperate to feel something or test… TTC is so stressful

I thought I had a faint line on a cheap strip yesterday, but I’m wondering if it was a fault with the dye or something.
Had one of those horrible white indents on a Boots test as well. Never buying those again.
My temp seems to have dipped today so these cramps might be AF coming which means I have a short luteal phase ☹️

9dpo and I can’t tell if there’s a faint line on this first response or not. I know it’s still early but given my temp drop I feel rubbish.

Think tww is the worst part, seems never ending! Got a couple more days before I’m 10dpo. Got a wedding at the weekend and would like to know if I can drink or not before that!

I keep thinking what more could I have done this cycle. And literally nothing…. Taking all my vitamins, healthy living, acupuncture, and DTD around fertile window. I just got to hope nature has done its thing.

I just feel being older, every month is countdown clock away from it happening. Bad attitude I know…

I think it feels extra slow this month because I’ve been unwell for most of it.

I have more cramps today which are aches but with stabs of sharp pains. A new low 😅

Currently driving myself mad squinting at a test, I should really have waited until tomorrow or better the weekend. Sure there’s a v faint line but can’t capture it on camera.
Could the sharp pain be implantation? When do you think you ovulated @EmPeEf

I’m really not sure. No peak OV. Irregular cycles. EWCM CD11 and CD17. Temp went above cover line CD18. Apps think it was CD15-17. Currently CD27.

CM is really weird today. Stretchy like EWCM, but clumpy cream/yellow in it. Yeuch 😆

I’m having some pinchy type pains in my abdomen. Trying not to read too much into it

TWW is soooooo long. I have literally no symptoms - will try hold off testing until Sunday?

What do we think? Line or not?

Hi everyone can I join in? I’m 42 nearly 43 and not sure if I’m pre menopausal as my periods are becoming a bit irregular but I’m still trying to get pregnant. I did this ov test and wondered if any of you think I’m close to peak? Thanks

I would say that is pretty positive!! I am also 42 and trying for our 2nd - i had a miscarriage that started 2 weeks ago, I have tested negative on a pregnancy test so am going to wait until my next period and then try again :( xx

Are you using the app with those tests, I found it really helpful to track peaks
