I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

Hi all!

Mind if I join you?

I'm 36 and TTC my second (partner's first). I have a DS (8) from previous marriage (conceived first cycle of trying, doing SMEP) and although I had tried for a second with my ex, never caught and found it quite emotionally tough and lonely.

VERY nervous to begin trying with new partner, but also excited. He's younger than me so didn't think he'd feel ready this soon.

I haven't had any fertility testing done but I do think it might be difficult for us. Bracing myself that this could take a long time... But ordered OPKs today. Probably going to try SMEP again although, sticking to every other day may prove tricky... On Day 8 today, and have a childfree weekend so can't see us likely to skip a day tomorrow. 😝

Hi all!
Can I join you all?
I am 36 (almost 37), dh is a year older than me and we are going to see what happens with trying for a third!
Our others are 12 and 9, so quite a big gap!

We are only just starting to stop contraception and our others were both conceived first try but I'm conscious that we are a lot older now!!

My period is due 3rd Feb, so I think I've missed this month?

Nice to meet you all 😄

Yay! Lots of baby dust to you ✨

I’m on 9dpo and trying not to test too early, bbt still increased but it has been before and for some reason I feel like I’m out this month.

Exciting times!!! Lots of baby dust for your next cycle!!!

i caved and tested this morning 🙈😂 according to my Premom app I’m 8dpo but looking at my OPKs I believe I’m actually 10dpo. Test was a bfn 🙄 but I’ve had some pale pink spotting the last 3 days, light cramping. Last night I thought I’d wet myself 😳 and rushed to the loo to find a lot of clear cm 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh and I also cried over MIL basically messaging me to ask for help but without actually asking for help…. Wording it as in it was my benefit 🙄 so got annoyed and cried on DH…. WTH! So yeah, that’s why I tested this morning. But negative.

Well done on holding off testing. I wish I had that willpower 😂

positive vibes. You’re not out til af arrived. When I had my bfp I had zero symptoms!

Officially ditched the contraception now which feels very scary but also exciting!! We both had a bit of an eeekkkk face afterwards

What app does everyone use to track cycles etc?

I have also started prenatal gummies

Good luck to all 😄😄

Sperm meets egg plan is cd8, every other day, then three days in a row from LH peak. Then I think there’s one more for luck - we didn’t do the extra one but maybe that’s where we’ve gone wrong 😂

I gave in and tested, obviously BFN, wasn’t even FMU 🙄 Still squinting at it just in case though - I’m a fool to myself 😂

8dpo here and symptom spotting like mad! I have test strips arriving today, not sure why I ordered them because I told myself I wouldn't test early this month!

I am using natural cycles but I don't recommend, the algorithm is dumb. A simple calendar and temp logging is enough.
My gynecologist didn't recommend lh testing.

carolinep3 · 26/01/2025 17:44

I think an app is useful just to track things and have everything together, I don't believe what it is telling me in terms of fertile days and predicted ovulation etc I make my own judgement. But when I need to remember what cd I or look back to last month and see when I had spotting or something it is good.
I like fertility friend or premom.

Taysonic · 27/01/2025 12:53

So interesting the discussion around apps... I'd previously tracked my periods using Ovia which I liked because it seemed to keep updating my average cycle length etc as mine can sometimes be irregular. But I'm not sure the app is supported in the UK anymore so hasn't been updated in a while.

I downloaded Flo recently to give it a go (just the free version) and will see. Seeing as my cycle doesn't run like clockwork, I'm wary of relying on an app that could guide me in the wrong way (which is why I worry previous second baby attempts were unsuccessful - or at least, I kind of hope that's why and not some underlying fertility issue I don't know about!).

I have bought OPKs for the first time but may hold off using them for a couple of months as I know I'll become a slave to them. Aiming for a relaxed/breezy approach to TTC... at least to start with. I may feel differently in a few weeks' time!

BabyBorn · 27/01/2025 20:06

I use the Clue App. Have for years. I think it's brilliant.

I'm on CD 3 now after starting AF on Saturday 🥴😩 I went out and drank lots of wine with my friends 😜😂😂

Back to good eating and drinking lots of water now 😀

curliegirlie · 27/01/2025 21:13

I've been using Fertility Friend for over 12 years now! It seems to be a lot more responsive to the OPK or temp data you input than PreMom, although the latter can be useful for tracking OPK changes, as it gives you the ratios for the lines...

Do you pay for the extra features of clue?
I downloaded it but then for some reason I decided to pay for natural cycles instead. Like I said above I don't love it. It is just a glorified calendar.
I am on CD 23 but I am already pmsing 😭

Oh, I know how this feels. In my early 30s, I had about two years of trying with absolutely no success and every month felt like a punch to the gut. It's okay to feel all you need to feel, and hopefully you and your partner can work through all the emotions together. Sending lots of love. We're here. And we get it.

Have you tried any supplements or lubricants?

I figured last month I had been using spermicide lubes 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ for 7/8mths

This month started Concieve plus
