I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

@SCK2024oh that's pants. I would have thought it was cheaper than that. I swear the cost at Coventry centre for reproductive medicine costs less than that. Their charges are quite cheap. Could you not get it on NHS?

You can buy 75mg aspirin from boots 😊

Mummysparrow · 10/07/2025 21:40

@SCK2024The only think I can recommend is fertilysis for additional testing to be honest

Surely fertility medication is not 6/7k
who has that pocket change?
it makes me want to buy it elsewhere!
I’ve been Googling online and there does seem to be some sites who do online consultations, but want result papers.
so I pick mine up next Tuesday and I’ll see what’s what then.
if I just keep trying and trying next thing I could be 39, 40, 41 or 42 x

I’ve had some bloods done today with the GP. I’m CD3 and they did FBC, FSH, LH, prolactin, progesterone and thyroid function. My DH will book for more semen analysis as well.

We are not against going down the pathway of IUI sooner rather than later. It would be private for us.

@SCK2024 I don’t think £6-7000 for clomid alone sounds right at all…

Hi, just joining the board, we're on our first cycle of trying, due to ovulate in the next few days.

Hi just come across your thread and seen this. Do you just mean clomid tablets to make you ovulate? The price you’ve been quoted sounds more like full blown ivf.
I had clomid in 2022, 3 months worth cost £15! That was privately but through nhs hospital.

Yes just the tablets!
I was thinking surely that was quoted IVF.

Yes then definitely not that much. It’s only a couple of tablets to take like days 3-6 of your cycle. They did recommend a scan to check al looked ok just before you ovulate so that’s a little more expense but that’s it.x

SCK2024 · 21/07/2025 13:51

DPO2 let’s go!

how is everyone else getting on?

It’s always a he TWW that’s drags but then ovulation comes around quicker! 😂

I think I’m getting closer to O day, much sooner than previous cycles 🤞

SCK2024 · 25/07/2025 11:28

@Mummysparrow How are we getting along? Did you go to your fertility appt regardless of your bfp? Hope everything is going well 🫶🏼

@Mismatc Exciting! I am on DPO6 today, I have been using FertilyBud supplements this month, also had my hycosy, so we will have to wait and see if it has boosted my chances or not this month.
🤞🏼

@SCK2024hi yeah I still went to the appointment as there was no way of cancelling it due to the appointment being at 8:30 in the morning. It was useful and means all my information is there in case anything happens and I need their help in the future. I was diagnosed with PCOS with hyperandrogenism, just on case and endometriosis diagnosis wasn't enough 🤣 I have been put on progesterone as a just in case. It is making the hormones super duper fun 🫩🤣

SCK2024 · 25/07/2025 11:57

You’ll get there and fingers crossed for a reassuring scan next week. I’m 13+4 and it’s only been the last week or so (following 2 scans and clear NIPT) that I’ve let myself believe that this might actually be happening!!

SCK2024 · 27/07/2025 10:39

@curliegirlie sprry you have been through tough times too 🫶🏼
I really cannot wait for my turn ❤️
how are you feeling now?

I am 8DPO early I know but tested using easy@home - looks like a bfn but it’s mega early, going away this week so kind of wanted to know if I could go hard or sit the hell down and rub my tummy 😂

@SCK2024i can definitely see something and those easy@home test aren't the most sensitive test

curliegirlie · 29/07/2025 22:47

Oooh, exciting! Grab a Boots early pregnancy test tomorrow if you can. Fingers crossed that is something 🤞🤞🤞
