I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

@SCK2024it’s not karma. Different actions feel right (or are important) at different times - you need to give yourself a break 🫂 12 months always feels like a shitty milestone but just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it can’t still happen naturally. My TTC stints were 16 months, 12 months, 3 years, and this last one after my last MC was just 3 months. You never know what’s around the corner. It’s great that you’re plugged into the NHS fertility investigations. This time round I also took Pregnacare Conception Max (the ones where you take 2 of the green tablets and an Omega 3 round one), which contains DHA, inositol, and CoQ10, which are meant to be good for us oldies!

do you have a link or photo?

I was foolish and did a frer at dpo6 today 🤦🏻‍♀️
I wasn’t expecting two blazing lines, ppl must think I’m made of money, but I was V inpatient 🫠😂

I know implantation is 6-12 Dpo but I have my easy at home being delivered today! 🤞🏼

@SCK2024so easily done. You get impatient and just hope that there is a inkling of a line 🤣

SCK2024 · 02/07/2025 12:52

@Mummysparrow
im excited for my hyscosy just to be flushed & heighten my chances also hoping there aren’t any problems of my AF doesn’t arrive.

in the middle of us both selling up, suppose that’s a tad stressful too!

Mummysparrow · 02/07/2025 12:55

@SCK2024when is your hycosy?

Oh God, selling houses and buying is super stressful. I don't plan on moving again for ages after my last move

curliegirlie · 02/07/2025 15:46

🤣 it’s nuts isn’t it. Even when you know full well it won’t show anything because 6dpo is the earliest day for implantation, and nothing would be visible for at least 48 hours after that, there’s always a naughty voice going, “well maybe you ovulated earlier than you thought!” etc etc. But that’s what cheapies are for, not FRERs 😉.

Here’s the link to the Pregnacare I was taking. No idea whether it made the difference. I’d also tried the (even pricier) Conceive Plus tablets for a while earlier on in this TTC journey and they did very little…

@Mummysparrow @curliegirlie
I know!!!

Least we should be sorted when we are all moved in it may happen! Hoping before Xmas!
it’s the whole chains 🫠🫠🫠

Hycosy is on the 10th June

AF potentially due according to FloApp 11th!

when I arranged my appt I did it so I had my test when I came off my period!

Will have to wait and see if I need to re arrange or a hopeful cancel as might have some luck in the oven cooking 😄

Fab! Thanks for the link! I may purchase for the next maybe cycle!

I personally think frers are rubbish tinnnnnyyyyy lines to read and not even bright.

my easy at homes have arrived! 🎉

Ill restart in 2 days 😆 I’ll try to wait !!!

DPO7 - bfn - I know it’s early but I’m doing them daily 🙂

symptoms - none other than needing a wee more.

FRERs show earlier than other tests and also get brighter more quickly. But the Boots early pregnancy tests are similar and almost as good.

Mummysparrow · 04/07/2025 19:59

My NHS referral to infertility clinic came through this week and wasn't until march 2026 😳 so I am gonna go the self funded route via NHS and pay £240 for the consultation appointment and I got a new appointment through today for next Thursday 🙌 much better than march 😁
I will be 9dpo so I may ask for a cheeky blood test to see if I am pregnant 🤣🤣

SCK2024 · 04/07/2025 20:30

Yes be cheeky! @Mummysparrow
whaere are you in the uk?

dpo8 bfn

  • easy at home.

Mummysparrow · 04/07/2025 20:38

I am in Banbury and my hospital appointment is on Coventry.
3dpo for me and trying to be chill 🤣
8dpo is Still early to get a positive. Are you using cheapies?

Mismatc · 05/07/2025 05:59

I’m 10dpo and bfn, I don’t feel pregnant so I think I’m out. I’ve been so tired this tww and borderline sicky (but I get nauseous when tired) so I had a small amount of hope but I think it’s just the 5-6 hours of interrupted sleep per night from my 16 month old causing exhaustion

Yes cheapies - easy at home tests.

yet to test this morning 9dpo, still in bed.

im surprised nhs isn’t the same there as it is here? But exciting nether the less that it’s all being sorted!

I think if my AF arrived I’ll have to cancel my hycosy a 2nd time 🫠 I only bleed max 3days so, not sure if they they will still let me do it if it’s bare minimal or not?

@Mismatc ehen is AF due? X

OP posts:
ByJollyZebra · 05/07/2025 11:58

Keeping my fingers crossed that we see some positives this month 🤞♥️

We're going to struggle to conceive naturally with the results as they are 😞 just waiting for more tests to see if we can improve things.
Feeling quite crappy but trying to cling on to the fact that the doctor just said very low chance, not impossible x

Mismatc · 06/07/2025 12:27

@SCK2024 11DPO today and bfn, AF due tomorrow or the next day. How are you doing?

Mummysparrow · 06/07/2025 20:49

5dpo and had some thick white discharge. Not sure if that means anything or not.

SCK2024 · 06/07/2025 20:53

DPO10
was out for a friends birthday last night had a few drinks and seeing a lot in the night so urine quite diluted.

Will test again tomorrow.

according to Flo AF due anywhere between weds and Friday.

hycosy due Weds morning.

does anyone know if they will do it if due period (if was still bfn) is due but not started?

otherwise I’m still going to go ahead, regardless I can’t miss a second one.

Also is there a loop hole where I can pay and be prescribed clomid?

nothing wrong with my tests so far though but it’s been 14/16mths 😞

OP posts:
pepperminticecream · 07/07/2025 00:47

I’m not sure if they’ll let you move forward if you’re on your period. I’m having one in a week they gave me oral progesterone to take on the date my last period started until the procedure to keep my lining thin. I’m surprised they didn’t do that for you too? They don’t want any chance of pregnancy either of course.

curliegirlie · 07/07/2025 09:34

Yes, pretty sure I was given something to delay ovulation when I was booked in for an HSG, presumably to avoid this very situation. I never had mine in the end though, as I think I was also told to avoid sex in the cycle I was to have it and we were going away on a mini break. And then it ended up being the cycle I fell pregnant!

SCK2024 · 07/07/2025 12:35

It is to check the tubes only though isn’t it?
would my lining matter? I haven’t a clue? 🤷🏻‍♀️😅
DPO 11 bfn x

OP posts:
curliegirlie · 07/07/2025 14:17

I think it’s mostly about trying to avoid pregnancy in that cycle tbh.

SCK2024 · 07/07/2025 15:07

I very much doubt I would be pregnant if I haven’t had a bfp by tomorrow AF due weds and I’m on the day every cycle usually x

I think I'm 8 or 9dpo today, tested this afternoon and I'm sure I can see the faintest of lines 🤔 I asked Chatgpt and it said there is a faint second line so will test again tomorrow morning in the hope I'm not just seeing things!
Been really bloated and have been having lots of twinges and mild cramps over the past couple of days so hoping this is it xx
