I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

Oh oops, I’m thinking of a different test (I’ve had them all by now!) When my tubes were checked I was told not to try for that month and it had to be scheduled within a certain amount of days of my period and I still had to show a negative HCG test the day of. I then had to take an antibiotic the day before or day of the procedure.

curliegirlie · 08/07/2025 11:51

Yeah, the antibiotic rings a bell. I thought I was given some Provera too, but it was over a decade ago, so I can’t honestly remember. But it sounds like they’ve been a bit shit at explaining the requirements and procedure to poor @SCK2024. Hopefully the negative HCG test will mean the test can still happen (if she manages to avoid AF starting that day) 🤞

SCK2024 · 08/07/2025 14:27

Still no AF , due today.
Dpo 12. BFN
i had diarrhoea last night and cramping, weeing loads today & feeling tired.
loss of appetite too.
only time will tell!

Hope I don’t have to reschedule on third is AF arrives 😩

@SCK2024do you normally feel sick with your period?
I had a small amount of blood on wiping earlier. Currently 7dpo so I am really hoping it is implantation bleeding

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 10/07/2025 07:08

@Mummysparrow I can definitely see something on that! 🤞🏻

SCK2024 · 10/07/2025 09:02

@Mummysparrow I can see it again! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I’d still attend your fertility appt!

im at the hospital now for my Hycosy! 🤞🏼🫶🏼

curliegirlie · 10/07/2025 09:37

Good luck @SCK2024! I’m glad you’ve managed to still get it done, despite them screwing up the comms about what you needed to do! 🤞🤞

curliegirlie · 10/07/2025 09:40

@MummysparrowI see that squinter! My first pregnancy was the month following my first fertility appt, and my second was the month I’d had a “day 21” test - so they day I had the results through I actually knew full well I’d ovulated 🤣

SCK2024 · 10/07/2025 09:55

Wow!
I am so lucky I had forwards thinking on taking pain relief 1hr prior my appt!!!
It did not hurt but it was uncomfortable!
cramping!
all gone now though just during and half hour after the examination.

results- all fine no issues at all.

So all my results bloods/ultrasound and hycosy is all hunky dory!

Just have to get another semen sample done next week.

if fine, there is no reason we can’t conceive again? So why ?!!

Clomid she said is an estimate £6-7000 🤯😩😓

Is that right????!

@SCK2024 I am glad it went well.
It hard isn't it. The consultant told me today at the age of 36 60% off eggs are faulty by 38 this is 70% 😬
I was told I am at an increased risk of miscarriage which is why progesterone was prescribed to help my chance of keeping the baby.
The things I did different this month is that I took baby asprin and we had sex the 2 days before ovulation and the day after. Not sure if that helped or not

SCK2024 · 10/07/2025 15:15

Thankyou 🫶🏼
Glad your appt went well is all confirmed now 🥹❤️🤞🏼

My consultant said the next step of all is well I could try the tablets but avoid letrozole or leave as last option at least, not sure why? Wish I’d asked now.

I-might go private online as seems cheaper I haven’t got a spare 6/7k 🫠 as well as selling up and moving in together.

i feel I am on a tight ship at 38 😓

Hopefully the hycosy has helped and taking supplements this mth too. 🤞🏼

where can I get baby aspirin? How does that help?

any fertility sites recommended? Anyone? Xx

I thought I’d say hello on this thread. as I’m 39. Husband and I are going to try for our third baby. I think this cycle we were likely too late so will have to wait to next. Best of luck to everyone!
