As the title suggests, if you’re over 35 and TTC your first, I’d love to hear from you! Would be nice to hear from a few of us in the same boat 🙂

Hey, I'll join you! We were ttc for 2 years, had a 9 month break and now just waiting for ovulation this week on my first cycle back.

I'm 37 and had no sniff of a real bfp. I've had plenty of evaps though 🙄

Hello, I've just turned 36. I've had two early losses and a late loss at 19 weeks in September when we sadly lost our little boy.

So, not technically baby #1 for us, but still trying for the first baby we will bring home :(.

@KittyFantastica welcome and sorry to hear of your losses. This can be such a tough journey for some people.

Im 38 and TTC since September, no positives. Very early days obviously but with my age and every passing month I’m beginning to feel a bit impatient.

I've just turned 35 in November. I've been off contraceptives for 4 years, first 2 years we were pretty chilled, but no bfp. Last 2 years using OPKS with a couple of months off here and there, no bfp yet😔
Had all my bloods, internal scans etc and all looks OK. Partners sperm is fine. I had a hycosy last month but after my ovulation day, so this is my first cycle following that.
Currently 9 or 10dpo but didn't actually track this cycle, just dtd every other day and went off my EWCM signs. Usually ovulate around day 12 -14.

@thejadestoneandthedragon @Clara202 When do you usually test? In all three of my pregnancies (loss at 6 weeks, loss at 9 weeks and premature labour and loss at 19 weeks) I've always felt weird about 2-3 days before AF is due, so end up testing due to the weird feelings. Last month, we weren't tracking at all, but still trying, and I didn't have a single weird feeling. I just knew it would be a negative test.

I'm (I think) 2DPO today. FF has incorrectly plotted my O day on CD11 instead of CD12/13, so that's going to bug me for the rest of the cycle.

@BabyS2025 welcome! Getting the vitamins in now is a good idea.
@thejadestoneandthedragon I bet you get your bfp very soon. I have heard so many success stories shortly after hycosy.
@KittyFantastica Im day 9 and will test tomorrow on day 10 if no AF but I will be very shocked if I make it that far. I have all the familiar rumblings and minor cramps, fully expecting it to arrive at some point today.

I did my bloods before Christmas, I am waiting a call back from the doctor to go through my results.

@KittyFantastica I'm so sorry for your losses😔 hopefully 2025 will be your year!
I will likely test tomorrow when I should be 10/11dpo because I have NYE plans😅 not that I'm planning to go crazy with the alcohol but you know what I mean!
I don't usually test until 12dpo + normally though!

@overthinkersanonnymus I’ve never had any sort of line, indent or otherwise! How do you know it’s an indent and not the real thing? The amount of time it takes to appear?

@overthinkersanonnymus, I can definitely see something there! Hopefully it's the real deal 🤞🏽 are these tests notorious for evaps then? I usually use Wondfo cheapies, although I have had indents on them in the past!

@Clara202 it appeared straight away, but when it's completely dry, there is nothing there. It's completely white.

I think it may be a dodgy batch because I retested (about 28 times) 😂 and only one more of them got the indent. The rest were all totally white even when wet.

I think all tests are notoriously bad for it. That's why you need to always re test with your normal brand, and then with another brand.

I've been stung before with lots of indents in a row and then went to confirm with a digital, to give to my partner, and it was negative.

It wasn't a chemical or anything like that. It was a genuine negative.

I’m technically now in the tww. Not sure if I ovulated today or yday. I’ll pop a picture on if anyone can advise? DH and I are TTC through at home insemination, which we did last night so if I ovulated today, then we are in with a shot. I am 36 (37 on NYD) so my clock is ticking. Best of luck to you all x

Hiya, ovulation happens 12-48 hours after the peak LH is reached, so could be tomorrow or the day after :)

Oops, sorry @BabyTin2025, I hit send too quickly.

I got my peak 28th and it was over in a day much like yours, so I expect I ovulated 29th, or at the latest today. My EWCM has dried up already, so I'd guess it's already happened.

You could try inseminating tomorrow if possible too for maximum chances!

Hi, this is me! Not ovulated yet this month but hoping it will be tomorrow/day after. It's been a long time for us, one 12 week miscarriage. All tests normal. Really struggling with all the announcements etc online and in real life.

@KittyFantastica Ah thank you for the advice! Glow app still isn’t showing peak but might have tested too late. I get absolutely god awful pains when I’m ovulating so I know round about when it all kicks off!

@HollyGolightly4 i can completely relate. MMC 6 years ago, nothing since. Traumatic as had to have surgery. All friends etc now have families and it hurts a lot.

@HollyGolightly4 there does seem to be a lot of announcements of late. I’m possibly just more in tune to it as it’s occupying my own mind.

BFN for me this morning 😔 I said after my Hycosy that I wasn't going to pin all my hopes on it, after hearing such success stories.. but I can't help feel sad! That was my 1 and only test I have left so I think I'm just going to wait it out now.. my AF is due next mon/Tues so a little while to go yet!
