@Mummysparrow that’s good news - although a pain you’ve had to pay for it yourself. Do you know what the appointment will entail?
I had tests done where I was told I had pcos. I also had a high marker for APS on first blood test, but second test result was normal. So I wasn’t treated for APS in the last pregnancy. But if I get pregnant again then I’ll be on aspirin & blood thinning injections in case the second result was faulty or something. But because of the pcos it takes a while to get pregnant so now a waiting game.

@Matthew54 sorry that you are also sick of it. I am surrounded by pregnant women at the moment but they have all been very kind & understanding of me

I was about to ask if you’d had the results back from your appointment after your last loss. Hopefully you’re not waiting around too long to concieve again

Ahh yes, it was a genetically normal girl. Upsetting that I’ve no clear answers

Hey all 👋🏼

We are TTC after a 34 week loss in February due to placenta abruption. Currently on cycle 2 and 8dpo. No real symptoms although more lethargic and I've had horrible restless legs the past few days. Lost of mixed emotions about TTC again but have support along the way 🥰

Hope it's ok but I've actually created a WhatsApp group for TTC after loss of anyone is interested ♥️

Hi Natalie, I would be interested in a link to the group please.

How is everyone doing?

@NatalieSFthat sounds like an awful experience. How are you finding TTC again? I had a TFMR last year at 22 weeks and find it’s such a rough journey. I hope you received some helpful support.

I’m cycle day 12 but I tend to ovulate late and have longer cycles. I was ovulating around day 21 in my last cycles. This is my first cycle since a missed miscarriage last month so I’m just playing it by ear. Haven’t done any ovulation test strips yet. Annoyingly I think my OH will be away when I’m due to ovulate 🙈 I’m 40 now so feel like every cycle needs to count.

I’ve recently started on Ubiqinol CoQ10 along with my Pregnecare conception vitamins. I’m not sure how helpful it will be but I need to feel like I’m doing something

Bellabubble · 26/07/2025 21:00

@Fullofconfusion For me, the 2 times I used coQ10 consistently, and took 75mg of aspirin from the tww onwards, were the only 2 pregnancies that stuck. I don’t comment on this thread so much now as I’m currently 22wks and am conscious that it can be so frustrating and insensitive for some still on the ttc journey (I found that at times with my previous losses, even though I knew people commenting had also had losses and months of anxiety etc) but I just wanted to share what had happened for me. I’m 41 - so felt like I needed help in the egg quality department - especially as I started my cycles back at 10yrs old x

Fullofconfusion · 27/07/2025 18:28

@Bellabubblethank you, that’s really good to know and congratulations! I hope the rest of your pregnancy journey goes well. I personally like to hear of others success stories as it gives me hope that it may be me soon

Hi all,

originally posted this as a separate question and then saw this thread so reposting here.
Trying to understand what’s going on with my cycle post our first miscarriage.

We had a MMC at 9 weeks at the end of June. I was bleeding for 4 weeks which finally ended last week. During that time I was testing hcg and it also now looks clear on a test strip. As it got fainter I reintroduced ovulation strips (I know these can be impacted by residual hcg) and saw the test line drop below the control line. For the last 5 days or so I started using the clear blue digital ovulation sticks also and was getting the empty circle. Yesterday morning I tested and got a static smiley! (This is normal for me to jump from empty to static) and my LH strips were showing a peak of 1.37. Today, I tested with the strips again and have a new high peak of 1.44.
I think it is unusual for me and am wondering if anyone else experienced an elongated surge/peak post miscarriage? I presume it’s just hormones out of whack and my body attempting to ovulate.

Catmum92 · 28/07/2025 13:10

Attaching pic of the strip tests to show it better!

TTC after loss part 6
curliegirlie · 28/07/2025 19:59

It can vary so much. When TTC #1 my peaks used to last a couple of days, but ever since I’ve been up and down again in a matter of hours. I would take that first positive as peak. Good luck and so sorry for your loss x

Catmum92 · 29/07/2025 07:59

@curliegirlie thank you x.

I always used to be peak and then back down to low but this is the first suggestion of anything happening after the MC so I suppose it can look quite different and good to know it can vary!
this morning was still a positive but not as dark as yesterday. Will keep testing over the next few days but hopefully yesterdays was a successful peak! x

Fullofconfusion · 29/07/2025 23:05

@Catmum92 I’ve always had a couple of days where I test high and then back to lower again.

Well I’m slightly surprised as I usually have ovulated late, around CD21-24 so I’ve not been testing. But today I’ve had EWCM and feel crampy so thought I’d test this evening and I’ve had a high reading!! Only CD17 so not expecting it but if I’m going to ovulate now that works out well for me as my partner is away all next week and I thought this month was a right off.

Not sure if my body has had a reset after a miscarriage last month or if it’s the new conception supplements but I’m not complaining

Catmum92 · 30/07/2025 08:17

@Fullofconfusion thanks for sharing. Mine were high Sunday, peak Monday and high Tuesday (but lower than Sunday) and now this morning is back to low. Hoping this means I may have ovulated within that time but will keep checking this next few days to see!

thats great news you’re getting high readings - fingers crossed for you!
my partner and I had also said the same that we weren’t going to actively try this month but after we saw the positive ovulation test figured we may as well throw our hat in the ring! Ha

Ncl31 · 03/08/2025 08:36

@Catmum92 my first cycle post miscarriage something very similar happened to me. I’m usually low, high, peak within about 18 hours. Then drop straight back down, but I didn’t that time. I was high for a few days, got what I thought was peak, tested the next day to check for low and it was even higher…

i hope it’s just hormones settling

Catmum92 · 03/08/2025 12:18

@Ncl31 sorry for your loss. If this was in a previous cycle, did you find your luteal phase was longer/shorter as a result?
if this is current cycle, fingers crossed for you for a swift return to normal x

Ncl31 · 03/08/2025 14:52

It was a previous cycle, my luteal phase was my normal 14 days.
I’ve had 2 cycles since; this is my third. hopefully just one more cycle when we can’t TTC and then we can get back to it
