@Ladyinpink1 thank you. Sadly for us we have to use home artificial insemination so our cut off really is a hard cut off and there will be practically zero chance of a pregnancy after we stop, but it feels so much better to know I'll be able to live my life again, whichever direction it takes, and not be stuck in limbo forever x

Bellabubble · 26/10/2024 14:32

@Figtree11 I feel ok - I think my body knew nothing had progressed and although nothing happened naturally, it was definitely making me feel more and more unwell physically (I guess my body started to see it as a foreign body perhaps?) and the recovery was very quick. Some mild cramps this week, but I have also had a cold so I think it was probably a bit of that too! Still in the feeling hopeful stage but I don’t know how long that will last - if I get a bfp again I know I will be worrying about another loss. Because I haven’t had 3 in a row they won’t investigate anything, so even if we have a 4th loss they won’t look into it yet despite my age. Trying not to worry lol!

I hope you are feeling better today? It’s a tough time ttc and I feel like all I do is notice pregnant people when I’m waiting for my own bfp to come round!

Superscientist · 26/10/2024 20:16

The arbitrary nature of the rules feels harsh sometimes @Bellabubble I hope you recover quickly and get your bfp.

I'm here to share a little none TTC win. Before I had my daughter I was in a really good place fitness wise and ran 2-3 times a week. As soon as conceived it stopped. I did 2 or 3 runs in pregnancy 1 or 2 after she was born. Then we moved somewhere hilly and didn't manage more than 10 minutes once or twice. After my miscarriage in August I decided to try to get back into running for my mind and body and I have been on 4 runs since and today i did my first 5k in nearly 5 years! I'm hoping for it to become more of a habit. It feels good to see my body as strong and capable and not like it's letting me down. It helped with the nervous wait for my period, it's due tomorrow.

Mummysparrow · 26/10/2024 20:33

Had a private scan today as I decided that I could be bothered to wait for NHS to get themselves into gear. I was referred to check for fibroids but also I wanted to check for Polycystic ovaries as I have slightly raised AMH. The scan showed 10 follicles in one ovary and 26 in the other 😱 at first she thought I had a fibroid but by the end she wasn't sure and asked me whether I had a d&c when I had the termination. Because I hadn't she thinks I have a defect from the c section and recommend I spoke to my GP about an MRI to see if I Adenomyosis. I also have a titled uterus. The Adenomyosis could make implantation difficult however if I got that from my first pregnancy It didn't cause me an issue conceiving before.
The sonographer said the ovary with loads of follicles was borderline PCOS. Having a read into it that many follicles could cause a hormone inbalance. I already I know if have slightly high AMH levels which would be caused by that ovary but everything else has seemed ok before.
Highly recommend paying for a private scan. Although I would have got a NHS eventually I am not sure they would have gone into this detail and how long I would be waiting for to get the scan.

Figtree11 · 26/10/2024 22:26

@Bellabubble I’m glad you are feeling ok. Definitely hold onto that hope - it’s what gets us through. We are all so unlucky that we have to walk this path, but hopefully one day it will all work out for us all.
Its so frustrating though that they won’t investigate anything. I feel very fortunate that I got referred to Tommys miscarriage clinic after having 2 losses and haven’t had to wait for a third to happen. It’s not fair that it’s dependent on where you live.
I am feeling a bit better thank you - still a bit low, but this period has actually been more normal for me than my last period, which makes me a bit reassured that maybe by body is starting to get back to normal.

@Superscientist that’s great! I really need to start being more active, I feel much better for getting outside in the fresh air. It’s really beneficial for the mind too. Well done on the 5k 🌟

@Mummysparrow that’s really thorough information you got from the private test - what sort of place did you go through for that? How are you feeling about the results? I hope a plan of action will be in place for you soon

Thank you, and I'm sorry about your week @Figtree11 I hope it gets better x

We have been through quite a few different threads together over this past year or more @moosey89 and I know you have had a particularly tough time of things so really, I am genuinely hoping for you, you deserve it x

I'm really sorry for your losses @Bellabubble that all seems really unfair to not get any help. x

Mummysparrow · 26/10/2024 22:34

@Figtree11 it was ultrasound direct. It was a baseline scan for pelvic floor and £145. Yes eventually I would have had this scan via NHS but I was fed up if waiting and £145 for all that information when I only booked yesterday is really good. I have an appointment with hertility fertility specialist on Friday. I should have my blood test results this week as well so hopefully I can go through it all on Friday and see what they say.
Hoping one of these 36 follicles matures soon and I will get pregnant before Georges due date. I can only only hope.
How are you @Figtree11 ?

Ladyinpink1 · 26/10/2024 22:38

@Mummysparrow wow, sounds like you got soneone who really knows what they are talking about, that's brilliant information to have. Did they suggest any other next steps for after the MRI? x

@Superscientist well done, sounds like you have gotten back into it well. I think all the time about how I need to get back to getting brisk walks regularly as I also think it can really help with everything but everytime I try to start, something comes up and I don't keep it up... I will live my exercising life through your posts for now 🙂 x

Mummysparrow · 26/10/2024 22:42

@Ladyinpink1 not much to be honest. She suggested the MRI for official diagnosis of Adenomyosis but someone I know said this can be done via 3d scan which they had access to but I suppose in their mind I didn't pay enough for that scanning.
I have a call with hertility on Friday so hopefully they can give more direction

moosey89 · 27/10/2024 07:28

@Ladyinpink1 thank you so much that's very kind. I hope life is good to you too, we all deserve happiness on this thread xx

Ladyinpink1 · 27/10/2024 08:27

@Mummysparrow I Googled fertility as I hadn't heard of it. It sounds good, hope to hear how you get on x

ThelastRolo20 · 27/10/2024 08:32

@Superscientist well done on your 5km!! That's great, I also ran regularly when I had my daughter, and I actually picked it up again/ was doing park runs before becoming pregnant this time. Despite two mmcs I actually kept running through my first trimester. No idea if it helped or not but mentally it was such an uplift xx

Ncl31 · 27/10/2024 10:23

@Figtree11 how are you doing? I hope you’ve managed to enjoy your weekend. My OPK was getting darker this morning so hopefully ovulation is on its way. CD12 for me today. So I’d like to see my peak tomorrow and then ovulate on CD14.
DTD this morning too, didn’t mention anything to DH so he didn’t get stage freight.

Figtree11 · 27/10/2024 13:20

Thanks @Ladyinpink1 I know I’ll come out the other side of the low mood soon once AF is out the way

@Mummysparrow that seems like a really good price for all that information you now have. Do you have any appointments coming up with the nhs where you can discuss it? I hope hertility gives you some good information too.
I’m doing ok thank you, coming towards the end of AF now. Feel a bit down about the thought that ovulation might not be for another 4 weeks again though

@Ncl31 I am doing ok thank you. Still worried about why I am still having long cycles. But my recurrent miscarriage appt is in less than 4 weeks so at least I can discuss it with them then.
That’s great that ovulation is on its way- really hoping for a positive month for you

Superscientist · 27/10/2024 14:00

@Mummysparrow that's a lot of information you have from the scan. I hope the GP is able to follow up quickly! I'd recommend getting a GP appointment to discuss the findings. We saw a private paediatrician with my daughter once and the receptionist said we didn't need an appointment and that I could just leave a message - it took 6 weeks to get everything prescribed and recommendation sorted and endless phone calls. If I do it again I'll absolutely get an appointment to go through it and not trust the right message to be passed on!

Thanks @Figtree11 , @Ladyinpink1 , @the @ThelastRolo20

Since my daughter had started school I've been doing a 15-20 minute walk 2-4 times a day to take her to school and back. Previously it was a 10 minute drive so my step count has gone up a bit too. I've started jogging down the hill when I pick her up in the evenings too as it means I can do it in more like 10-15 minutes just trying to eek out a bit more time in the day. The more active I am in the day but easier I find it to find exercise in.

@Ladyinpink1 I have the map my run app and seeing how far and when I last did a run has helped a bit with the motivation. I was stuck on 3km as I couldn't figure out how to slot the hills into the run without knackering myself and having to walk home. Maybe set yourself the goal of going a number of times in November or before Christmas? For me it takes time for me to build the confidence to do something regularly and then the time between reduces.
Between run 1 and 2 there was 4 weeks, the 2 weeks then 1 week.

My cd 28 today my cycle is usually 27 +/-3 days. Current no period. I'm torn between testing. Pro I would know. Con I want to sit with a bit of hope. Maybe tomorrow!

Ncl31 · 27/10/2024 14:51

@Figtree11 That is good that your appointment is soon. Hopefully they can give you more answers. I’m hoping this really is ovulation as we’re both away next weekend so there would be no chance of catching it then which is when it was predicted.

@Superscientist i think if you can hold out as long as you can that hope is still there. For me, I’ve always found when I test early I feel deflated for more of the month than not. I’m going to try and hold out until AF is late this month. Let us know how you get on.

Ladyinpink1 · 27/10/2024 16:07

Same @Ncl31 I have restarted opks, had a positive opk yesterday but didn't mention to dh either as sometimes then it becomes a stress and doesn't work out, hoping to get one more dtd tomorrow just to cover all bases. Hoping you get a nice dark opk tomorrow and the chance to dtd again x

@Superscientist they are good tips, thank you. I will check the app out.
I always said I would walk the school run on days I'm not working but can never get out of the house on time. Maybe I will drive to school in the morning then walk in the afternoon to pick up.
oooh it's hard to know what to do about testing, do you feel any symptoms out of the ordinary or anything? If you have the will power, maybe wait? I'm giving this advice but I have terrible willpower and always end up testing and then super sad after. x

My OPK was super light just now. But I have had some champagne so been going to the bathroom every 45 minutes or so.
I’ve had EWCM so I’m not going to bother testing anymore today, if I test in the morning and it’s light then today will be peak I guess.
hopefully get to dtd again tomorrow to cover bases and have the best chance.
fingers crossed for you too.

Ladyinpink1 · 27/10/2024 17:54

Champagne sounds lovely, we had some champagne this weekend too... hoping that it makes us both relaxed and so a good chance this month 🙂

Thanks for invite to new thread.
Quick question AF isn’t due for 9 days and I have brown discharge/spotting and cramps belly like AF is on the way. Anyone had this?

Beanie14 · 27/10/2024 19:30

Also I’ve been trying to catch up but there’s so much! Sorry girls

I’ve not personally had it but I’ve read a few people do get it with implantation. Some get pink discharge , some get brown, some get none.
Hopefully it’s a positive sign for you.

also, no need to apologise for not being able to keep up. Sometimes life keeps us busy and I think that’s a good thing sometimes so we don’t obsess constantly over TTC.

Let us know how you get on, fingers crossed for a BFP for you.

Superscientist · 28/10/2024 08:12

@Ladyinpink1 I had to start walking otherwise I would never have done, with parking there's probably not a lot in it time wise. The upside off being late means it's often a brisk walk rather than a leisurely stroll! My car has been off the road for the last 3 weeks so that had meant more walking to. I'm telling myself I'll keep it up when it's fixed but I'm not sure if this is likely!

Well I waited until this morning and got my positive test! Eek!

@Beanie14 when I was trying for my daughter I had a cycle where AF turned up a week early and was light and brown. I thought it might have been implantation or something but all the tests were negative. The next cycle was normal and the cycle after that I conceived

Ladyinpink1 · 28/10/2024 08:21

Oh my goodness, congratulations! well I am definitely going to give the exercise a go now! 😄 I'm sure you can't believe it right now... Did you have any signs this month before your bfp? x

Sorry forgot to tag you @Superscientist

Thanks. Not really. Late period and aside from a day when I was windy and had a gurgly stomach I had no cramps or twinges. When I conceived in June I had the same my stomach was peaceful on the day and days after my period was due

I would have held off a bit longer but there's a lurghie in the house and I wanted to know which meds I could take for my snotty nose and sore throat!

I think the running has helped me relax a bit and escape from the relentless of life. Maybe that helped.
