Hi ladies!
CD 1 for me today, so I’m moving over from the July thread and starting this one (don’t think there is already one).
Anyone else now ttc for a BFP in August??

Hey! So I’ve been back lurking on MN this week, had it in my head I’d start trying for a 2nd baby from Aug onwards but I’m thinking of seeing what happens in July now. I’m due to ovulate next week so maybe a BFP in Aug? 😬 I’m being very very optimistic there! But thinking might as well just start now it could take forever who knows!

Nic2908 · 17/07/2024 20:58

CD1 for me today too!

Welcome! My biggest regret is not trying sooner, so I think you’re doing the right thing! How old is your first DC? I’m TTC number 1 still!

Cycle twins!! Sorry it didn’t happen for you last cycle, but let’s focus on this cycle now! Do you have any children already?

Hi and welcome! DH takes Proxeed, which is often recommended (it’s available on Amazon and is a sachet that you dissolve in water each day).

Well I thought this, the chances of me actually getting pregnant this month are so slim I might as welll just start. I really want to try be a bit more relaxed this time round but I know as soon as the month passes I’ll be back to taking my BBT and peeing on OPK! 😂
my little one is 2 and half.
how long have you been trying?

ellecf21 · 17/07/2024 22:06

Joining, AF was so cruel. Had a really light bleed last night that matched implantation bleeding perfectly and was only when wiped. Woke up this morning and full blown AF. Only 1st cycle but it's so triggering from struggling last time. Just bought the clear blue ovulation kit as that helped me last time so fingers crossed!

Every month I tell myself I’m going to just relax, not track, not obsessively test etc and I never stick to it 🤣
We’ve been trying for three years, although we’re very chilled for the first year. We have also tried ivf but it hasn’t worked. There is no reason why we can’t get pregnant though, so we have been encouraged to still keep trying naturally too!

Thank you, will order some!! Feeling so impatient for the next fertile window!

I’m so sorry, I had that happen a few months back. Went to bed convinced I had implantation bleeding and so excited to test. Then in the morning it was full blown AF. Why do our bodies trick us so much? It’s cruel.

Which brand do you use? I bought some clear blue the digital one with the smiley face but I see lots of the throw away strips ones on here I wonder if I should get those

butterfly1511 · 17/07/2024 23:15

Joining from the July group aswell, I'm on CD7 so got a while yet before I ovulate (around cd20)

ellecf21 · 18/07/2024 07:22

I've gone for the clearblue advanced test. Used that for DD1 and it really helped me know when I'd be ovulating. Last month I just went off how I felt as I do feel rubbish during ovulation. Why do we never get a break?? AF is horrendous this month too and never usually is. I wasn't well at all in my TWW last cycle either so a part of me wonders if something fertilised and just didn't stick. Would love it if we had a security camera in there!

Frenchtoastie · 18/07/2024 07:46

Aw thank you! So as soon as you see the smiley face you DTD?
sending baby dust and all the luck!
we won’t be able to try until the end of August as my DH is away on holiday over my next fertile window in a few weeks :(
time goes so slowly waiting!

I actually use both! So, I use the clear blue digital 4 day flashing smiley, but I also really love the cheaply sticks from femometer. They are really cheap on amazon and have given me much clearer results than when I’ve used other brands like one step.

ive always had the cheap ones of Amazon and they seem to work for me 🥰

I’ve just checked and I’m on CD6 looking like ovulating around CD 14/15 is anyone else similar?

Blue2020 · 18/07/2024 23:18

I’m cd5 but I ovulate around cd17-19. So I still have a while to go yet.

Hi!
Would love to join. Coming over from June & July. We started TTC in June but no luck, last month I got chicken pox during O week 😂😂 so that threw us out. Here we go starting month #2 technically. I’m CD 9 and ov is usually day 14/15. We will be on holiday next week so I’m really excited for some down time and quality time with each other which I’m hoping increases our chances too :) good luck to everyone x

Do you know an estimate cd when you ovulate?

Before I tracked my cycle I just assumed I ovulated on cd14 like it says many do. Now I know roughly how long it is it feels like ages each time.

I currently have a sore throat/swollen lymph nodes or tonsils. Knowing my luck this will delay it (it did once before by 6 days).

Cakeisafoodgroup · 20/07/2024 08:12

Hello, can I join please?

No AF yet but cd28 of a usual 28 day cycle and BFN. My lower back and boobs are killing me so no doubt it is on the way.

This will be Cycle 9 I think, and more disheartening each month.
