Hi ladies!
CD 1 for me today, so I’m moving over from the July thread and starting this one (don’t think there is already one).
Anyone else now ttc for a BFP in August??

Hi @1441x I would say that’s probably just the dye running through the test. Maybe wait a couple of days (easier said than done) and try another test?

Yeap your right, I went out and bought more and still negative! Desperately want AF to show up now so I can move on to a new cycle

So, at CD 13 I think I know I’m already out this month 😢
CD 10 I had an empty circle on my CB digital but we DTD anyway. Then the next day, CD 11, I went straight to a static smiley! DH can’t DTD 2 days in a row any more (he’s 49) so we tried yesterday, which was CD 12 and the day I was probably ovulating. Sorry if this is TMI but we were trying on and off all day, DH was hard but couldn’t ‘finish’. Eventually I gave up and DH was lying next to me, trying to build himself up (I’d long since given up as this kept happening). But he built himself up a little too much and came just as he was entering me.
I’m so disappointed. Feels like such a waste of a month and with my age time is not on my side.
And I know it’s not his fault but I’m so irrationally annoyed with DH!!!

Sperm can stay inside you for up to 5 days and a healthy sperm can live from a couple of hours to as long as five days after intercourse. You are not out. You did it in your fertile window even you got an empty circle on CD10. You did it again on CD12 (the O day) which still had a good chance to get pregnant.
However sperm on CD10 were more likely to reach the egg than the sperm on CD12. Fingers crossed for you.

I usually wait for missed period as I don’t want to drive myself crazy wondering if I can see lines or not!! I might test at 12 DPO this month cx

@1441x honestly, why do our cycles mess us around when we are TTC?? I know that feeling of just wanting AF to hurry and start so that I can concentrate on the next cycle!

Thank you @LucyCL for reminding me that I’m not completely out. Logically I know this, but I’m just annoyed. Never gone from empty circle to flashing smiley before. Usually I have days and days of the annoying flashy smiley!!

Ladies I’m so confused. CD14. 5am negative LH, 5pm strong LH which for me I would class as my peak, but then at 7pm negative LH. I’m utterly confused as usually my ovulation tests are positive for around 48hours. Any thoughts?

How long are your cycles usually? You can have more than one LH surge, sometimes it means you will ovulate slightly later than normal. I wouldn’t count yourself out yet, and would maybe carry on testing.

Despite last month saying I didn't want to start tracking and going stir crazy I am waiting on delivery of ovulation tests and a ttc diary
I'm starting to think I haven't ovulated since end of May so need to do some tracking to see what's going on!
How long did it take you to get regular cycles back once stopping contraception? I was taking the pill for 15 months before stopping in April

I’m 4dpo and this is the first time I’ve tried to conceive. I’m about to turn 40 (tomorrow!). I’ve just learned from these threads that this is the two week wait and it’s already driving me slightly mad! I've had sore boobs since ovulation but nothing else yet that I could say is definitely different to normal. I’m sure my boobs don’t normally feel this sore for this long 🤔

I’m trying to wait to take a test until Monday which will be 9dpo (I might cave and do it on Sunday).

My LH remained low right until the peak day. I knew I was in my fertile window and dtd every day because CBFM showed "High" from CD 11. I didn't know when I would get my peak so the only day when I didn't dtd was the day before peak. In the past, my LH started to increase over time and eventually reached peak. This cycle it was a sudden surge. That was a bit unexpected. But today is 1 dpo and hopefully I have done enough.

Cycle day 12 here I think - usually get a peak on 13 or 14. My LH surge is always really sudden, it’s low until it’s suddenly high then drops back down again just as quickly! It’s annoying as I never know exactly when to expect it. I am ovulating according to my blood tests though, so it must just be the way mine works.

I’m going to try the ferti-Lily cup this month, has anyone else tried it?

Welcome @lv565 ! There are quite a few of us here in late 30s/early 40s, TTC the first one, including me, so all good!
I am on CD5, and ovulation is usually around CD17, so still quite some time to go!

I’m currently somewhere between 2dpo and 8dpo - struggling to work out when I ovulated as this is our first cycle trying post miscarriage. Hoping 8dpo as I’m not sure I can wait much longer 😬

I have tried it before but gave up. I found it a bit tricky to use and was worried I had trapped sperm on the ‘wrong side’ of the cup. It was also messy when taking the cup out! I maybe should have persisted though. I’m intrigued to see how you get on with it!

I have no clue what's going on with my cycles at the moment! I'm on day 3 of AF and had basically nothing today, and AF was 3 days late, took a test incase it was implantation...BFN!!
Hopefully I ovulate this cycle!

Why does the TWW feel so long? I’m 6dpo and it’s been the longest six days of my life!

I’ve started planning a trip that I’ll book if it’s not a successful month for me. So by the end of this month I’ll either have another holiday to look forward to or be pregnant!

@OliveTraybake we’re on similar timeframes! According to my Natural Cycles app I’m between 4-6dpo. Every day feels like forever doesn’t it! I’m off work this week too which has given me more time to think about everything. I’m away for the next few days so that should be a good distraction. I’m trying to wait until Sunday to do my first test.

My second cycle of ttc and tracking ovulation and my first cyclenof using the clear blue fertility monitor. My cycles have been a bit funny these last few months and according to the monitor I reached my peak days earlier than expected. We managed to dtd 3 days before peak and during my peak days. I'm currently 3dpo so hoping that this will be the month 🙏
