Hi ladies!
CD 1 for me today, so I’m moving over from the July thread and starting this one (don’t think there is already one).
Anyone else now ttc for a BFP in August??

Do you know an estimate cd when you ovulate?

Before I tracked my cycle I just assumed I ovulated on cd14 like it says many do. Now I know roughly how long it is it feels like ages each time.

I currently have a sore throat/swollen lymph nodes or tonsils. Knowing my luck this will delay it (it did once before by 6 days).

Edited

I usually ovulate around cd 14, but we did two rounds of ivf at the start of the year and that has messed it around a bit! It has been a couple of days earlier for the last two cycles, so I’ll probably start tracking on cd 7.

Hello, can I join please?

No AF yet but cd28 of a usual 28 day cycle and BFN. My lower back and boobs are killing me so no doubt it is on the way.

This will be Cycle 9 I think, and more disheartening each month.

Hi and welcome!
I hate how, when TTC, our body starts to play tricks on us, like a late period. Still hoping that there’s a chance for you this cycle!

Hello ladies, today is CD7 of the 10th TTC cycle for baby no.1, aka the 3rd cycle post CP. Had 1 MC in March and 1 CP in May. Almost everyone is in 2WW already in most of the threads so this one looks like a good one to join. I expect to ovulate on CD21/22/23 so I have 2 more weeks to go until 2WW. Good luck to everyone here!

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining, I've just got my period AGAIN today 😮‍💨 so thought I'd join on the August thread, fingers crossed for everyone for August 🤞

pepperminticecream · 21/07/2024 05:31

Hi ladies, joining in from the June thread. August will be our 3rd month TTC after a loss in April. I had thought July would be our month and felt very relaxed about it and I had a shadow of a line yesterday morning and then AF showed up in the afternoon. Feeling a bit down as I have always fallen pregnant on our first month, and even though I know three months isn't long, I am still anxious after our loss in April.

I am going to try temping this month to see if that gives me more information (along with clear blue ovulation) and I am going to try to remember to take all of my supplements everyday!

Hi all. Coming over from the July thread.

I’d to know a bit about you all, whoever is happy to share, to see if we’ve got anything in common with anyone so we could swap tips/share thoughts/concerns on our TTC journeys.

I’m nearly 35 and have a 1yo already. (I appreciate how fortunate we are.) This is my second cycle of trying. We would have waited but we wanted to know sooner rather than later if we would have any obstacles delaying things this time round. I’m a healthy weight according to BMI but very out of shape since having my first. My diet hasn’t been anywhere near as good as it was when I first conceived and my sleep definitely isn’t. Hoping they don’t have an impact and trying my hardest to eat well.

Trying my hardest to not have TTC taking over my life!

Mama09876 · 21/07/2024 20:39

@Zo85 i feel you on the diet and fitness! I’m no where nearly as fit as I was trying for my first, she’s currently 2.5. I’ve been putting off trying for a 2nd (money, work etc) but mentally and agreed with partner to start from Aug (hoping for a spring/summer baby) so been trying to get my fitness/diet back on track but it’s very hard with a little one, work, life! Etc 😂

I’m going to bite the bullet and start trying my next ovulation (next week) like you said you never know how long it’s going to take and I’ve come to the conclusion there is never a right time to TTC so going to see what happens 🥰 and try not let it take over my life (easier said than done!! 😂)

Cakeisafoodgroup · 21/07/2024 21:02

AF arrived last night, right on time, so currently CD2.

I’m almost 36, have been TTC since December 23. I have 2 DC from a previous relationship- nearly 11yo who took 9 months, and a 7yo who was a happy surprise on the pill.
I had fertility bloods in June due to some unusual symptoms, which were fine. Currently trying to decide wether to seek further testing or just continue as we are…

Jefferson5 · 22/07/2024 13:15

Hey! May I join?
I’ve finally convinced my partner for a second child (DS is 2.5 years old). This is our first cycle trying for #2.

I think im 3 DPO. Haven’t done tests or temp or anything. Based it off the Flo app and CM. I have a short cycle of 26 days so I think I ovulated day 12.

Good luck all!

Rockchk31 · 22/07/2024 13:20

Hi,I am excited to be here ☺️ came off the pill last week to try for my second baby- first for my partner. I am 40 so know that luck may not be on my side but keeping everything crossed.
Having some awful side effects though from coming off the pill I have been on for 11 years 😳

I wish I had started ttc earlier, I think even a year or so would have made the difference for me (I’m 41 now).

It’s so hard isn’t it, you say you’re not going to let it take over your life but then you are constantly tracking your cycle/thinking about it etc and realise it has taken over! Best of luck

I'm due to ovulate on CD 19. I'm currently on CD 5. I'm struggling to get pregnant because my cycles are short. AF is turning up on 8 or 9 DPO which isn't giving enough time for anything to stick I don't think.

Does anyone else know if you can get pregnant or has got pregnant with a late ovulation date but a short cycle?

I'm using clear blue to track and every month I hope this month I might ovulate sooner to give implantation a chance!

Jefferson5 · 23/07/2024 18:23

Thanks @AlleycatMarie !

@FlyWren how short are your cycles?
mine are between 25-27 days. I believe my ovulation is earlier between 10-12 but that’s just guess work!

FlyWren · 23/07/2024 18:51

@Jefferson5 so my cycles are 27 /28 days but I'm not ovulating until day 19/20. So not even giving enough time for implantation.

Have you seen a doctor? It might be worth considering medication to lengthen your cycle/luteal phase if it’s stopping you getting pregnant?

OP posts:
FlyWren · 23/07/2024 20:37

@AlleycatMarie I'm only guessing that's what's stopping me. My doctors are a pain to get an appointment. I called last month to see about getting an appointment, and because it wasn't an emergency they wouldn't let a doctor see me they just said to keep trying 🙃

Jefferson5 · 24/07/2024 15:39

@FlyWren thats frustrating re the doctors!

FlyWren · 24/07/2024 15:56

@Jefferson5 I guess they have more important issues than someone just having a baby I guess. It's not really high priority.

OliveTraybake · 24/07/2024 17:51

CD14 for me today and I think I’ve just had my LH peak so baby danced with partner. Fingers crossed. Sending you all baby dust xxx
