CD 1 for me today, so I’m moving over from the July thread and starting this one (don’t think there is already one).
Anyone else now ttc for a BFP in August??

@ttcjourney20001 thank you. I praying it is. Had an early miscarriage in April so trying not to get carried away.
I have had spotting for the past 5 days! So odd never had it before and just assumed my periods were crazy, fingers crossed it was implantation and this turns into my BFP!

I got my BFP with DC1 at 11 DPO and then tested every day for the next 3 months 🤣 fingers crossed for you!!

Think I'm having a chemical 😢 we tested again last night and this morning and all tests have faint lines but not progressing and started bleeding today 😭

Sorry haven't been on a few days, been very busy at work and home. I am 8dpo and have absolutely no symptoms. But maybe this is the busy-ness means I am not symptom spotting like all the other months!

@Happysoul111 That sounds like a period I had back in January/February. I think sometimes we can just have odd periods, especially when stressed due to TTC.

Little update from me - I haven’t posted in a while. Firstly, congrats to everyone with a BFP 🥳 and so sorry to those who haven’t yet 🥰

I’m 1dpo again. So back into TWW. Last month I think our timing was off (cycle was shorter than expected) so I think we missed our chance last month without knowing it at the time. This month I’ve been tracking BBT with my natural cycles app, but also used ovulation tests. I got a positive 2 days ago and think I ovulated yesterday.

I’ll let you know what happens next!

(I’ve just turned 40 and this is our 2nd cycle ttc our first)

@1441x ooo we will know roughly the same time got everything crossed for you! Same I know fine well in a few days time I’ll be testing “just incase” knowing fine well it can’t be positive yet anyway 😂

Hi all, I'm currently on day 12 of cycle. Partner is away :( but we bd on the 9th day, I usually have a 28 day cycle. Do u think I have a chance of conceving has anyone else conceived this early in cycle?

I am 9dpo this morning, decided to test because I wanted to pee on a stick. Have no symptoms and was not expecting much, and it was indeed BFN. Will probably test until 12dpo. I am cramping a bit but this could be due to the upset stomach I had on Weds.

@BrickBee When is your partner back? Do you know exactly when you ovulate? For example I usually have 27 day cycles and ovulate on day 14, but I ovulated two days early this month.

@CoolSummer89 not for 2 weeks. I've always just thought it was day 14, but seen alot on here about how it might not be the cause so I got some ovulation tests yesterday to see if could get positive to hopfuly get in that window. A bit confusing but think I kind of understand but is also making me even more anxious then before wanting to test as much as can 😅

@BrickBee day 14 would make sense for an average 28 day cycle, but some women can ovulate a bit earlier and have a longer luteal phase (this is the time after ovulation until first day of your period) or ovulate late and have a shorter luteal phase.

If you do ovulate on day 14 and you last bd on cd 9, it would be unlikely that you get pregnant this month but not impossible. Sperm can live for up to 5 days. Ideally you would have sex 1-3 days before ovulation as that has the most chance of success.

How long have you been trying? I would try and relax as much as possible this month and just enjoy having the house to yourself :)

@BrickBee I also thought the same way as you and assumed I was fertile around 10 days after the start of my period, I've used the easy at home ovulation strips for the past 2 cycles and my ovulation has been around CD19/20! You can get a box off Amazon prime if you want to start tracking now, I find the app really useful in understanding your cycle and knowing your peak

Thoughts on this? Does this look positive? This is 12dpo and not FMU. It is absolutely pink but looks thin to me? Thoughts? Took this afternoon.

Hi ladies!

I’ve been quiet on here since I got my BFP - I’ve since had bloods taken in my EPU, HCG has risen well and I’m roughly 5 weeks now?

my dog delivered a litter of 6 puppies on Monday (it’s funny as we usually share the same time for a period as such! lol)

so it’s been hectic! I’m also really suffering with nausea as expected - I had HG with my 2 elder children, so no shock there!

Just been very weak with it and also working 9-5.30 on top of newborn puppies feeding, 2 children and a full time job! Phew!

Had a busy past week, taking my children and friends to Legoland and then Tuesday, my daughter and I went to see Taylor Swift at Wembley!

I won’t complain anyway!

I was given cyclizine for my sickness earlier so hopefully they help.

how is everyone doing? Any updates? Going to have a scroll and catch up xx

Oh wow! Seems like you've had a hectic few days!! Dogs are gorgeous. I've got a 2 year old Labrador, and a 1 year old Labracollie, they're a handful go say the least. Update from me; im out for this cycle, had enough now I might just give up, every single time it's the same disappointing, upsetting, annoying cycle. Working all the time keeps my mind off it though, but wishing for some luck soon. Hope you're not finding the sickness too bad 🙈 Charlie (right) and Rex (left) - thick as thieves!!!

I did a sneaky lunchtime test today as well and it was stark white! No idea how many DPO I am but it's CD 25 over here so likely a BFN this month.

11dpo on a frer, I think it's safe to say I'm probably out. On to the next cycle. Congrats to those who got there bfps and good luck to those moving on the the next cycle! 🍀

I’m so sorry to everyone who is on to the next month of trying or has experienced a chemical this month - ttc is so tough at time and it is so hard to not let it take over your thoughts! I definitely did not suceed in that the last time we were trying.

I’ve been keeping my head down during my TWW - keeping busy etc, then my friend gave me a bunch of her old pregnancy tests so I caved!
I think I am about 11dpo today - I got my LH surge 2 Sunday’s ago, but my bbt was still low on Monday morning (Tuesday my daughter woke me up and I had to go in and see her and I completely forgot to take my temp, b it it was high on Weds)

I think I might have a bfp - it is early days, and feint, we also had 2 losses before our daughter, so anxiety levels are already bubbling a bit. The top pic is 10dpo (yesterday) and the bottom is this morning. Hopefully it is a sticky bean like their big sis was - only time will tell 🤞🏻
