@Jecca88 oh god hun I literally know that feeling it’s horrendous the waiting game isn’t it, fingers crossed the days will fly by for you, that’s such a good sign no spotting !! Have you been feeling okay on the steroids still?
yes the scan Monday will be to see how many follicles I have and then he will tell me when to take the trigger injection to then DTD. I have started on the viagra, L-arganine & red leaf tea already hoping for a thick lining. Had to email the clinic today though as I’m cycle day 5 and randomly started spotting even though my period ended on cycle day 3 in the morning. They said to monitor it and see what the scan shows on Monday. So nerve wracking. I honestly have everything crossed for you !!!! X

Jecca88 · 28/11/2024 14:37

thanks @Meg310532 steroids make me a bit shakey but otherwise all ok. My Hormones are on the rise as getting hot and sweaty in my sleep and sore boobs and was nearly sick this morning.

Wishing you all the luck for Monday. Is the trigger injection to help with ovulation? is this for super ovulation treatment. Random about the spotting - maybe just the last of the period. has it stopped today?

Meg310532 · 28/11/2024 15:02

@Jecca88 that’s all such positive signs !!! I have a good feeling about this for you. Have you ever had sickness before with the other pregnancies ? … a lot of people say they notice their resting heart rate go up on their Apple Watch too.

yes this is for superovulation programme, so on Monday he will check to see how many follicles I have and if they are big enough then I will take the trigger injection which basically encourages the follicles to rupture and then we know to have sex 24-36 hours post trigger.

it’s just eye watering as I will have to pay £450 for the follicle scan & then £380 for the infusion and I might not even get pregnant. It’s a lot of money £830 a round potentially. Just got to hope it works first time I suppose!

yes the fresh blood has stopped but I have old blood still, I’m wondering if becsuse I was sooo heavy for two days (due to the asprin I think) that I just have old blood still coming out maybe.

they said to me they will check me over on Monday when I have the scan but they think it’s normal.

Newbeginnings22023 · 28/11/2024 22:09

Thank you @Carportforme @Jecca88 I’m doing ok. I had a follow up with my doctor and she suggested a hysteroscopy which I think is a good idea. I have endometriosis which I treated surgically a few times before, so I may need to get it treated again. Trying to do all I can before going for more rounds of IVF or superovulation.

Hope you’re both ok and everyone else is ok xx

Jecca88 · 29/11/2024 12:24

@Meg310532 it really is a lot of money. But hopefully with the scan it will give you some reassurance and hope. I try to not think of the money i spend at CRP as real money and dissociate from it, as when i think about it, its so much :(. I always try and tap my card to and forget no its too much for that. Maybe it was the aspirin - that prob would explain it.

@Newbeginnings22023 sounds like a hysteroscopy is a good shout. My friend also recently had a test for infection in her uterus - and she would have never known but they gave her a round of antibiotics. I was going to look into that if this one doesn't work out. x

Gizmo1983 · 30/11/2024 12:43

Hi ladies I hope everyone is well❤️. Quick update from me. I’m 3 weeks after my mva. Was still getting positive tests they were strong I phoned hospital, no joy so went for a private scan this morning and still got loads in there including placenta with a blood supply ffs. Absolutely gutted just want my life back xxx

v60 · 01/12/2024 04:35

Oh @Gizmo1983 that’s ridiculous, so sorry. Totally empathise after my recent x2 attempts at medical management and then surgery - it drags out an already painful and all consuming time. I just wanted to get back to “normal” and stop having tests and needles poked in me, really felt like I’d had enough intervention. Hope you have people around you taking care of you. I’ve just got my first period since my miscarriage, so it feels like that pregnancy is well and truly over.

Newbeginnings22023 · 01/12/2024 19:43

@Jecca88 thanks so much for the reassurance, really helpful. Hopefully the procedure will lead us somewhere.

@Gizmo1983 really sorry to hear this, I hope you’re ok. Have they suggested anything to deal with all this? Xx

Separately, does anyone know how to create a new thread? I believe 40 pages is the maximum we can have on this one xx

Carportforme · 01/12/2024 22:34

@Gizmo1983 So sorry, thatd awful. How did they miss that much? I would be wanting some answers!

Jecca88 · 02/12/2024 11:36

@Gizmo1983 I am so sorry to hear that, such a nightmare. Are you going to have to have another surgery? are you in pain at all? sending lots of love

@Newbeginnings22023 good shout - no idea how you make a new thread. Maybe you need to tag all the people on this on a new one. I think @VenusStarr made this one.

Jecca88 · 03/12/2024 10:27

@Meg310532 how did it go yesterday?

Meg310532 · 03/12/2024 10:34

@Jecca88 hi hun!! Aww it was a mixed emotion, so I had my scan (cycle day10) and they said that my lining was good thickness at 8.5mm thinking the viagra must have helped & the L-Arganine & beetroot juice as it was only 3mm on my cycle with a different company. He said that i had responded to the letrazole a bit too well as I had 3 dominant follicles & a couple of progressing ones. So he said I wasn’t allowed to take the trigger injection I have to just allow my body to ovulate naturally as there is too high risk of multiples. Feels frustrating when they say that as surely it’s my choice if I take the risk 😂 so I don’t know if my body will release all mature follicles without the trigger he said I will but online says different. I then had my infusion which was okay at the start but a bit achey when she sped it up. I need to start on the pred etc on Saturday as he thinks I will ovulate on Thursday. How are you hun?? Are things going okay? Xxx

Jecca88 · 03/12/2024 10:59

@Meg310532 great news on the lining and great news on your follicles - that must have been great reassurance - are you going to continue on L-Arganine and beetroot juice? oh interesting - i think the risk of miscarriage is obviously higher with multiples, maybe that's why they are hestitant. My 4th pregnancy was triplets and he has always explained that miscarriage down to it being multiples. Glad the infusion was ok, yeh it can get so achey, i always feel like a wimp in the room - as everyone seems so fine and normal with them. Are you tracking your ovulation? Did they say why you need to start pred two days after ovulation?

I am feeling quite anxious this week. I just feel like i am currently existing and trying to fill my time but not enjoying anything. I got my wellbeing blood results from last week and my Neutrophil count is high (White blood cells) which has sent me into deep google dive - could be the pred, could also be this current pregnancy or i dunno inflammation.

Meg310532 · 03/12/2024 11:09

@Jecca88 im sure that my friend at work had high neutrophil count but that was to do with her gestational diabetes which you can get in pregnancy or something to do with high stress levels I can’t remember now but did the clinic reassure you that it’s okay? Are they doing anything to help with them being high? Did the well-being blood test also test your HCG?

yes 100 percent will continue with the beetroot juice and L-arganine as I’m too scared to stop 🙈! Ohhh I’m not actually sure why he told me to take the steroids etc from Saturday… I think what I might do is just test every day for ovulation and then as soon as I get a peak I will start the pred etc. I know the girls in the room seem so chilled on the drip but I kept overthinking it going in my body haha ! Yeh that’s true about the miscarriage thing, I suppose I was just thinking more eggs then more chance. If this round doesn’t work then I’m just going to take the left over letrozole I have and not bother with the scan. It cost me £980 yesterday, I don’t think I can afford to pay £980 every month till I’m pregnant it’s so much!!!! X

Jecca88 · 03/12/2024 11:31

@Meg310532 i also read about gestational diabetes and with Polycystic ovaries i think i will likely have it in later pregnancy :( MY Bloods are done with my GP, so yet to talk to CRP about them - but gonna send them on today and call to discuss. No they didn't test for HCG.

How much beetroot juice do you take a day? I am eating a a beetroot a day too lols.

£980 is sooo much, i agree maybe next time you dont need the scan, but hopefully this time it works as it sounds like some good eggs are getting ready.

Also I think the first scan is always more expensive - so the next one should be less.

Meg310532 · 03/12/2024 11:37

@Jecca88 on the plus side trying to see a silver lining is that it shows that the pregnancy is going in the right way if your bloods are changing? Means somethings different in your body causing this do you know what I mean?

so it says you should drink 300ml of beetroot juice, which is hard work I have only been drinking 225ml as I got these 75ml bottles from Amazon - it’s called Beet it.
yes I’m really hoping this cycle works :)) fingers crossed !!!!!!! X

recurrentmis · 03/12/2024 13:51

Hi all, I had my appointment with Dr Shehata today. Seems everything has come back normal (see results attached) ?? I'm already on a low dose immune suppressant for Crohn's and have been since 2016.

For context, I have had 4 chemicals and 1 natural loss at 6.5-7 weeks where I had an early scan after bleeding and the sac looked an odd shape and everything was way too small.

Dr Shehata prescribed me progesterone and prednisone as I got a borderline result and that’s it. Can it really just all be bad luck? I’ve had a 3D womb scan and everything looked good there. I’ve had privately loads of tests to see if I have any infections that could cause endometritis and everything was negative. I’ve had karyotyping and awaiting results. DNA fragmentation was 11%.

My cycle is around 32 days - always 14 day luteal phase. I’ve had my progesterone tested on day 21 once, which was 41. However I ovulated very early in that cycle at like day 11/12 and so by the time I took the test I was already pregnant so not sure if that affected it. That ended in the 6-7 week loss.

@recurrentmis oh i am sorry that this is not the news you wanted. Is very confusing. what Immune suppressants are you on for Crohns?

Have you had a scan with Shahata - i had about 50 scans with NHS and only when i had with Shahata - did they spot i had polycyctic ovaries.

Super nervous for tomorrow, don't quite know how i will get myself there for the first scan :(

Meg310532 · 05/12/2024 14:47

Good luck tomorrow @Jecca88 have been thinking about you today! I have absolutely everything crossed for you! You are in good hands with CRP! Praying for you tonight xxxx

Jecca88 · 06/12/2024 13:20

TW- mentions of current pregnancy.
thanks @Meg310532 just on my way back from the clinic. We finally have some good news - we have a strong heartbeat and we heard it - which is a first for us. Both my husband and I burst into tears as we just couldn’t believe it as we had prepared for the worst. It’s so early still but happy we have got to this stage and finally have a scan where it can be good news. Sending love to everyone. x

Meg310532 · 06/12/2024 14:02

Omg omg omg @Jecca88 i have been literally refreshing my emails all day waiting for this !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh this is AMAZING news I could not be happier for you ! Right now everything is in the most positive direction! I am SO happy for you !!!! what’s next now then ? Another scan in a few weeks ??? X

Jecca88 · 06/12/2024 17:06

ahh thank you @Meg310532 that means so much. Honestly i don't think i breathed in that scan room. How are you feeling about ovulation this weekend? So a Scan and Intralipids at 8 weeks - so just under two weeks to wait again and just continue doing what i am doing and taking all the same meds. He didn't seem concerned about the high WBC or Neutrophils. He said its normal in Pregnancy and with steroid use so that was reassuring.

Meg310532 · 06/12/2024 17:18

@Jecca88 how nice to have the reassurance from him! I bet you were shaking before going into that scan ?? God it’s so nerve wracking isn’t it ! You will sleep well tonight hun!!! I am feeling alright about it all, feel a bit disheartened that I wasn’t able to trigger to release more than one egg to give me more of a chance but I can still get pregnant with the one egg so I’m hoping that I end up pregnant this month ! I got my peak on the tests last night about 7 so expecting ovulation to be anytime now. Nervous about starting the steroid tablets tomorrow.
it’s so good that you get to be scanned every two weeks as that will deff reassure you and stop you having too many weeks to worry! Did you get a pic of the little bean? X
