@Jecca88 🥰 it's such a hard experience and I think even though we go to the specialists, there's so many factors at play, it's difficult to ever really know. But I've stayed with Dr S as I do believe that immunes have played a factor in my losses. It's mentally, emotionally and financially difficult to just keep going isn't it?

If we've got 2 good ones, we'll put 2 in. I hope we do. Even on my other protocol, we got 1 good one at day 3 both times, so am hopeful we will have 1 or 2 good ones from this round. And they're defrosting my day 3 from January which they said was good 🙏 so they'll pick the best and then if anything else is still going, they'll watch them until Friday / Saturday. My dh can't come tomorrow though, so I'm going alone, which is ok as I had 2 transfers alone in the pandemic. I'll meet my sister after for dinner as he's on a late too.

@VenusStarrthanks so much , I feel like I have spent a good half of these last two years wishing time away !! Also good luck for Friday/Saturday I hope you get a few good ones. That will be nice that you can go for some dinner with your sister after ❤️

@Jecca88 yeh I totally get that, but it’s good there is a bit of a reasoning behind the two under his protocol. I got diagnosed with PCO high AMH but not the full syndrome as I don’t have the acne, hair, weight gain just the ovaries that are polycystic. I got put on metformin as I begged my last clinic who wrote me a prescription to my Drs and they told me to take 500mg but Dr S said I had to up that to 1500mg as 500 would do nothing at all. What have you been put on for yours? Has your lining always been good thickness? X

lozzmax · 29/10/2024 21:58

@VenusStarr good luck tomorrow ❤️❤️❤️❤️

VenusStarr · 30/10/2024 08:35

I've had a call already. So, we still have 6 embryos 🤯 5 are grade 2, the other grade 3. A couple are already compacting which he said may be good but sometimes they burn themselves out, so he won't transfer those today.
I'm still going in today. He said he'd initially recommend waiting to Friday but we talked through my history and my mental health and he understands my reasoning for wanting to transfer today. Dh is at work, so called him to check he's happy and just waiting for the embryologist to call me back to confirm.

So I'll be pregnant until proven otherwise today 🥹🥰

I get migraine but it’s different i had a small tear in my retina years ago and im at risk so i have to go to the eye infirmary this afternoon my BIG fear is they will make me stop the hydroxy chlorine im absolutely terrified xxx

VenusStarr · 30/10/2024 14:50

I'm officially pupo 🥰🥰 got a 10 cell and a 9 cell on board. I'll be having a beta blood test so I'm going to enjoy my little bubble for now. Currently on the sofa under a blanket, with my feet in my warmer and a cat on my lap. Keep growing little ones 🙏

@Gizmo1983 that sounds scary. I'm sorry you're going through this. Have you been seen yet? I'm glad you have had another scan and all is well ❤️

Thank you @HopefulH how are you?

@Rainbowsunshine81 how are you getting on?

Thats Interesting @Meg310532 - yes so i don't think i have the syndrome either - but have high cholesterol and blood sugar which is strange as generally i have a good diet - i have looked into and it can be hard to manage with PCO. They have given me somehting call Inofolic - which is basically myo insotol. I have heard of metaformin - do you think it helps? My Lining was never an issue until he saw me last time and said it was bit thin for this time in my cycle, so been eating Brasil nuts, beetroot, pineapple and lots of greens lols and trying to exercise everyday - ready for intralipids tomorrow.

@VenusStarr this is so exciting - Pupo :) enjoy dinner tonight with your sis and cuddles with your cat on the blanket.

@Gizmo1983 - I am sorry to hear about your eye :( lets hope for the best and you can continue with Hydrox. That reminds me to book my eye test too. Good luck for this afternoon

Meg310532 · 30/10/2024 15:54

@Jecca88 ahh that’s interesting, I am also on Inofolic alongside the metformin. I have heard such good things about metformin for PCO and I have noticed stronger more regular ovulation too. When Dr S Saw your lining was thin did he suggest putting you on estrogen or anything else to help lining ? I took viagra on days 1 to my ovulation day which helps as pumps blood to uterus so helps the lining grow (dr s told me I can do this again) I found this out myself.

@VenusStarr deffo sending you all the positivity your way ❤️

HopefulH · 30/10/2024 16:03

@VenusStarr how wonderful you have two on board! Enjoy your PUPO bubble. When is your beta test booked for?

I'm good thank you. Baby girl is doing okay, I think... all looked good at my 20 week scan last week. I'm almost off the prednisolone. Still very much in disbelief and scared to plan - but equally I kind of have to get cracking to get things sorted. I've got my next specialist appt next week when I'll find out how baby is growing so that's my next milestone 🤞 xx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 30/10/2024 16:49

@VenusStarr That's wonderful ❤️ ❤️ I'm not too bad, been feeling achy these past few days, just now had a sudden nausea, wasn't sick, but felt like I was going to be with a metallic taste in my mouth.

Gizmo1983 · 30/10/2024 18:18

@VenusStarr absolutely awesome news 2 on board as well that’s amazing you rest up and keep warm. When is your test date?
@Rainbowsunshine81 i had a day of achiness a few days ago I didn’t like it at all i just felt uneasy all day xxx i guess we need to stretch at some point lol xxx
@HopefulH can’t believe you will be off the steroids soon that time has flown
@Jecca88 thank you so much yes get it booked my optician has a 2 month waiting list.
oh ladies I have just got home from the eye infirmary I have had every test scan u name it under the sun they could find absolutely nothing they think it is a migraine but I still have the flashy lights now. Tbh I am just so pleased it’s nothing to do with my retinas and no one even suggested coming off the hydroxy xxx a quiet night for me and hoping I just fall asleep and the flashy lights just disappear xxx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 30/10/2024 19:30

@Gizmo1983 it started last week I think and has been on and off, quite uncomfortable at times and can feel like some pressure sort of on my tailbone, topped with feeling windy lol.
Hope you're OK after today. Xxx

Hhdxx · 31/10/2024 08:41

Hey everyone,
Sorry I've not been on here for a couple of weeks.
I hope everyone is doing well.

@VenusStarr everything looks really promising and I have everything crossed for you. I know how long the wait feels after transfer. Sending lots of love and hope.

I'm off prednisolone now. It's been scary coming off it but baby seems to be doing really well.
I'm sorry if that is hard to hear as I know after years and years of trying , hearing other people's baby news hurts. But hopefully it gives people hope after 10 losses, including a neonatal loss and no living children, the medication seems to be working. I really hope it does for everyone on here 💕

Gizmo1983 · 31/10/2024 14:31

hey @VenusStarr how are you feeling xxx
@Hhdxx that’s amazing news, what gestation have you weaned off the steroids so glad baby is doing well and it’s so lovely to hear a happy story especially when you have been through so much to get there
@Rainbowsunshine81 totally understand the windy pain u get a cramp think oh no then it bubbles through a tube in your gut somewhere and u think yup just air 😂.

Carportforme · 31/10/2024 15:33

I'm playing catch up with these threads as usual and wanted to pop on and say @VenusStarr I am wishing you absolutely the best of luck with this cycle. I am so hoping they both stick and grow for you. Take it easy and have a wonderful weekend when it comes x

Rainbowsunshine81 · 31/10/2024 15:52

@Gizmo1983 makes some weird noises aswell, uncomfortable and hard to find a comfortable position to sit. Wonder how long it will last for 😜

VenusStarr · 01/11/2024 11:17

Hi everyone. Thank you for all the love and support ❤️
Miraculously, I have good news. We have 2x 5BB blasts frozen (one was the day 3 frostie! 🤯). There's a 2BB, an early blast still growing that they're watching to tomorrow. There was also a 3DD which they're discarding.
I'm completely in shock. The embryologist said he was hopeful that the 2 we have on board are making blastocyst today 🙏 I really hope so.

How are you feeling @Gizmo1983 that sounds really scary, I hope the migraine has passed now. I don't get aural ones but do sometimes get migraines and they wipe me out after. Hope you're OK ❤️

Thank you @Carportforme how are you doing?

@Hhdxx that's fantastic news that baby is doing well. Good to hear from you. Hope the weaning off pred is going OK too

@Rainbowsunshine81 that all sounds promising with your symptoms (funny how we want to feel rough) 🙂 are you having another scan soon?

@HopefulH ah, great news 💕 it's booked for 11 November 🙏🙏

Hope you're OK @Jecca88 did you say you were going for intralipids? Fingers crossed for this cycle.
My cats have been looking after me. I swear one of them is drawn to the hcg trigger, anytime I sit down, she's there. It's cute.

Thank you for the good vibes @Meg310532

It's been years of bad news, so I'm celebrating these small wins 🥰 Lots of love everyone xxx

Jecca88 · 01/11/2024 11:34

Thanks @VenusStarr - did have my intralipids yesterday. There is a new nurse who is soo lovely - called Paige :). I am trying to remain positive for this cycle - but bloody just come down with a cold :( lets hope i can muster up some energy to try and be a bit sexy for the deed over the next few days. Amazing news you have two more Embryos :)

thanks for advice on the Viagra @Meg310532 - I actually spoke to Geri yesterday about concerns over my lining, she said when i had the scan back in August it was only a couple of months after the MC and some months can be off - and my lining must be ok for 5 previous preganncies to have implanted so that was reassuring. She said if it doesn't happen this month - come back and have a scan and they can give me something to help. She did say don't overdo it on the 'natural remedies' but she did also say yes Viagra does help from CD2 to Ovulation :) - i had no idea woman could have viagra :) lols. Not sure how i feel about going to the shop to buy it - is it prescription only?

VenusStarr · 01/11/2024 11:57

Yes, I had Paige last week, she's lovely 🙂 @Jecca88 hope your cold doesn't come to anything and you can power through.
Have you tried vitamin E too? That's worth a try and trying to walk around to keep everything flowing. Fingers crossed for this cycle xx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 01/11/2024 12:06

@VenusStarr That's fab news about the frozen blasts ❤️ ❤️
I was talking to our family friend who has been through ivf about how the icky feeling seems to have been easing and she said its normal round this time, I still feel anxious though. I have the 12 week scan on the 13th of November, feeling anxious about that as I always do with scans, I don't know whether to have a private scan before then or not.
Hope you're OK ❤️ xxx

Meg310532 · 01/11/2024 13:28

@Jecca88 was it your pre ovulation infusion you had ? Does it feel weird having it ? is it about an hour ?? I went onto the Superdrug website and bought them off their pharmacy! I think it gives you the option to explain that you want them to help increase your lining , or you could pretend they are for your partner. They are quite expensive though and the GP won’t prescribe them I already tried. Xx
