@Sunflower360 and @lozzmax thankyou so much. I had to be up early as I was running an organised dog walk it probably did me good to get out the house even if I was wet and freezing. Yes that’s exactly what I’m doing looking towards the ivf and am pleased it’s super early. I’ve eaten loads of crappy food which has made me feel even more crappy. But I’ll start fresh tomorrow. I’ve managed to get my flights refunded anyway so that’s one thing xxx

VenusStarr · 30/04/2024 07:18

How are you doing @Gizmo1983 I'm glad you got a refund on the flights.

How's everyone else getting on? X

Hi @VenusStarr im ok thanks just waiting for the bleeding to fully start I’m hoping it will just be a heavy period just want it over and done with. I have that follow up scan this morning from the pains I was having 2 weeks ago. U really don’t want to go. Just want to live my life and forget this crap at the minute I can’t even bring myself to take the stupid vitamins anymore.
how are you?

Gizmo1983 · 30/04/2024 08:43

@VenusStarr my stomach has been so upset I am just praying they dont need an internal scan i have to rush to the toilet every 10 mins. Can you imagine 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Rainbowsunshine81 · 30/04/2024 08:52

Hi, hope it's OK to join? I'm hopefully having intraplids next month as I had the nk cell blood test and one of them came back higher than normal, CD3 was 91.7
I'm really hoping that these intraplids work, and hopefully having a fet next month. That's providing that fluid that was seen on a scan has gone, on progynova to thicken the lining and hopefully get rid of the fluid. Has anyone been on nafarelin nasal spray before? I'm on that this time, due to there being a shortage of buserlin. I've found I've been experiencing period like symptoms for the past few days, so that's something else to worry about.

VenusStarr · 30/04/2024 09:16

I get it @Gizmo1983 😔 it's relentless at times. I hope today goes OK. Sorry you've got an upset tummy too. Its probably hormone related, hopefully it settles.
I'm not doing hydroxy at the moment and only doing my morning supplements. Being a revel 😒 but it is ok to give yourself a break xx

Hi @Rainbowsunshine81 I've not done nasal spray before. I hope the fluid goes and things go smoothly for your FET. Are you on any other immune meds with the intralipids?

How are you doing @Sunflower360 are you close to transfer? X

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 30/04/2024 09:23

@VenusStarr transfer is on 2nd May, won't know until the morning though if its a single or double as it depends what, if anything, the day 3 does and whether we need to dip into 2 frozen ones. So a bit in limbo until then

VenusStarr · 30/04/2024 09:27

How are you feeling about it all @Sunflower360 are they defrosting your day 3 today? Fingers crossed for you xx

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 30/04/2024 09:28

@VenusStarr yep their thawing today. Its a 12 cell...so I'm a bit nervous about that as 8 cell is usually the standard so I'm not expecting a lot from it tbh

Sunflower360 · 30/04/2024 09:28

Thank you! X

Rainbowsunshine81 · 30/04/2024 09:34

@VenusStarr Thank you, I'm only going to be on intraplids I think, one before transfer, then if i have a positive test then carry them on for a couple of weeks.

Gizmo1983 · 30/04/2024 09:53

@Sunflower360 got everything crossed for you for the 2nd. I’ve read so much up on pgta testing I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer to it i definitely don’t think it’s perfect. We are going for it on this first round due to our age and I’ve had 3 losses one was chromosomal fine the other 2 weren’t however they’ve said if we only get one they will just put it in and see what happens it’s bloody expensive on top of everything else 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Got absolutely everything crossed for you xxx
@Rainbowsunshine81 welcome I had intralipids for the first time a few weeks ago I was really nervous but it was fine I hope so much it does the job.
@VenusStarr ugh yes I’m still choking the hydroxy down I don’t blame you for having a break from it.
am currently sat in a waiting room of pregnant ladies waiting to see the dr. Had my scan the lining was perfect for a pregnancy so not a lining problem must have been with the quality of the blast ( or whatever it’s called at that stage 🤯) am
still not loosing much just a few drops of dark blood a day I’m hoping this hurries up and leaves my body you can guarantee my body will try and hang onto it. My hcg is totally negative now so they said I should start to bleed anytime hopefully xxx

VenusStarr · 30/04/2024 10:11

Glad everything was OK with the scan. Good news about the lining - as someone who's had terrible lining issues, it's reassuring but really bittersweet ❤️ @Gizmo1983 if you're doing pgta too, knowing that the lining and environment is good will be a positive moving forward.
Are you taking a ttc break this month?

We've not really talked about ttc / ivf much. I'm feeling a bit lighter today but think I need to see how I'm coping with work and the meds increase first. I'll chat with my therapist this week. Funny as a few weeks ago, I was sure we'd finished with it all... 🤯

Hopefully the intralipids are the missing link @Rainbowsunshine81

I didn't see your other message @Sunflower360 hope you're OK. What ice learnt is nothing is ever certain, brilliant embryos don't work and the ones we expect the least from come through ❤️🙏

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 30/04/2024 10:17

@VenusStarr sorry deleted by mistake! I just said that I could very quickly go from 6 embryos to 3 if the day 3 does nothing and this 3rd FET fails. I'm only left with lower grade embryos BC/CB/CC. So am considering an EC after this FET and possibly PGTA if we manage to get embryos to warrant PGTA. I'm finding the tww the worst bit out of all if it tbh as it really is nothing you can do and you've gone through all that to finally get an outcome or way or another. Its such an emotional rollercoaster

Rainbowsunshine81 · 30/04/2024 10:23

@Gizmo1983 Thank you 😊 I'm really hoping the intraplids are what I need. I feel like I'm in control and hopefully doing something that will help. Xx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 30/04/2024 10:24

@VenusStarr I'm really hoping so, never had anything like them before, but hoping they help. Xx

Gizmo1983 · 01/05/2024 11:42

@Sunflower360 Just want you to know thinking of you today and that things are going well. Got everything crossed xxx

Sunflower360 · 01/05/2024 14:59

@Gizmo1983 aww thank you, my transfer is actually tomorrow so still in limbo whether it'll be a single or double transfer but all be clear tomorrow. Funnily enough I noticed some twitching in my uterus today (I'm not pregnant as we were told not to try during FET) and thought to myself if I'd had the transfer I would have attributed that as a 'good' sign something is happening. Its crazy really but has made me realise not to symptom spot as it can mean absolutely nothing!

Gizmo1983 · 01/05/2024 20:32

Sorry for getting the wrong day @Sunflower360 🤦‍♀️. Got everything crossed for you for tomorrow. Fingers crossed the twitching is a nice juicy thick lining ready for implantation xxx

Sunflower360 · 01/05/2024 20:53

@Gizmo1983 that's ok, thank you. Hope you're ok X

elarcoiris · 01/05/2024 21:28

Hi all, is it ok for me to join? Had my follow up appointment with Prof S today and confirmed high thyroid peroxidase antibodies and a high TH1:TH2 ratio. Not entirely sure what any of that means beyond that it could be the cause of the 4 first trimester losses I’ve had in the last 18 months or so, and that he wants me to take adalimumbab followed by prednisolone, intralipids etc when TTC. Anyway, very glad to have found this thread as my head is spinning slightly from it all!

Sunflower360 · 01/05/2024 21:40

@elarcoiris Hi, I too have elevated thyroid antibodies (TPO). They in short can damage the thyroid gland over time and can lead to underactive thyroid in the future sometime (perhaps several years down line); its known as Hashimoto's conditon. Its unclear exactly how TPO affects pregnancy but some research suggest miscarriage rates are higher with it as the body may have an immune response to the embryo, hence Prednisolone commonly prescribed in these instances to suppress the immune system to minimise this risk. What were your levels if you don't mind me asking? Also have you had your tsh (thyroid) levels checked?

elarcoiris · 01/05/2024 22:14

@Sunflower360 Ah ok. Hypothyroidism runs in my family so that actually makes quite a lot of sense. TPO is 49.4 and TSH is within the normal range (although apparently on the higher side of optimal from a fertility perspective). What were your levels?
