Hi ladies I haven’t been around for a while just needed a bit of head space from everything. Any of you that are with dr shehata and are doing ivf ( fresh or frozen) when you’ve had your Intralipids does dr shehatas clinic inform your ivf clinic or are you just allowed to tell them yourself. My ivf clinic isn’t keen on the intralipids so would just rather they don’t know I’ve had them xxx

You can just sort intralipids yourself and the clinic don't share with your ivf clinic or GP. My clinic are similar, they don't mind as such but they just turn a blind eye to the extras I do. I do need to get in touch with them actually, last time I did was just to tell them about the breast lump, so we were still on hold. I'm sure my bloods have expired there too.
I've got a baseline scan and a Dr review appt booked for next week to get the ball rolling as everything had expired. Feeling OK about it. I'm definitely doing a day 3 transfer this time.
Are you prepping for transfer now? Xx

Hey @VenusStarr so lovely to hear from you and so glad you had a lovely holiday ❤️. Yes we have one low level mosiac that’s the only one we’ve ever had so not great but it’s a 5aa so that’s a bit better so I’m told. Yes all being well they putting it in Friday I have little/ next to no hope but I am just so exhausted with the whole thing now.
so is a 3 day transfer when they let it grow for 3 days and then pop it in rather than push it to 5? I’m still learning ( at a rapid rate 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ ) xxx

Thanks @VenusStarr - so glad the lump was just a cyst - still must have been super scary time. I am sorry to hear about your dad :( hope it's not cancer. Thinking of you.

I am still waiting on results for the PCOS blood test - so gonna call up today. He hasn't prescribed Metformin yet - but given me inofolic for the meantime.

Starting Prednisolone this weekend - any tips? I am terrified of the insomnia.

Just catching up with the thread - how is everyone?

I had positive test at the weekend and they do seem to be getting darker but still faint. I need to stop peeing on sticks but I’m terrified of another miscarriage if I’m really honest. I’m surprised I caught my ovulation - it was really early this month. But I’ve started my drugs - clexane is quite the stingy bugger! I need to book in for my intralipids but can’t quite trust the pregnancy test enough yet. I’m not fully certain of when my period is due because my last one was progesterone induced. I think I’m around 14 or 15 dpo. Holding my breath!

@jecca88 I've read that taking pred in the morning is best for that very reason but I've only just started so don't have enough personal experience to comment otherwise yet

@Jecca88 not sure what I last posted, I had my third fet on the 31st of August, test date is this Thursday and I'm trying not to be anxious. Did have some spotting last Friday, sat and sun, trying to be cautious but haven't had anymore since, I was on aspirin, which my clinic advised me to stop. I'm hoping it was implantation, trying not to google, but can't help it.

@v60 tentative congratulations got everything crossed it goes darker I’ve had ones that did and ones that disappeared it’s so hard
@Rainbowsunshine81 hi sweet got everything crossed this one works how are u feeling. I start my own FET on Friday never had a transfer of any kind before. Are you doing dr shehatas plan I just feel like I’m taking meds all the time i know it’s safe but it just feels like a lot plus my clinic have got my on 3. Progesterone pessaries and injection I’ve had to write out a daily rota so I do t miss anything xxx

@Gizmo1983 hi lovely thank you ❤️ have had backache for some time and like dull achy crampy feeling in my lower tummy. Not following that plan, just what my consultant prescribed, had the intraplids couple of days before transfer, x2 progesterone pessaries 1 lubion injection and x4 progynova, was on aspirin but been told to stop as I had that spotting. I keep meaning to write it all down, lots to remember. Feeling very nervous for Thursday. How are you? Xxx

@Rainbowsunshine81 those all sound like very promising symptoms . We had 2 cycles for ivf the 1st resulted in a 5aa segmental mosaic ( it has a 9% chance less than a euploid of working ) and the 2nd cycle was abandoned as j didn't respond to it so I literally have one shot. There’s still 2 more cycles we’ve paid for don’t know if I’d pgta test again or not for those 2 guess would have to see how many we get if this doesn’t work. Honestly I’d move straight to donor eggs but hubby is really not keen which I totally get xxx

It's not a easy decision to make, going with donor eggs. We had I think about 2 or 3 transfers with my own eggs and never had a positive. So many things to think about when you're going through this, ive certainly learnt a lot. Oh I so hope these are promising signs. Xxx

@Rainbowsunshine81 i honestly hope so so so much for you too every time I’ve been pregnant I’ve had that deep dull ache and I only ever had it when I got a positive test so I really think it is a good sign. When did they put it in? The spotting could defo also be implantation bleeding I’ve always had that a s well mine was always dark brown little bits of tissue. I have everything crossed for you you deserve this xxx

TW: Live Birth following secondary infertility

Hi All, just wanted to share an update that our baby boy was born strong and healthy last week. I was on Dr Shehata's complex protocol for high nk cells and seems it's worked for us. Wishing you all the very best on this journey, and sending a million thank yous because feeds like this led me to Dr S in the first place.

@Gizmo1983 Thank you so much 💓 that's encouraging to hear that you had those symptoms. My transfer was on the 31st of August. Fingers crossed haven't had any since Sunday. It really means a lot 😘 xxx

Massive congratulations @fleur89 youve made me feel so much better as I’m taking all of dr shehatas meds on his protocol and just back from intralipids and wondering how my body can handle all these meds. I’m so happy for you it’s wonderful news xxx

I had a baseline scan today as everything had expired - all looking OK. I'd ovulated from my left and my lining was 7.7mm which is good as I've had terrible issues in the past. The Dr thinks they'll do a mild protocol again, but will check on Friday as seeing my Dr. I had about 8 follicles.
She weighed me too and I'm 4lbs down to where I was earlier in the year 👍

Really hoping your transfer goes well tomorrow @Gizmo1983. I bought a medication dosset box to keep up with everything, finding it really helpful, although obviously the pessaries and injections don’t fit. I also wonder if my body can handle everything and is it all necessary, but on the flip side, I want to do absolutely everything within my reach and control.

@fleur89 congrats! Lovely news. And yes, threads like this are a lifeline. There’s no one I can talk to in real life who actually knows what I’m talking about and can compare notes.

@VenusStarr no such thing as crap coming on - we all have to pace ourselves and pop in and out. I quite like the quiet and then little flurry of catch up.

I’ve got a cold which is hideous, but had some bloods done yesterday for the intralipids (immunoglobulin and liver function) and checked my hcg - it’s 240, which is fine according to the nurse but who knows without another test. Intralipids booked for Monday.

@v60 I've still to do the test, completely bricking it. Hope you're OK. Xx
