I've noticed a lot of us TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other 💕💕

Argh think I saw the start of my period when I wiped this morning. I’ve had quite short cycles since coming off the pill and this would be a 12 day LF which I know isn’t ideal. We’ll see what next month brings!

Eatsleepbakerepeat · 01/05/2024 07:10

So had the most vivid dream that I had a positive test but then woke up this morning with a feeling of your not pregannt, was weird and my temp dropped 0.5oc overnight, and the test i did i couldnt see a line so think I might be out this month ;/ going to wait until friday/ Saturday and then test again but not hopeful
It's so hard when you want something so much so so hard, I'm staying hopeful as this morning my boobs are so tingly and i feel so sick but think the sickness could jus t be nervousness about it all

I've heard it's more likely you'll get a false negative than you will a false positive. Don't give up hope just yet! Hope you're okay x

I'm pretty sure I'm out, got those pre AF cramping and just feeling ugh
Just need to decide if I speak with the Dr's and class this as another MC or an false positive and see what next month brings

@Eatsleepbakerepeat How many times have you tested?

So I did one Monday and then it hink Tuesday both faint positives
Then Wednesday which was tbh negative
Then none since
Can't bring myself to the disappointment again
Just not sure if I class the faint faint positives so early before my AF as an actual positive or if it was a false one

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 02/05/2024 07:56

Do you think you could test tomorrow or Saturday? Will give you a little bit of a break and a breather to leave it until then and will hopefully give you a clearer answer.
For what it's worth, I really don't think it was a false positive if you got it twice 🤞🏻

I completely understand your hesitation though. Sending love

We were planning on leaving it until tomorrow but I just have no faith
I'm worried it was maybe another CP but an early early one?
My head doesn't know where its at

That's okay, take some time. It's a big thing for you.
Would it be worth speaking to your partner about your concerns with this and come up with a plan? That way IF it is negative you can go out together for a little treat or something? And on the flip side, if it's positive, you can go out for a mini celebration with each other. Then whatever the outcome is, work on where you go from there?

I'm sorry I'm not the best at this as I've never been through what you have so acknowledge this may not be great advice. Be kind to yourself and don't push yourself into doing anything you're not ready to do x

cheeseycrumpets · 02/05/2024 14:10

@Eatsleepbakerepeat Im so sorry you’ve had conflicting results on tests this week! Thats the last thing you need when trying again after loss. I know the feeling of overanalysing every symptom and not knowing if you trust your body. Well done for avoiding testing today, hopefully waiting until tomorrow or Saturday will make things clearer. I agree with @2BabyOrNot2Baby (who gives such kind, lovely advice) that you should plan a treat for yourself this weekend no matter the outcome. Thinking of you and sending lots of positivity your way ❤️

@2BabyOrNot2Baby @cheeseycrumpets

Thank you both for your lovely messages, I had a bit of a cry to my husband last night and he was amazing, very I have positive vibes it will happen, but if this isn't out month we enjoy another month of a family of 3, he was lovely and everything I needed. I don't want it to start becoming a chore every month thinking about trying but I don't think we're there yet
Just going to see what the weekend and this next month brings I think

@Eatsleepbakerepeat, I'm still holding out hope, and in the case that it's not a positive, you have us to fall back on also. We're all on the same journey ☺️

How are you ladies feeling today? I've been thinking AF has finished since Monday now but every time I'm brave enough to go without some form of protection, I get a liiiittle bit more of a show 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's obviously annoying in regards to wanting to start trying again for the month but also annoying as it's been 12 days now wearing pads 😭

Jeeze 12 days! Hopefully it goes away soon! That's. Along one and a delay right?!

And yh I'm OK, had cramping yesterday which has gone today, tested today nd BFN so I'm pretty sure AF is going to arrive this weekend, I don't know if I have a dodgy batch of tests, what do others use?

The only other thing I'm debating is, I didn't ovulate till thr 22nd/24th I think (I don't track with tests but with CM and my temp tracking That's where it put it) so could yesterdays cramping have been implantation? As I never get cramping before my AF makes an appearance so that was odd!
Having a weekend off and going to relax and enjoy, then test Monday if AF hasn't arrived, but I'm pretty certain it will have.

Yeah my cycles aren't the most regular anyway but the past two have been 32+ days. It's no longer a full flow, but enough to make me not want to risk going without 🙃 annoying thing is I had absolutely nothing on Sunday so assumed it had naturally ended - jokes on me 😭

I usually use the cheap strip ones but haven't been getting along with those this time TTC so since made the switch to easy@home. A few girls on another thread I'm on use those and FRER's

Unfortunately my body isn't very helpful and temping just completely scrambles my head so I don't know about that for sure, but I'd say it very well could be. Ovulation can sometimes be all over the place itself, it sure isn't easy for us is it 😅

Its your birthday weekend isn't it? Be extra kind to yourself and tell hubby you deserve to be waited on hand and foot 😉😏

Hey all. Can I join?

DS is 2.5, we've been TTC #2 for nearly 9 months, although my periods only came back then so took some settling. It didn't take long with our first, so I've been a bit surprised this time, plus all of my mum friends are pregnant or have a baby, so I'm constantly surrounded.

5DPO today. No real symptoms but I didn't get any even during pregnancy with my first until 20 weeks or so, so I'm trying not to count myself out... I seem to have a lot of optimism each month until I'm not pregnant and then I'm crushed.

I'm tempted to test at 8dpo even though I know it's not the best idea 😅

I know right! Think it's finally over now but feeling a bit anxious about it as my apps are predicting my fertile window to start on Tuesday and we've just not DTD this cycle at all due to my period being all over the place. Haven't even ovulated yet this month and already worried and believing I'm out 😩

No special plans, but little man was staying with his grandparents so we managed to get loads of smaller jobs done around the house, small victories 😅

Hello! You're more than welcome here 😊

No symptoms till 20 weeks! Wow! I think that's around the time my morning sickness came back for round 2 😅
It's so hard being around people who are expecting/with baby, I know how you feel. Hopefully you find some comfort in this thread, these lovely ladies have given me so much support and have helped me feel a lot less lonely!

Sorry, forgot to mention and for some reason I can't edit - I've found easy@home brilliant. Obviously I'm yet to have a positive on a pregnancy test but I've found that they don't become absolutely flooded like some other brands and if their ovulation tests are anything to go by, they give such nice clear lines and don't even take that long to show. I'd definitely recommend their ovulation tests at least, jury is still out on pregnancy tests 😅

I'll have a look

Glad the weather has at least been lovely this weekend
I'm even more confused
So was due Friday nothing arrived, but my watch which changed my ovulation date to the 24th moved my AF day to today so sat on edge waiting to see if anything arrives as I calculated myself as 12dpo and we had a vvvvv faint line this morning so now I don't know if it's faint cos I'm having a CP or faint as I'm so early on. It's so complicated, I wil say Thursday which was 8dpo I had cramps like I was starting my period which never arrived, so now I'm wondering if they're implantation signs or if my period is just coming in which case arrive already so I know and can start the next month!

Eatsleepbakerepeat · 06/05/2024 18:57

@2BabyOrNot2Baby @cheeseycrumpets my AF arrived today, so after a very weird cycle I have my answer
Going to go Dr's tomorrow and get a referral to the recurrent miscarriage clinic
See what our next step is

How are you getting on?

OP posts:
2BabyOrNot2Baby · 06/05/2024 19:20

Ah I'm so sorry lovely, you've certainly been put through the ringer this cycle 😔 hopefully next cycle goes a lot smoother for you and you get support with tomorrow's appt.

I'm currently CD16 but as I was still off/on up until a few days ago, I'm completely lost. We've not DTD at all, either. Premom is predicting my fertile window to start tomorrow, whilst Flo is predicting Friday. I know they're just guesstimations but I feel so low and like I've wasted an entire cycle. Husband and I are currently at loggerheads also, so think this month is a complete write off to be honest. Possibly even the end of TTC #2 😔
