I've noticed a lot of us TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other 💕💕

@mamataylor Hope everything went well for you today 💖

Thank you lovely. It went perfectly! Baby bean is due 31st January! It was so lovely to see a wriggling little baby on screen 🥰 feels like we can start to get excited now! Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow - please let us know how it goes ❤️❤️

@2BabyOrNot2Baby and @jellyfish2 thank you both so much for your encouragement and support. I’m trying my best to stay positive today 💪 I haven’t had any more spotting since the small amount yesterday afternoon and I took a test today which had a dark line straight away.
I rang the EPU and they've asked me to come in for a scan on Weds. I’m a bit concerned that this will be too early to see anything definitive as I’ll only be 5+2, so I think I need to be prepared to sit with uncertainty for a while.

Sending you lots of love & luck for Wednesday ❤️

jellyfish2 · 22/07/2024 20:24

@mamataylor congratulations 🥰 glad it went well! You'll feel a huge sense of relief.

Thank you so much ❤️ yes I definitely feel better having had the 12 week scan! It feels like I’ve reached a milestone. Hope you’re doing ok xx

cheeseycrumpets · 22/07/2024 21:46

@mamataylor thank you and wonderful news about your scan today ❤️🎉 Its just magical when you can see them flipping and wriggling away in there!

Ooh how exciting! I hope despite the wriggly-ness you were able to get a gorgeous little picture - I had to do my 12 week scan twice first time round as baby was a little too wriggly 🙈 feels a little more real when you see them looking more like a baby doesn't it 🥰 thank you! I'll be sure to let you know! 💖

It's been a while since I've been here - I've been struggling after the loss a few months ago - but I've just seen all the updates.

Congratulations @Eatsleepbakerepeat, @mamataylor, @cheeseycrumpets and anyone I've missed! Amazing news for you all.

mamataylor · 23/07/2024 10:23

thank you @cheeseycrumpets ❤️

thinking of you today @2BabyOrNot2Baby! My scan pictures aren’t the best as I was naughty and didn’t go in with an incredibly full bladder 🫣 the sonographer was so lovely though and tried to get the best pictures she could 😂

@YouveGotAFastCar thank you ❤️ sorry to hear you’re struggling after your loss. It’s really not easy 😔 sending you lots of love x

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 24/07/2024 13:04

@mamataylor Thank you so much! I was the same and didn't go with a full bladder 😬 so I feel you on picture quality! Baby #2 is due Feb 3rd!
I also have to be under a specialist midwife as I've previously had spinal surgery and it's completely up to them in terms of safest delivery, so baby may be arriving sooner than anticipated!

@cheeseycrumpets I hope today goes smoothly for you 💖

cheeseycrumpets · 25/07/2024 07:30

@YouveGotAFastCar I’m so sorry you’ve been struggling after your loss. It’s hard to grieve when you also desperately want to move forward to good news. TTC after loss really intensifies the rollercoaster of emotions so please make sure you’re doing little things to look after yourself every day. Always here if you need a chat and sending you the biggest hug ❤️

@2BabyOrNot2Baby so glad you had a good scan even if pics weren’t the best and very exciting to have a due date!

cheeseycrumpets · 25/07/2024 13:24

Thank you to everyone for their good thoughts ahead of my scan yesterday! I think it really helped because it went better than I could’ve hoped. I was able to see that things had progressed further than they ever did for my MMC and the doctor said she could see the heartbeat flicker which shocked me! She kept trying to point it out but I never really saw what she was talking about (very happy to take her word for it though). They’ve also put me on progesterone for the next 10 weeks which is meant to support pregnancies in women who have had prior losses so I’m glad I went in. I know nothing is certain and it’s still very early, but it was great to have some good news!

Thank you all again for being so lovely and supportive ❤️

Eatsleepbakerepeat · 25/07/2024 14:21

I'm so sorry for the late response all!
Had my scan last Friday and all was good meant to be 6+3 and measured 6+1 which is good! And we had a heartbeat.
I am just exhausted and nauseous all the time currently but I keep saying to my partner it's all I've wanted for 7 months so I'm embracing it!
I have another scan next Friday and praying everything is good with that, I might then actually relax a bit more

Fantastic news! The nausea is hard going isn’t it, but it’s a massive positive as clearly your hormones are doing their thing 🥰

cheeseycrumpets · 25/07/2024 15:45

@Eatsleepbakerepeat wonderful news, so glad you had a great scan! I hope the nausea and exhaustion eases up soon ❤️

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 06/08/2024 11:29

@cheeseycrumpets oh how lovely! What an amazing bit of news, so glad everything went well for you ☺️ How are you doing now?

@Eatsleepbakerepeat ah I really hope the nausea has started to ease up a little bit, it really is hard work, but as they say it's worth it ☺️ how did your second scan go?

I hope everyone is doing alright and the all-over-the-place weather is treating you all well 🥰

Hi,
I know this thread is a few months old, but I’ve just come across it as I’m heading into cycle 8 of TTC baby 2, after conceiving my first (who’s now aged 3, almost 4) on month two.
I am feeling hopeless about it all and worried it will just never happen.
Wondered how you are all doing now?
It was reassuring to read back over these old posts and see many of you finally get your BFPs.
I’m 32 so I know I have time on my side but find it hard not to think negatively. Trying acupuncture this month and hope at the very least that might reduce my anxiety.
Would be great to hear from the OPs about how you’re doing and also anyone else currently in the same boat too.
take care
x

jellyfish2 · 11/10/2024 08:49

@HopefulForBabyTwo I'm now 18 weeks after having a MMC in February. So far so good. TTC is so tough. I can't remember if I wrote on this thread about it but on cycle 4 after the miscarriage I used preseed and that's the one where I got my bfp. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not but someone else tried it and messaged to say she got her bfp too so maybe worth a shot. Hope you get a positive test soon!

Hi! So sorry to hear you're struggling, but please don't give up hope! I'm currently 23 weeks with #2. It took a year with my first and 6 months with this baby to get my BFP and it most definitely is an exhausting and mentally draining journey to be on, but it's worth it! Another lady I've spoken to on a different thread started acupuncture and she said it helped her anxieties, so I hope it does the same for you 😊

Also I don't know if this would've made a difference, but I was actually pretty under the weather the month I conceived, so I'd taken benylin for it (don't know if you've read up about the mucinex trick? benylin is pretty much the UK version) and got a faint positive about 8-9 days later! It could just be coincidence entirely or it could've had a helping hand, I'll never know. We'd only actually DTD maybe twice, neither of which were on my actual ovulation day, I think it was 1-2 days before, so was writing it off and going to try again the next month! Wishing you all the luck in the world x

HopefulForBabyTwo · 13/10/2024 17:19

Thanks so much for your kind replies @jellyfish2 and @2BabyOrNot2Baby and I am so pleased to hear about your pregnancies 😊
It really is an exhausting journey, but you're right that it’s totally worth it. Seeing others having gone through the same range of emotions as I’ve been, but then coming out the other end with a BFP, is so helpful.
Will have a try of preseed and benylin this month, why not eh!
