I've noticed a lot of us TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other 💕💕

Ladies, I don't know what to do.
I've been experiencing pretty bad cramps tonight and they're actually making me feel sick. My apps are saying I'm 5 weeks + 2. I've just looked at my local EPU and they're saying they assess pregnancies from 6 weeks onwards. I actually visited them with my first at around 4 weeks (but thought I was further along), will they see me if I contact them or is it not worth bothering? I'm panicking a lot little 😅

So sorry you’re having cramps and sickness 😩 you could actually say you’re 6 weeks? You’re only 5 days shy anyway so I really don’t think they could turn you away. 100% contact them if you’re concerned. Let us know how you get on x

Ahh I was thinking of doing this but thought they'd catch me out when asking about my last period. I can usually withstand cramps pretty well, but these are absolutely awful. I've had a cry to my husband about it and he said the same as you. I am actually getting more and more worried as time is going on so will definitely be calling them first thing. Thank you x

@2BabyOrNot2Baby I would definitely call them tomorrow and just see what they say ❤️ I’m so sorry you’re in pain and having to deal with the uncertainty and stress of cramping. If it’s worrying you then please do contact them.
I think they probably say 6wks as that is when they’d expect to see something more definitive on a scan and if it’s earlier they might have to ask you to wait a few days and come back for more information. Lots of people are unsure of dates and not tracking as obsessively as we are though so I think you could just say you’re around 6wks but not sure of your lmp date. Hope you get some rest and will be thinking of you xx

Thank you, I'll definitely give them a call. I've had sharp pains down below and (tmi sorry) keep feeling quite damp? But when I've checked there's been absolutely nothing there so it is weirding me out a little 🙃 I'll tell them I'm unsure of lmp!

So it was an absolute waste of time. I've been on hold all day and spent a total of 7hrs 44 mins very slowly moving up the queue, to spend an hour and a half at #1, only for it to cut off. I really want to cry. I think I may just go there first thing in the morning, pains kind of eased up a little but been having stabbing pains all day 🫠

Oh my gosh @2BabyOrNot2Baby, over 7 hours?!? That sounds awful. Which part of the country are you? Definitely go in tomorrow and see what they can do, especially if you’re worried about the pains.

They didn’t, I told my best friend as she’d have guessed straight away but the other girls 100% just thought I was incredibly boring 😂😂 I just told them in a slow drinker and had appletiser in a Prosecco glass. All the other girls were way too drunk to suspect anything 😅 xx

In total, yeah 😅 the longest being 5 hours 😩 We're just gonna go and try our luck today and hope we get seen. I tested this morning (against my better judgement!) and the line was fainter so I've definitely scared myself now 🙃 We're in Liverpool and honestly, they were so good when I was having my son, the longest I'd usually have to wait is about an hr on hold. I shouldn't be surprised after the post the other day regarding our A&E department 🥴

I guess that's the perk about it being a hen - everyone will soon enough forget after a few 🤣 hope you had a lovely night! Xx

That’s crazy!! Let me know how you get on, hope you manage to get seen! Also, doesn’t the hook effect kick in around now? It may possibly be that you have too much HCG in your system?

So, they can't give an answer 😅
They're confident it's nothing like an ectopic, examined me but can't exactly pinpoint what's going on. They were also going to carry out an ultrasound but were already so backlogged and should've been done hours before so I've been given an appointment for Monday morning. Also been advised to stay away from Google but much easier said than done 🫣

I've actually never heard of that before so definitely does make me feel a bit better about this morning's test xx

Ah, sorry you’re not much further forward with what’s going on 😩 reassuring they don’t think it’s an ectopic, I expect that was a big worry of yours. Fingers crossed all goes ok on Monday, hope time passes fast for you between now and then ♥️

It actually wasn't up until today. Kinda forgot that they exist (blissfully ignorant, I know 🫣), suddenly remembered and panicked a little. I'm glad it's a morning appointment, at least it will come around a little faster 🤣 she was talking about bloods needing to be done and such but said that it will be assessed on Monday whether it's worth doing as she didn't want to overwhelm me with info - probably a good thing tbh!

Oh god I know, as she was talking I was thinking 'I'm gonna look this up later', then she told me not to. Was like she read my mind haha

So I'm OK, a little broken, taking some time off work, the hardest part is the line progression, the below picture I'd 2 dayd apart and it's just so much stronger so it hurts even more knowing the news on Monday will be bad, I'm just praying it's not an ectopic, that is all I'm hoping for at this point!

I never ever even considered it with my first but now I think about it regularly in this first trimester 🙈 I know it’s so rare but I panic I’ll be the 1% or whatever the % is!
Yes that’s it. Plan something nice for the weekend to take your mind off it and it’ll be here before you know it.
You’re welcome, the first trimester is lonely as it is, let alone with all these worries too.
It’s ok so far thank you, except for the overwhelmingly sore boobs & occasional nausea xx

Are you 100% sure it's going to be a bad outcome? Surely the darker lines would indicate otherwise? I'm sorry, I wish I knew more on this to be more helpful. What did the doctor/nurses say?
