I've noticed a lot of us TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other 💕💕

That's how I've looked at it, I've taken it up as a hobby at this point! I hardly ever see anyone I know when out shopping, but I can guarantee that the moment I'm even near a pregnancy test, everyone I've ever breathed the same air as will be around 🫣 xx

that’s always the way isn’t it. Are you planning on an early scan? I’m toying with the idea as we’re off abroad when I’m supposed to be 7-8 weeks and want the reassurance before we fly! Xx

Just had some red spotting so I think that’s me out for the month. I need to somehow stop getting my hopes up so high in the TWW!

Ahhh I honestly don't know. I had a few early scans at EPU with my boy due to unexplained bleeding so don't know if I'd be able to stomach it 😬 will definitely be putting some thought into it! I do completely understand your reasoning though, at that point a heartbeat would be picked up too 🥹 xx

Sorry to hear this 😔 I keep everything crossed that it’s just implantation. It’s so hard not to get your hopes up when you want something so much. It’s like you try and protect your feelings but come around the time AF is due it’s hard not to keep that glimmer of hope x

Oh I absolutely understand your reservations then. Yes, I did read that online. Ideally I’d like to wait until 8 weeks but that’ll be slap bag in the middle of our holiday! I picked up a two pack of CB digitals today - planning to use next week once my period is actually late on Monday 🤞 xx

Thank you @2BabyOrNot2Baby and @mamataylor ❤️ it’s definitely a proper flow and darker so I’m not going to let myself go down the implantation wishful thinking route this time. That’s always very tempting to me especially since my periods are super short! Time for a new cycle so onwards and upwards 🤞

Finally got pregnant in April 2022 after 19 months of trying hard, husband had morphology 1-2%. We now have an amazing 17month old.
Started trying again in Jan 2024 so we've had 4 cycles and I'm so fed up already, some of my Mum friends from first time round have started making pregnancy announcements and its getting me down.
I know I should be grateful that I have a perfect child but I'm desperate for no2 and just worry its just not going to happen.

Thank you @2BabyOrNot2Baby @mamataylor and @Eatsleepbakerepeat for checking in and being so lovely! We’re still away and it’s gorgeous and a great distraction. I know it will be our turn for another one day, just working on letting go of expectations ❤️

Welcome lovely, it’s such a hard road but you’re in the right place! This thread is very supportive and understanding. Totally understand the feeling of appreciating your healthy and happy little one while also hoping so hard for another ❤️ Did you try anything specific before getting pregnant with number 1?

Where are you ok holiday? Hopefully somewhere with some sun ☀️ I’m glad it’s helping you relax and be a little more distracted.
I’m ok thank you! I’m only 4+1, found out super early 🫣 not too many symptoms, a little tired, sore boobs & a bit of nausea but all manageable the moment. I anticipate them all to kick in full force in a couple of weeks time! I’m off on holiday when I’ll be 7.5 weeks and I dread that I’ll be ill 🙃 xx

Welcome ♥️ I completely relate that it’s so hard seeing mum friends announce or having their seconds - it’s happened with so many of mine and I’ve only just fallen with our second after almost a year of trying with a loss in the middle. Take some comfort in knowing that you know you can get pregnant and carry a healthy baby to term so it is overwhelmingly likely that you’ll go on to have a second baby when the time is right for you. I think I actually did step back a little bit this month and tried to just let whatever was going to happen, happen. I was pretty poorly around ovulation so I didn't stress too much about things because I thought I'd leave it and start fresh next month. Same thing happened with #1. Sometimes you just need to take a more laid back relaxed approach, as hard as I know that is. I'm keeping everything crossed for you, you've been such a lovely and amazing support for me, you absolutely deserve it ❤️

I actually keep forgetting that I am, and it's making me feel sooo guilty? I only remember when I feel a bit nauseous or crampy but I think it may heavily be down to nobody knowing yet 🥴 hope you're doing well xx

You can be grateful for the family you have, and still want to expand. Please don't feel like you're doing anything wrong, it's a very easy thing to get wrapped up in, I think we've probably all been there! You're in the best place here, these ladies have been so so lovely, kind and supportive to everyone x

Please could I also join. We’ve got a 2.5yo, conceived in early 2021 after trying for four months. This time it’s been six months and feeling very much like @FinallyPregnant2022 worrying that it’s never going to happen.

i know six months isn’t long in the grand scheme of things but it’s hard when it feels like everyone’s already given birth to their second or are pregnant.

Little update my hcg only rose to 48 so a 15% increase
They want me in Monday for scan and bloods, think I know this is heading for a miscarriage but the waiting is a killer
Especially as my testa are stronger, goes to show you can't trust then for line progression
I feel a bit broken now and just want the inevitable to start

I have been thinking about how you were getting on. Sorry to hear it’s not good news. It never gets any easier with losses 💔 thinking of you x
