ah I feel you after six early miscarriages over the four year time I’ve been there. Tried fertility reflexology this last month just to try keep the stress erc down. Fingers crossed this is your month :)

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 09:54

My backstory is slightly different, I was told I couldn't have kids then found out I was pregnant by accident. Unfortunately lost that child then got with my current partner and we want kids, over 2 years together not one single positive pregnancy test. I wanted help from doctors about symptoms I was having due to long cycles and aside from one internal ultrasound where they said everything was fine and trying me on Metformin to lose weight they did nothing to help. No judgement please but I ended up and still do self medicate and now actually do get high LH results and things like that as well as a shorter cycle so my side effects of long cycles are now gone. I do wish you heaps of luck on your baby journey.

Throughout my four years last summer i finally got looked out they found I have endometriosis so had a laparoscopy for removal but it can obvs grow back quick so it’s very very hard. I feel your pain. It feels impossible 😭

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 09:58

I'm so sorry to hear that, us women aren't supported nearly anywhere the amount we should be. Are you uk based?

I had scans erc through the years to investigate but told no issues keep trying and move on erc. Wasn’t until the Lap they found endo as never showed on any other tests.

Panda101x · 12/02/2024 09:59

Yep I’m uk x

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 10:03

Wow that's quite something. It's good that even though it took a while the doctors eventually referred you for a test. Doctors won't do anything like that for me. All I get is basically lose weight and keep trying for a child naturally as there's no evidence of anything wrong

OP posts:
Panda101x · 12/02/2024 10:07

:(. It’s horrific isnt it

I was told it’s me it’s me. Stress. I need relax. Best thing I can do for endo is get pregnant. I was like hang on a minute. I’m struggling here. Had many losses can I have more tests. Ivf help or go on the wait. List. NOPE.

i do feel very alone in it. I get a lot of jealousy to others who conceive ok and it works out. My friendship group has reduced down to those that have no children as it hurts so bad seeing others.

it feels like a game of if I had loads of money I could pay and make it work but I’m not in that situation. So it feels like the worst game ever where I just always literally lose.

i have given fertility reflexology a go. As I’m trying all sorts now. I’ve notning left to lose. And it’s cheaper and more budgetable.

take all the vitamins etc.

it’s just hard to keep plodding on really. And being told keep trying.

being told you must lose weight must be horrible to hear I’m so sorry your being treated this way. If allowed as not sure how this site works I’m open to private messaging if need it.

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 10:14

@Panda101x honestly it's a shit show really. I do the same as you take all the vitamins and supplements. I even purchased fertility medication from abroad online and do take that which is what I meant by self medicating. I felt so unsupported that I felt the reward would be greater than the risk if the medication came and they did and I've had no issues to date. I wouldn't say I'm actually 'too big' for fertility treatment. I'm around 15-16 stone it varies so quickly, I have other health conditions that prevent me being able to exercise but I also have PCOS and it's since I was diagnosed with this that the weight thing became very obvious. I don't eat particularly badly, I don't drink, I don't smoke, I do try and get on one of those vibration plates as frequently as I can to keep moving but still it's not good enough. I just can't seem to fall pregnant, I track LH, bbt and saliva for ferning. I have sex quite frequently with my partner, he's also done an at home sperm analysis test with came back positive. I don't know what more I can do, do you have any hints and tips for actually conceiving that may help me?

OP posts:
Panda101x · 12/02/2024 10:21

Oh god. That weight sounds fine really and pcos doesn’t help so they should be supportive there for sure. I’m off food shopping st moment sorry bad timing as we’re mid chat. I will have a think what I do. Jot it down and send it to you. although I don’t do mad diets etc as I know I’d get depressed

my partners gp is rubbish so haven’t had. Semen analysis. We’re going to pay for one. Speak soon :).

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 13:48

@Panda101x yea the support for me was terrible, I tried explaining the symptoms I was having and tried saying I needed something to happen as it was effecting more than just me, my moods were being taken out on my partner, he'd know instantly when I'd passed day 31 of my cycle it's like I became someone else. I hope shopping was fun.

I’ve sent you a message :)

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 16:54

I've been trying to access my messages but I can't unfortunately. I can only keep the chat going on here sadly.

Ah that’s a shame I sent a long message about what I do as I’d rather not broadcast it entirely on here.

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 17:08

I completely understand just unfortunately this doesn't let me access messages for some reason.

I tend to make sure diet wise I am as healthy as I can. I’ve cut out fizzy drinks maybe one or two colas a month. I don’t drink tea or coffee. I make sure I drink same amount of water /squash a day to keep body balanced and consistent as I get on better than way. Otherwise If I did two bottles on a Monday. Four on a Tuesday. One on a Wednesday I’m all out of whack. So drink wise I am very eager for consistency. Food I have a lot of home cooked stuff not frozen Iceland etc. fresh meat and make sure veg Im no good at five a day but I do try and get a good range of healthy dinners. Breakfast I don’t eat I have an actimel. Lunch is normally small. I don’t have a crazy exercise thing. I do yoga as way relax. Just at home in spare time. And make sure get fresh air everyday for at least 30 mins. I track my cycle on fertility friend using the free version. I just do temperature from when I wake up before I do anything even talking it’s before. I do LH strips track mood any Illnesses CM. And symptoms. I have them all ready for any doctor to look at then and proof I’ve done it. I keep my cleaning products fairly safe and make sure the bad jobs partner does so I limit chemicals. And due to miscarriages I also don’t empty the cat litter tray now unless reallt have to. I’ve been adding more herbs to meals just a sprinkle here and there. And having more of certain things such as asparagus I take folic acid b12 combined and iron tablets as I get low. Then the odd cranberry extract one every so often. And recently the reflexology and that’s made me ovulate much better and this month I’ve felt it so bad. Compared to normal so we’re see what happens. I don’t test anymore till I’m late as it’s to much stress wise otherwise.

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 17:37

@Panda101x I have a very similar sort of way with my day to day life. I now drink the same amount of water daily, cook a lot more food at home over takeaways, I take Pregnacare, folic acid, inositol, maca root as well as Letrozole and Tamoxifen. I track my LH and keep them recorded in a book alongside my BBT, CM, symptoms, bleeding etc. I am careful with cleaning stuff and I try to relax as much as possible. My partner helps around all the time so I don't feel much physical stress and we also moved in together end of last year and we're fighting less, arguing about our relationship instead of things that weren't relevant before, we're more on the same page than ever so I don't mentally stress as much as I did this time last year either. And this cycle had the best LH results I've had, i actually had high/peak LH results for around a week. I was still unsure when and if I ovulated. If i send my chart do you think you would be able to have a peek for me to see what you think?

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 17:44

@Panda101x thank you so much. I really have no idea what I'm looking at. I've whacked my chart and tests on here.

@Panda101x and when I did my tests the morning I had the faintest (think it could be an evap) on my hcg test. I tested just because I think I could have ovulated earlier than the app thinks.

OP posts:
Panda101x · 12/02/2024 17:49

Maybe 13-15 u did I think my charts are on a differ site so not sure layout

Confusedddddddd · 12/02/2024 17:49

Like @Panda101x I'm 1dpo today. Cycle 8 for us now.
I already have one DC conceived in 2021, born in 22 who took us 6 cycles to conceive. I had an ectopic last summer (1st cycle TTC) and had the tube and a large cyst removed. Cyst has come back already. This month I ovulated from the side with the tube and the cyst (I get ovulation pains), I've only ovulated once from that side since the ectopic.

shoegirl36 · 12/02/2024 17:50

I think this cycle is what they called a plateau cycle just because it seemed to take ages for my LH to drop but I'm not certain. I wasn't sure so I'll just keep testing to see what happens
