@Ella31 if your luteal phase is increasing that's hopefully a good sign so if it's not this month I hope it's in the not too distant future x

Definitely. It was at least 11 days brfore my loss. I'm on cycle day 36 now though which is very odd for me. I was always 28-30.

Claudiasaz · 08/02/2024 14:31

Honestly sounds normal @Ella31 My cycles are only just now going back to "normal" (I'm still not sure if they're normal 😂) and it's been 5 months after a mc at 12 week scan, and obviously you've given birth, so your body will be recovering and also the big one -hormones.

I found with my two living children, even feeding really altered my cycles. I didn't have a period the whole time until I stopped, whereas some people I know did. And when they did return, they were all over the place like after mc actually.

So from all of this non medical experience purely anecdotal and personal 😂, I think that anything drastic and hormone altering, can really affect your cycles for some of us but others may just go back to normal right away. Both are normal just maybe some of us are more hormone sensitive.

I feel like I'll end up being a bloody expert after all the researching I do 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 hope that helps reassure you on cycles though xxx

ThelastRolo20 · 08/02/2024 15:04

@Ella31 like @Claudiasaz I think this is really normal, it's only been a couple of cycles and your body is still figuring itself out. Very frustrating when you just want to TTC as soon as possible, but unfortunately our minds and bodies move at different paces xx

Ella31 · 08/02/2024 16:13

@Claudiasaz and @ThelastRolo20 can I just say how lovely your replies have been. I've been so stressed and anxious about this and I actually just enjoyed a coffee there and feel much more relaxed. Thank you 🥰

ThelastRolo20 · 08/02/2024 16:41

@Ella31 ah I'm so glad to here you managed to relax, even if just for a few minutes :) we all understand the emotions that come with TTC after loss, and the frustration when our bodies don't behave as we would like! Hopefully you get some clarity over the next few days - whether it's AF or a positive that arrives! (obviously hoping for the latter for you!) x

@ThelastRolo20 do you know what even if af arrives , I think I'll be ok. I've had perspective today. 12 weeks is such a short time since my loss. You ladies are amazing. Looking forward to join you and support you all on your journeys

Ncl31 · 08/02/2024 16:50

@Ella31 the group of ladies on here and very supportive. I have to say they’ve helped me chill too.

miamiamia869 · 08/02/2024 17:23

@Ella31 I can't belive people have said to you after what you have been through. I still have tough days now 3 months on from a missed misscarrsgr at 12 weeks. To Bury your own babies is a whole differsnt level of grief. I am sure the worst there possibly could be. You have been through so much and sound like you are doing well. Give yourself as much time as you need.

It is such a lovely thread isn't It. I too feel so much better speaking in here then to my friends. (Altjough I never shared my mc) it's something about people understanding from experience.

Also my lutueral phase does seem shorter too. Before mc I could easily have been a week sometimes. Now it always comes early. I think only now 3 months later are My horses starting to get back to normal, but as discussed here some of us seem to be loads more cramping through the whole luteral phase since mc.

Xxx

@Claudiasaz I knew the reason I felt rubbish yesterday was due to hormones. It's a lot fainter today!

hi ladies, please may I join? So sorry for all of your previous losses ♥️

I'm in cycle 3 of TTC #2 after a miscarriage at 9 weeks in November. I want this sooo much and it’s all I can think about once my period ends!

hoping it happens for us all soon 🤞 this ttc journey is so different once you’ve suffered a loss x

miamiamia869 · 08/02/2024 20:10

@mamataylor welcome and sorry for your loss. Same. Its pretty much all I think about each month especially the awful 2ww lol.

I hope this too xx

Claudiasaz · 08/02/2024 20:40

@ThelastRolo20 That's great I'm so pleased for you..hope you're ok. It's the worst having to keep doing those bloody tests. X

@mamataylor I'm sorry for your loss and finding yourself here! Definitely feel your pain there! You'll be in good company 😂

Shit @ThelastRolo20 sorry is that from your loss, apologies. Just realised my error. I'm such an idiot

ThelastRolo20 · 08/02/2024 21:32

@Ella31 sorry to be confusing, it's not for a positive pregnancy, I'm waiting for a negative after my miscarriage so I'm wanting it to go in the other direction.

I'm not TTC again until April/ May x

ThelastRolo20 · 08/02/2024 21:40

@Ella31 oh please don't worry - very easy mistake to make! Hopefully the next one I post in a few months time will be the real deal 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

RaisingCornishWildlings · 08/02/2024 21:48

@Ella31 @emmatcc1 @mamataylor welcome to you all and so sorry you find yourselves here- but hopefully this fabulous bunch of ladies will be a support and comfort for you.

I feel like my PMS/potential pregnancy symptoms have ramped up over the course of today... vague nausea, aching around hips and slightly lower back, a bit constipated, slightly headachy and kind of groggy feeling a lot of the day.
I've never temped before when cycle tracking but I do know that the usual baseline for me (if I'm checking thermometer when kids are poorly etc, to make sure it's Reading accurately!) is 36.8. However the last few days I've been around 37.1-37.3 ish, so wondering if it's a positive sign! As always, trying not to read too much into anything and I'm deliberating whether to POAS in the morning! I'll be 11DPO tomorrow, and AF according to Flo is due Saturday. (Since mc, af has arrived 12dpo for last 3 months)

To test or not to test 🤣🤣

Lol, thank you. On the hcg front. I think it took around 3 weeks for mine to fade postpartum so you won't be waiting too long on that front. It's great when it does, it's like another step in the right direction.

emmatcc1 · 08/02/2024 22:48

I had some more cramping earlier and passed another clot not big but not that small either. I hope everything has cleared out. I’m feeling much better today and now I’m stuck between ttc right after or waiting for the first period. I heard the first af can be heavy with big clots as well.

That's a good temperature. I'd test but that's just me because I'm weak 🤣

The symptoms sound good too. Do you normally feel this way before AF. I've been cramping on and off but usually af arrives quickly. I'm actually asking my doc for a hcg blood test tomorrow as I've been getting vvfl on clearblues for 4 days with no progression and I had spotting 4 days ago which isn't normal for me.

Do whatever feels right @emmatcc1 , my doctor after my first mc had no issue with me trying again as long as I was ready.

My first period after my early mc last August was actually fine. Nothing bad from what I remember so don't be too worried. I think it took 8 weeks for my cycle to return. But it does vary as I had a chemical a few months later where I was much less further along and it took longer to ovulate after that than it did with my early mc, so it really does vary.

mamataylor · 09/02/2024 07:13

@emmatcc1 so sorry you’re going through this. It’s so hard on your mental health and it took me a few weeks to get my head around it! My first period was also fine too and it returned 3.5 weeks after my D&C x

ThelastRolo20 · 09/02/2024 07:21

@RaisingCornishWildlings I wouldn't be able to resist! Especially at 11 DPO.... Good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻

TeapotRo · 09/02/2024 07:47

Hi all, please can I join?
I'm so sorry for all your losses.

I had surgical management yesterday following a missed miscarriage at just over 10weeks. It had stopped growing only shortly before. I had a complication in that they said there was a lot in there to remove and I bled excessively during the op as they tried to remove it all but luckily it turned out okay and I was allowed home the same day, just much later on and after extra blood tests and another Dr review. Despite the complication, it was actually relatively pleasant, as much as it can be with it being an awful thing to go through. The staff were all lovely, the pain after just felt like my usual period cramps and I only bled heavily for a short time afterwards. Also the memory box and teddy I was given were so sweet.

It all feels a little confusing now though as there's no sort of follow up or chance to ask further questions, just contact them if my tests aren't negative by 3 weeks.

I didn't ask about trying again and they didn't tell me anything, but a big part of me wants to try straight away without waiting for a period first but I don't know if this is a bad idea. The main reason I've seen to wait for a period is for dating purposes but an early scan or two can do that. I just feel that if this keeps happening then I shouldn't waste time.
