Paws4thought · 19/02/2024 14:03

Not good news today, they couldn't see a heart beat so have booked for mva Friday, I've asked them to rescan before the mva for peace of mind although I know there's no chance. They said there was about 4 days growth.

Sez281 · 19/02/2024 14:12

Oh @Paws4thought I'm so so sorry 😒 I can only imagine what you're going through.. I know we've all been there before but it doesn't make it any easier 😒 It'll probably take a while to process everything, we're always here if you need to talk πŸ’” xxx

Oh my darling I'm so sorry to hear this. 😞 Absolutely rubbish. Sending you a massive hug. Don't blame you at all wanting the rescan just for peace of mind. As Sez said, we're all here for you when you need us. Nothing makes this easier though does it. Lots of love to you. Hope your real life friends and family are able to support you at this time. πŸ’•

Supertrooper101 · 19/02/2024 15:38

@Paws4thought i dont know what to say πŸ₯Ί.... you were right to push it for a scan though and this is why i think earlyer scans should be routine. What if this is a missed one and you found out at 12wks cos they kept saying its ok πŸ™. Hope youve got some support around you x

Hankthehonk · 19/02/2024 15:53

Oh no @Paws4thought I'm so so sorry to read this. Heartbroken for you. It's just not fair, I hope you've got lots of love and support around you x

xxcxdonxx · 19/02/2024 17:31

@Paws4thought i’m so very sorry to see your news, I hate how cruel
this process can be. Always here if you need to vent or anything else. Sending you lots of love xx

Westy22 · 19/02/2024 19:06

Oh I'm so so sorry @Paws4thought genuinely gutted for you 😒 I'm thinking of you πŸ’” life is so cruel. We are here if you need to talk xx

Paws4thought · 20/02/2024 08:52

Thanks everyone, although I'd been spotting I honestly thought this pregnancy would be OK.
Hope everyone else gets good news this week.

SnookyPook · 20/02/2024 09:04

@Paws4thought I think that makes it extra hard to process. I was a bit like that with the one that became my MMC so to then lose it was quite a shock as well as everything else. Hope you're doing as ok as can be. Are you feeling ok about Friday? Are you having some time off work? Xx

Paws4thought · 20/02/2024 09:11

@SnookyPook its such a horrible experience, how many mc did you have before this pregmancy? Did they find any reason?
It worries me that both mine stopped at pretty much exact same time, the nurse did mention about referring for a blood test but she said has to be 6 weeks after a negative pregnancy test, sounds daft but that would mean missing a cycle of trying when I might have just been unlucky but then also pointless getting pregnant if theres an issue that means ill lose it.
I think so, nervous about mva just incase any scar tissue forms but it didn't last time and don't want the delay of retained products then mva anyway if went with tablets.

Sez281 · 20/02/2024 11:25

@Paws4thought I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's so absolutely shit, especially when even with the spotting you still have hope 😒. I do think that the mva is probably the right call as there's more certainty that way than waiting for it naturally or medical management. I hope you are taking the next couple of weeks or so off to mind yourself and give yourself time to heal emotionally as well as physically xx

It's a horrible time, I've never had to have a procedure done so have no knowledge of that but it gave me major anxiety at the thought of it due to having biopsies and lasering in the past. How long have you been spotting for now? Is there any sign that your body will start it? they said my cervix was opening when i had the last scan and I started bleeding the same day, however i wasnt at the stage you were at so it may of been easier for my body to kick start. Do what you feel comfortable with ❀️ I wanted to try again straight away due to the nurse saying how fertile i would apparently be, but it took some time for my hormone levels to drop and cycle to resume I would take what you can in terms of tests as the process is very long getting any kind of fertility support x you'll get through this though @Paws4thought ❀️ take some time to process and do things for you, I went full throttle into trying to get back normal, had two days off work and cracked on, it hit me like a tonne of bricks a few weeks later. Xx thinking of you

Supertrooper101 · 20/02/2024 14:16

@Paws4thought what sre the bloods tests for, will it be abit like @xxcxdonxx had done? You will know yourself in a few weeks if you want to wait to ttc or have the bloods.
@Sez281 how are you doing. You finishing work today for your time away. Whst time are you there tomorrow?

I had three losses last year. After the MMC in April I had a CP early September, then fell pregnant again straight away but lost that one at 7 weeks. I then felt like you that I ought to wait until I'd had some investigations as at that point I'd conceived three times fairly easily but lost them all so felt I needed some input before trying again. We were waiting for our referral to the fertility consultant when this little surprise happened. As with the CP, I conceived again straight away after the last MC with no period in between. In effect I've been pregnant pretty much non-stop since end of August!! Madness. I'm not quite sure how long it would have taken me to psych up for officially trying again if this hadn't happened. I think it initially added to my anxiety a bit that we'd not yet seen the fertility clinic and there might be a needed tweak to the process .. but this little one seems meant to be. It's all quite random isn't it. Whether or not you wait a cycle or two, I really hope your little rainbow will be on their way soon. ❀️🌈

Sez281 · 20/02/2024 18:30

@Supertrooper101 yep finished work today thank god. Really struggling to keep my eyes open. Also cramps were pretty bad last night so didn't sleep much. I'm starting to think it may be related to the progesterone as I've been reading about side affects and abdominal pain seems to be a common one. If it is I'll just have to suck it up πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I have the scan at 9am tomorrow morning. Dreading it 😣 How are you doing? Did Fybogel ease stuff at all?

OP posts:
Westy22 · 20/02/2024 19:02

Good luck tomorrow @Sez281 ❀️ least it's a nice early app so your not waiting around xx

Supertrooper101 · 20/02/2024 19:05

@Sez281 i never even thought to look at side effects for the pessaries lol dont think i will either as am sure my brain will create them! Fybogel......like de je vu taking it, clearly needed it previously lol but yeah, after 2 days drinking the bitter mank there was movement haha. Got random dull shooting aches in my right hip....not sure what thats about as nothing should ve moving/stretching there πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ... finally rang midwifes today. Probably jinxed things now. Need to shut my brain off lol bet you dont sleep well tonight either from worrying about the scan. What should you be?

Sez281 · 20/02/2024 19:45

Thanks @Westy22 Hope the tww isn't dragging to much 🀞 xx

@Supertrooper101 at least it's got things moving πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ I'd imagine things will be starting to stretch and move a good bit for you now you're around 10 weeks? You've another scan Thursday yeah?

I'll be either 6&5 or 6&6 tomorrow so if there's nothing there then that's it. At least we'll know I guess. I also probably jinxed myself and filled out the booking form for main hospital because there's a backlog apparently so I just said I'd do it in case the scan goes well but not getting hopes up.

SnookyPook · 20/02/2024 19:52

@Supertrooper101 oh goodness - may have to join you on the fybogel! Never had to use it in my last pregnancy but getting a bit backed up at times this time!! Maybe the progesterone pessaries?!? Last night no joke I was on the toilet for about an hour. I was scared to strain too much in case I set off another bleed 😩 In the end I had to go to bed without ahem, finishing my business. So uncomfy!! Oh the glamour of pregnancy!!

@Sez281 will be thinking of you in the morning. I feel every word of what you're writing so deeply, down to not wanting to register etc and all the superstition, telling yourself you're expecting the worst... Hopefully tomorrow you'll be proven wrong. As Westy said, at least it's a nice early appointment. Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight. πŸ’•

Paws4thought · 20/02/2024 20:03

@Sez281 hope all goes well at your scan tomorrow, it's good to be prepared woth the forms filled in :)
@Westy22 I'd been spotting for 2 weeks but typically pretty much nothing yesterday and nothing at all today, they didn't say anything about cervix being open and it had stopped growing last time about the same time and I got to over 11 weeks with no signs before mva, my body seems to cling on. Thank you.
@Supertrooper101 I'm not really sure, she said would check thyroid levels and I'm sure she mentioned sticky blood but I wasn't really in the right frame of mind to listen, I'll ask again Friday tho. Yeah true, I guess see how my body copes.
@SnookyPook you've been through so much this year, I'm glad you've got your happy ending, thank you for sharing. I will see how my body copes but I guess there's no harm trying as might not be lucky straight away in which case I can have the bloods, I don't want another loss but feel like they will do more to help once it's officially recurrent loss.

Supertrooper101 · 20/02/2024 21:04

@SnookyPook haha literaly is a pain in the arse haha defo get some fibrogel. Took two days to kick in but defo worth it! Morrisons had it on offer, 30 sachets for 9 or 5 pd. Chemist wouldnt give me any! Its just so uncomfy isnt it!
@Sez281 get the feeling your expecting the worse tomorrow... how long do you go away for? 🀞 for the morning
@Paws4thought i think its awful woman have to go through 3 loses to get the help they need. 2 max should be enough πŸ™

xxcxdonxx · 20/02/2024 22:46

@Paws4thought been thinking of you, hope you are doing ok.
It’s really hard because although we get told that a mc is very common, there is always that hope that the next one will be ok.
Hopefully you can get some more info on the bloods and support available to you xx

Sez281 · 21/02/2024 07:00

@Paws4thought I agree, see how your body copes and then decide what to do depending on how you're feeling. The recurrent rule is an absolute joke πŸ˜• xx

@SnookyPook never TMI here lol.. I think the pessaries definitely have a few side affects, it's just hard to know which are normal and which are pregnancy related. I think that's also what's throwing me a bit, so yeah @Supertrooper101 I'm definitely prepared for the worst πŸ˜• The holiday tomorrow is only for 4 days but will be a nice break hopefully 🀞
