That sounds like a plan @Westy22 , a different perspective on everything might give you some new insight and answer some of your questions.
Glad to hear that you are feeling more positive, your schedule sounds very busy 😝
What CD are you on now? Hopefully you see that peak soon.

I’m a bit all over the place just how. It’s CD 16 and I still haven’t had my peak. I have had some ewcm and some cramps so I don’t know if I’ve somehow missed it or if it’s just given up. I started pregnacare this month and I’ve read that can delay things, anyone else had that experience? I think I’ll stop that for a few days anyway and see if I get my peak. I’m due to start the progesterone pessaries CD18 but I’ll see if I get my peak and start 3dpo instead.

Good news is that I have got somewhere with my consultant. Called again last week (stalker) and they have sent me out a letter with some info. Advice is to be retested for sticky blood in 12 weeks and if positive then I would be on aspirin and a daily injection of something I can’t remember the name of until birth. She also advised not to TTC until the second blood results as pregnancy can skew the results. However if I did find myself pregnant then to start the aspirin and injections anyway. I also had an appointment for gynaecology come through, I assume it’s for a scan etc. as that’s what was discussed at my first appointment. The appointment is for 31st Dec….so a bit a wait for that one 🫠

We are off on holiday next week with my family so I’m just hoping that I get my peak before we go and then all I have to worry about is dealing with the leakage from these pessaries 🫣

Is it tinzaparin? I'll be on it in 3rd trimester due to family history of DVT... That's a crazy wait for the gynae appointment - agree with Westy - ring for cancellations! But good that things are moving forwards and nice to have some options etc. Hope you get your peak soon too.

@Sez281 oh bless you it's all so unnerving isn't it. As you say, can be completely normal for them to come and go. Hopefully your bloods will provide reassurance πŸ’•

xxcxdonxx · 13/02/2024 09:26

No idea why it is such a long wait, that’s a good shout to ring for cancellations @Westy22

Just checked the letter and it’s Herapin injections she has advised to take @SnookyPook @Sez281 , I’ll stock up on the aspirin now at least so I have something if I need it.

That’s a good idea for bloods @Sez281 if it gives you some reassurance, we are so aware of every sign and symptom that it can be worrying when they change. Hopefully it’s a quick turnaround for you.

Supertrooper101 · 13/02/2024 09:35

@xxcxdonxx 31st dec, wow, whats all that about lol i come across somthing on tommys about someone who gad miscarrage one after another. Her sticky blood only showed when she had bloods done whilst pregnant (she didnt know) also a t cell, killer cell or somthing. Basically she was to have injections and aspirin from 6wks at a viable scan and baby never stuck. So she took it upon herself to start both as soon as she got a bfp and it worked. Is this other 'cell' thing somthing you or @Westy22 could maybe ask about? You might have to find it on tommys case ive got it wrong but its somthing av never heard of and she kept having alot of loses ..... maybe a waste of a message all that but just wanted to share case it helped anyone lol bloody leaking pessaries πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ no way could i have them up my bottom @Sez281 haha......i would totally be getting the bloods too! What we have been thr with the mmc makes every little thing scary to us so do whatever you need to for peace of mind.

Westy22 · 13/02/2024 12:38

Sooo appointment was interesting lol my results they consider fine, hormone levels good only one that triggered the satisfactory is my red blood cells are slightly larger than normal so I'll Google that in a bit lol but she said that's not really a cause for concern.

She won't give me any drugs to try as she said the clinic needs to do that. So that's annoying.

She did tell me that I need to loose half a stone 🀣 to be in the best bracket for fertility help in June. She said my bmi is slightly over where it needs to be and doesn't want the clinic to send me away just because of that 🐷

SnookyPook · 13/02/2024 13:05

@Westy22 that sounds like a bit of a cop out just the old 'lose some weight'. Easy win for the GP isn't it!! I guess it's both good and bad there was nothing more obvious they could help with/suggest.

@Sez281 have you had your bloods done yet?

What does everyone think about nub theory? I've always been sceptical (mainly cos I've never known what the hell people are seeing!) But looking online there may be something to it. I sent a couple of my scan pics to a group on FB and they've all conclusively come back as boy so we'll see! I genuinely don't mind either way - feel another boy would be less daunting in a way as I'm used to boy bits now πŸ˜‚

Westy22 · 13/02/2024 13:13

Yeah I thought tbh she wasn't much help, she kept saying to relax...then said she knows that's the worst someone can say as she's had MC..so I was like why did you say it then?!

I guess other than waiting for the clinic appointment and the OHs sperm results there's not much I can do in the meantime other than work on being healthy. I'm tall so carry weight well but I'm at my heaviest atm so a few pounds off won't harm me lol x

I have no idea on the NUB theory @SnookyPook do you think you'll find out? I'd love a surprise but then I like planning ahead so the pain of not knowing what to buy would annoy me!

Sez281 · 13/02/2024 13:22

@Westy22 unless your BMI is in the obese category I really wouldn't worry too much. I agree that doctors sometimes throw it out too easily. I mean obviously being healhier in general aids conception but I'm still in the overweight category (although I did manage to lose 10lbs in the 3 weeks between my appointment and BFP) That's good that all your other bloods are normal, I guess you just have to wait on OHs now 🀞 Have you got a date for a clinic consult? Sorry if you already said x

@xxcxdonxx definitely no harm having the aspirin on standby just in case 🀞 xx

@SnookyPook Yeah I got the bloods this morning, hopefully results tomorrow. It's actually a bit more of a grey area regarding doubling at this stage (more like 72-96 hours) so I won't be able to figure it out but will be happy if it's risen... of course my nausea and sore boobs came back with a vengeance after πŸ™ˆ I was probably a bit silly getting them as even if hcg does rise it could still be a blighted ovum etc.. god I hate google sometimes 😣 I just need to try relax and get through the next week.

With regards to the nub theory I don't really get it to be honest πŸ€”, more so because I can never see anything on those pics! πŸ˜‚I saw somebody post a "potty shot" one with arrows pointing to the genitalia and still couldn't see it πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚Are you going to find out officially? I'm sure you'll just be delighted once little one is here regardless of if it's a boy or girl πŸ’“ xx

@Westy22 sorry you posted as I was typing abs didn't see it. Can't believe she told you to relax, especially if she's been through it herself 🀨

If everything works out for me there's certain people who told me to relax that I can't wait to say "actually I didn't relax, i was up the walls in work with stress, then we made a conscious effort to give it a serious go in fertile week, plus I went against medical advice and started progesterone before a positive test.. so no I wasn't relaxed" πŸ˜‚

OP posts:
Supertrooper101 · 13/02/2024 15:14

@Westy22 i agree the lose weight was abit of a ...'well ive nothing to offer her so ill just say that' scenario... half a stone isnt much though so i guess its much better than 2stone. If you cant wait till junes appointment and your oh sperm is ok. If you have like a spare 150pd get some bloods done on hertility health so see you through. Alot tested is what is mentioned in 'it starts with the egg' amh, dhea prolactin etc. I thought the service was great too.
@SnookyPook can just imagine you examining your pic trying to find out, u bet the epu could have told you yesterday too lol
@Sez281 relaxing is such a bullshit term to use. I completley think it would help, but completley doubt anyone ttc can honestly say they have been relaxed.... apart from first timers where its been a smooth ride etc. Basically anyone who hasnt experienced a mc. How much were the private bloods? Am suprised they did it the same day, wonder if it works like that over here lol is your scan nxt thursday? Still love the fact you took matters into your hands and started the progesterone lol

Sez281 · 13/02/2024 15:58

@Supertrooper101 it was only €60 so not too bad. I'm done now no more bloods.. it'll be going towards loads of private scans if we make it that far πŸ€ͺ Joking of course πŸ˜‚ I'm back in next Wednesday morning. We're due to fly on hols the Thursday morning so I wanted to find out before we go. I should be 6+6 so if something is there we should see itπŸ™ if not I'll face it when I get back πŸ˜• How are you feeling?

OP posts:
Paws4thought · 13/02/2024 18:02

@Westy22 that's good that results were positive, hopefully sperm will be fine too 🀞 can't imagine half a stone would make a huge difference but as others have said guess Dr needed to give you something.
@xxcxdonxx 31st Dec seems like they wanted be able to say you've got an appt this year even if it's the last day! Definitely worth calling to go on cancelled list tho and it's great they've offered you meds now, hopefully they'll do the trick. Fingers crossed you'll see your peak soon too.
@SnookyPook I've never heard of nubs theory, tbh I can't make much out on scan pics unless it's clearly pointed out to me 🀣
@Supertrooper101 how are your symptoms now? How many weeks are you at next scan?
@Sez281 that's typical your symptoms coming back straight after blood, I didn't realise you can have them done privately so quickly, hopefully next scan will offer some reassurance.

I spoke to gp this morning, she said my scan showed a small bleed adjacent to sac (think sonographer called it a slither of a bruise) so I'm guessing the pressure maybe caused that to bleed which explained fresh blood after scan, I've continued with brown spotting but expected that and going to wait until a week Fri for a private scan incase doing one too soon causes another bleed. She also wouldn't prescribe progesterone and said ask midwife at booking appt Friday.

Supertrooper101 · 13/02/2024 18:31

@Paws4thought i think its bullshit how your getting messed around with progesterone. Your midwife wont authorise it. Its the bloody epu that has too 🀬 that bleed you have is what i had/have.the heamorrage. Nurse said its like a bruise.blood filled type thing. Problem is it can grow and erupt. The place yours is at is quite safe, but my dr told me theres a 50/50 chance of misscarrage. Not to scare you, just repeating what i was told. Take it really easy thats what i was told. Alot online are told to bed rest. Its called a sch for short. Read on ALA ... cheap on amazon and e bay.
@Sez281 am still same as you, worried over every cramp etc.. gona get some bloody fibrogel or whatever its called tomorrow lol

Paws4thought · 13/02/2024 18:51

@Supertrooper101 hope the bleed wasnt it erupting then! I'm hoping as they've said it's small there's not too much risk, I am taking it easy tho, hopefully it'll be gone by next scan 🀞 I didn't think it would be so difficult to get prescription, everyone just passing the book. Where was yours positioned?

SnookyPook · 13/02/2024 19:18

@Paws4thought ah yeah, a subchorionic haematoma? I think a lot of them vanish on their own - particularly if small. Hopefully that'll be the case for you. Sounds like everyone is being a bit useless with you though. You should deffo be allowed progesterone though. I think there is guidance on the Tommy's website that you can print and take to care provider. Apparently relatively recent that guidelines changed to recommending it to women after even one loss and not everywhere has caught up. I'm getting irritated on your behalf that they're all dragging their feet though.

Paws4thought · 13/02/2024 19:47

@SnookyPook that's great thank you, gp said midwife could advice tthem to prescribe if they feel its needed so hopefully they'll listen especially if show them the hand out :) yeah that's what I think it is, hopefully it'll just disappear.

Sez281 · 13/02/2024 19:54

@Paws4thought I agree with @Supertrooper101 it was always the EPAU that should have prescribed it (especially with your history, now spitting and the fact that they can see I bleed 😀) I was just lucky last year the my GP was amazing and didn't think twice prescribing it as I have had friends that had to fight for it too. You'd swear it was affecting them financially or something the way they are so slow to prescribe it! 🀨 I'm glad you're taking it easy anyway and I'm sure you'll be fine x

@Supertrooper101 get that fibrogel into you before the next scan! I remember you saying your sister was belchy as well as the heartburn? I'm full of gas both ends πŸ™ˆ poor OH doesn't know what's going on with me, I've had him sleeping in spare room the last 2 nights πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

OP posts:
Sez281 · 13/02/2024 20:07

@Paws4thought I meant spotting not spitting lol. I just saw that you're meeting midwife soon too that's good, hopefully she's a bit more clued in to it all, great that you have the link from @SnookyPook too

OP posts:
Paws4thought · 13/02/2024 20:23

@Sez281 I could understand them not mentioning it if I hadn't but you'd think when I'm asking outright that they'd give it, not like it can do any harm even if it didn't do any good. Yeah they've sent out appt letters quite quickly which is good. Haha hopefully your gas will settle down for you soon and oh can come back 🀣

Supertrooper101 · 13/02/2024 20:57

@Paws4thought mine was adjacent to the right. I took ala for a week and it went. Mine was sumat like 14mmx21mmx26mm so bigger than the sac etc which wasnt good. Your bleeding should be that healing i would have thought. I also stopped aspirin as that was stopping mime from being able to clot and heal and could have caused it in the first place... it states online progesterone (and ala) is needed to help resolve it. Am mad at how there not giving it too you. You need to get on at epu again. Think it was july 2023 the new guidelines came in from tommys and all epu"s had to honor it.
@Sez281 not my sister lmao....... mines both ends, the house stinks haha too uncomfy to keep it all in so its tuff πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ lol

Paws4thought · 13/02/2024 21:10

@Supertrooper101 ah I think mine is smaller than the sac so hopefully it'll be OK and should go, it is frustrating, if midwive won't give I'll call epu see if they will, is ala prescribed or can you buy it? Do you take any other vitamins? I'm taking folic acid and vit d but gp suggested the pregnacare.

Supertrooper101 · 13/02/2024 22:07

@Paws4thought ala i got off amazon. Pregnacare cheap but is shite for ingrediants unless you get the most expensive.... i get the cheap one lol and top up the calcium and vit c. Only cos my diet isnt all that great.

Sez281 · 14/02/2024 08:29

@Supertrooper101 I said to my OH last night, not exactly the sexiest valentines is it πŸ’¨ πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

@Paws4thought I'm still taking my prescribed folic acid and the conception proceive max as I had loads left and it doesn't seem to matter if you take them after conception. They're very expensive though so won't be getting them anymore!

I just got my blood results, I’m happy because they could have ranged anywhere from 6000+ because it’s not necessarily 48 hours at this stage (it could double 72-96 hours)…anyway they’re 11,955 so pretty much perfect and have doubled exactly every 48 hours πŸ‘Œ . Now I just need to try and relax and wait to confirm next week that the embryo is actually in there πŸ™πŸ™

Ah @Sez281 this is fantastic! So reassuring πŸ₯° just got to wait it out for that next scan now. The days are plodding on by though. You're already a lot further on than you were!! πŸ’•

Supertrooper101 · 14/02/2024 09:26

@Sez281 its nice to get reasurrance tho isnt it πŸ™‚... are those the proceive max sachets 🀯 50pd a box here! Tried them once, still got some in the cupboard actually, might finish them off lol how much folic are you taking daily then?
