@Sez281 that's great everything is in the right place, as you say its just too early so hopefully more reassurance next week πŸ˜€

I feel sick this morning, not sure if it's a pregnancy symptom or anxiety... roll on 11.

Sez281 · 12/02/2024 09:45

@Paws4thought there's a good chance jts a symptom, you're a week ahead of me and I've been sick all weekend 😣 I didn't have this last year so have to keep reminding myself it might be a good sign 🀞 Hopefully you get good news at yours πŸ™ x

OP posts:
SnookyPook · 12/02/2024 09:53

@Sez281 that's fantastic news! Remember you were never expecting to see more than that. It sounds like the perfect scan for the stage you're at. Also reassuring to know it's not ectopic etc. Focus on the positives! This is very much a win today!

@Paws4thought I almost fainted before my first scan. Some nausea would be understandable! Though may well be a symptom too. I'm sure it'll be fine πŸ’• Not too long to wait now.

Still no more bleeding/spotting here and no cramps. Have had backache this weekend but so have lots of others at my gestation so hoping that is just everything expanding. It's so hard not to freak out but there's really no point is there. Got to hold it together for a few more hours and then hopefully I'll have some reassurance until the next blip!!

I'm still at the doughy tummy phase - still getting in my jeans although sometimes having to undo the button especially towards the end of the day. I'm hoping once bump becomes more evident that will provide a bit of reassurance... With my son that was around 15wks I believe so shouldn't be long to wait. Trying really hard to avoid the catastrophic thinking. 😌

Supertrooper101 · 12/02/2024 09:57

@Sez281 thats great news. Good they saw the fetal pole, cudnt on mine! Thats what worried me lol i guess they didnt see anything to explain the cramps? Maybe there just normal for you πŸ™

Sez281 · 12/02/2024 10:15

@Supertrooper101 she didn't discuss the cramps, just told me everything looks good and to continue the progesteroneπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Honestly I don't think she even realised that I was her private patient as she barely looked at me. She asked me if it was a natural conception πŸ™„ I understand that they see dozens of women a day but at least read my file 🀨 Oh also she said that I was right to stop the DHEA after getting the positive tests just in case you're debating still taking it.

@SnookyPook you're right, I need to take it as a positive that it's not an ectopic or anything. I just feel so "meh" even though I knew not to expect anything more. Will have to just distract myself for the next 9 days.

So glad to hear the spotting has stopped and you've no cramps or anything. Hopefully the scan gives you the reassurance you need later πŸ™β€οΈ

Westy22 · 12/02/2024 10:54

That's good @Sez281 πŸ™

OH just told me his results take 2 weeks according to hospital πŸ’€ so now I'm debating whether to go my appointment tomorrow as other than review my bloods and beg to try clomid or something lol I'm not going armed with much? X this cycle is the slowesttttttt I'm only CD11 feels like it's been 3 weeks already lol

Supertrooper101 · 12/02/2024 13:03

@Sez281 thats just pure lazy. Your file would have been infront of her .. totally relate to that limbo feeling. I had 10days to wait and it was awful, not gona lie lol youl get thr it though πŸ™‚
@Westy22 i wouls still go to your appointment. U never know, they might be able to see the results theyre end.... in a way you need his sperm to be ok else they probably wont help you much anymore and just say its a male factor problem πŸ€”... have you any info from online on the nhs and clomid criteria? Maybe worth finding some and go armed with that. Is it just the gp your seeing, actually they probably wont have the sperm results if his at a different practise, scrap that πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ lol

Hankthehonk · 12/02/2024 13:15

@Sez281 that's great news from your scan, I understand why you'll still be on age but this is all exactly as it should be for the stage you're at so definitely worth celebrating.
Let us know how you get on @Paws4thought and @SnookyPook

@Westy22 I agree it's probably still worth going to the appointment!

Paws4thought · 12/02/2024 13:31

Had external scan and could see flickering heart beat and they said measuring approx 2mm which was great but when I used the toilet once home had bright red blood dripped in toilet and when wiping :( haven't had anymore sinceso far. Phoned epu and they said cause I'd just had scan unless bleeding got really heavy or painful they won't scan again til next week. Also said to phone gp about progesterone and they're fully booked so have to call back first thing tomorrow.

@SnookyPook glad you've not had any more bleeding etc.

Sez281 · 12/02/2024 13:58

@Westy22 I always think the days between AF and fertile window totally drag. Are you still doing opks? I agree about going to your appointment anyway. I'd be asking for facts and figures about your blood results not just satisfactory (some bloods are fine by gp standards but may need better results for ttc) so definitely no harm going in. If nothing else it'll be on your record how long you're trying and looking for investigations etc. Hope the next few days fly in

Ah @Paws4thought that must have been amazing πŸ₯² So sorry to hear that the bloody spotting happened again though. F**k your body anyway for putting you through that! πŸ˜• Everything sounds really positive going forward though, it just just be old stuff clearing out xx

@Hankthehonk Yeah I'm going to try take it as a positive, between that and my nausea im tentatively hopeful that we'll see more next week πŸ™ Hope you're doing ok and your DD is home for lots of cuddles with baby x

@Supertrooper101 I have to keep reminding myself of stuff I said to you during your first in between scan dates, I need to practise what I preach πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ How you feeling?

OP posts:
Supertrooper101 · 12/02/2024 14:18

@Sez281 i never follow my own advise 🀣 ... am just trying to keep busy and trying to fink logically haha half term here and sunny so that always helps speed stuff up πŸ™‚
@Paws4thought i cant wrap my head round that experience or why epu never gave the precription for progesterone there and then πŸ™. U must be feeling at a loss as to what to do. I was under the impression only they could. Have they at least booked you in for another scan nxt week?

SnookyPook · 12/02/2024 15:44

Hi all - super relieved to say that little one is still looking healthy with a good heartbeat and they could also see placenta today which looks great and well formed so that is such a relief!! No obvious cause for the bleed. Certainly nothing worrying near baby. Best guess is delicate cervix. In case it is helpful for anyone here's a pic of the bleed - was definitely alarming.

@Paws4thought such a shame to have that after a healthy scan. It throws you doesn't it. I've heard of a few people getting bleeds after scans though. Hopefully all fine. Hope you can get some reassurance/find some peace about it and focus on the positives from the scan.

Hankthehonk · 12/02/2024 15:57

@SnookyPook phew that is amazing news, what a stressful weekend you must have had though after seeing that. Your baby is growing big and thriving now though! You've probably already seen it but I found this miscarriage probability calculator really reassuring. https://datayze.com/miscarriage-chart

@Paws4thought your scan was good too, I know the bleed will be alarming but hope you can focus on the positives until your next one. Thinking of you

Miscarriage Probability Chart

Displays the overall probability of miscarriage - or, conversely, the probability of not miscarrying - based on pregnancy length by day and maternal history.

Supertrooper101 · 12/02/2024 15:57

@SnookyPook maddness what our body and brains put us through isnt it πŸ™. Plsd you got a good outcome despite your scare πŸ™‚

Paws4thought · 12/02/2024 16:14

@Westy22 I agree with the others might as well go to the appt as gives opportunity to ask any questions whilst waiting for OH results.
@Sez281 f*ck my body were my exact thoughts too could even let me br reassured for more than an hour. Hope the next 9 days go quickly for you! I guess the cramps are just normal for you if nothing untoward seen on scan, hopefully they'll ease off the further you get.
@Supertrooper101 no they've not booked another scan, tbh they showed the heartbeat but when I asked if sac size was OK to pole size and if heartbeat was a good rate they just said they don't check that, only that there's a heart beat so all fine. I said about progesterone being recommended after loss and bleeding and she said they don't prescribe, have to try gp.
@SnookyPook thank you for sharing your pic, mine wasn't as much as that so the fact yours is fine makes me feel a little better 😊 that's fab your little one is all good and a bonus knowing placenta is well formed, hopefully no more scares now.

Paws4thought · 12/02/2024 16:18

@Hankthehonk thank you, I'm tempted to book a private one for weekend but will sew how I feel in a couple of days. That calculator is good, odds are in our favour πŸ˜€

Sez281 · 12/02/2024 16:28

@SnookyPook Aww that's great news, also great that they saw placenta and everything is going the way it should πŸ‘ŒπŸ’“ I can only imagine the fright you got seeing that on the tissue 😣 Will you go for any more scans in between your next official one?

@Paws4thought There's definitely no harm saying it to the GP especially if you're still spotting a little, mine prescribed it over the phone to me last year but I guess it depends what area you're in which is ridiculous 🀨

@Hankthehonk I actually saw that calculator on a thread a couple of weeks ago and freaked myself out as the odds were so bad for me πŸ™ˆ They're definitely gone a lot better though, just got to get through each day πŸ™

Brilliant news @Sez281 , I know you have a bit of a wait for a follow up but results for today are great.

I’ve had bleeds after scans before too @Paws4thought, seeing a little heartbeat is great news though! Hopefully you can get somewhere with your GP for a prescription 🀞🏻

No wonder you got a fright @SnookyPook , I would have too. Delighted that all is as it should be for you.

So pleased that it’s been a day of good news for you all πŸ’•

Paws4thought · 12/02/2024 17:46

@xxcxdonxx Thank you, it seems to be quite common but scary.
@Sez281 yeah I'm hoping they might give prescription over the phone, if not there's no much I can do. Think I'm going to book a private scan for Fri or Sat, my spotting has gone back to brown now so hopefully it'll stop properly soon.

Sez281 · 12/02/2024 18:39

Thanks @xxcxdonxx 😘xx

@Paws4thought Hopefully they give it over the phone. It's not the end of the world if they don't, loads of people don't take it and are fine πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ, I just think with your history and the fact that you're spotting they should maybe give it for some extra reassurance x

OP posts:
Paws4thought · 12/02/2024 18:52

@Sez281 yeah I seem to fit the criteria but they're never keen to give any meds really. Least feel like I've done what I can by asking :) wouldn't have even known about it without this group x

Westy22 · 12/02/2024 23:15

Ahh @Paws4thought after such a good scan, really hope its nothing serious definitely ask your gp for progesterone. I'm surprised epu wouldn't book you in for another scan in a week or so following blood seems a bit evil of them as they will clearly know how stressed that's going to make you!
Fingers crossed it stops and your taking some reassurance from @SnookyPook that things can be okay even with some spotting❀️ x

Really positive day for you all 🌈

I've decided I will go to the appointment, to get more information on bloods and also as its a different gp actually get their opinion on everything. Going to try and make a list tomorrow of different things I need to ask. I feel positive this month...but I'm trying not to get too hopeful...the dtd schedule is in full swing and I've told the OH its got to stay that way until atleast cd 18 which will be 7 attempts 🀣 now If that doesn't work I give up 🀣🀣 my lh is rising but still nowhere near indicating ovulation..hopefully soon πŸ™

How are you getting on @xxcxdonxx x

xxcxdonxx · 13/02/2024 06:43

That sounds like a plan @Westy22 , a different perspective on everything might give you some new insight and answer some of your questions.
Glad to hear that you are feeling more positive, your schedule sounds very busy 😝
What CD are you on now? Hopefully you see that peak soon.

I’m a bit all over the place just how. It’s CD 16 and I still haven’t had my peak. I have had some ewcm and some cramps so I don’t know if I’ve somehow missed it or if it’s just given up. I started pregnacare this month and I’ve read that can delay things, anyone else had that experience? I think I’ll stop that for a few days anyway and see if I get my peak. I’m due to start the progesterone pessaries CD18 but I’ll see if I get my peak and start 3dpo instead.

Good news is that I have got somewhere with my consultant. Called again last week (stalker) and they have sent me out a letter with some info. Advice is to be retested for sticky blood in 12 weeks and if positive then I would be on aspirin and a daily injection of something I can’t remember the name of until birth. She also advised not to TTC until the second blood results as pregnancy can skew the results. However if I did find myself pregnant then to start the aspirin and injections anyway. I also had an appointment for gynaecology come through, I assume it’s for a scan etc. as that’s what was discussed at my first appointment. The appointment is for 31st Dec….so a bit a wait for that one 🫠

We are off on holiday next week with my family so I’m just hoping that I get my peak before we go and then all I have to worry about is dealing with the leakage from these pessaries 🫣

Sez281 · 13/02/2024 07:21

@Westy22 good call going in armed with a list of questions. Your new GP won't know what hit them πŸ˜‚ Also don't know how you're coping with covering bases up to 7 times, I think my max was 4 in fertile window and it nearly killed us πŸ™ˆ fingers crossed you get peak soon 🀞 xx

@xxcxdonxx that's really good progress with your doc. Really interested to know what those injections are πŸ€” You're right to listen to body and not start progesterone until 3DPO. Also I wouldn't worry about December appointment, you've gotten a few positives since being on this thread, it's just a matter of getting it to stick and at least you might have a way now with the combo of the progesterone, aspirin and whatever is in the injections πŸ™ xx

I've woken up this morning in a panic because my boobs are usually so sore that I can't roll over and they're way less tender now πŸ˜•I know symptoms come and go but it's really thrown me. I've booked in for bloods in a clinic I found online just to make sure that they're still going up. It probably sounds crazy and I know now should just relax and wait until the scan next week but I'd only be driving myself round the bend 😣

OP posts:
Westy22 · 13/02/2024 08:21

That's good progress @xxcxdonxx atleast you know there doing something. A December wait for gynae tho...that's long? I'd maybe ring them and see if they can add you to cancellations lists. I'm on CD12, I do get a quick rise when I've done opk's in the past so hoping that's the case this time. The schedule is busy @Sez281 lol were okay with it atm and I'm using preseed which is helping I can imagine in the next few days I'll be ready for a break. I just extended it both sides of my predicted window tho as sometimes I worry I miss it.

Totally get why you've done bloods, I've read loads of positives about symptoms coming and going but I would be the same if I'm honest about double checking πŸ™ how soon do you get results with the clinic x
