@Supertrooper101 I forgot to reply to you! It's saying the 11th of October but again not getting ahead of myself for self preservation πŸ˜•. If I do make it that far it's 15 days before my 42nd birthday πŸ™God knows if there's an even older term than geriatric for over 40's πŸ˜‚ What's your expected date? Did you allow yourself to get a bit emotional after scan yesterday? I hope so! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ xx

SnookyPook · 02/02/2024 11:26

Wriggly baby! Measuring 12+4 and all looking healthy! NT is in normal range ☺️ Can't believe we've made it to this point! All feeling much more real now! Don't know what I'd have done without you ladies supporting me along the way. Still a way to go but feeling much more optimistic now! πŸ™πŸΌπŸŒˆπŸ’•

Hope everyone else is ok today! X

Supertrooper101 · 02/02/2024 12:33

@Sez281 i have no idea when the date is, not looked and not booked midwifes either lol the scan made me smile yeah x
@SnookyPook back to being paranoid that every twinge is the heamorrage rupturing πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ.... thats great about the scan. I think your mindset helped u thr the most. It must be meant to be....u purposley avoided dtd on ovulation to have a cycle off.....and here you are lol

Paws4thought · 02/02/2024 13:20

@Sez281 mine came back within about 2 weeks, hopefully yours won't be much longer. Ah that's fab getting 2-3 weeks, mine was 1-2 at 4+1 so decided not to do any more as it stressed me out haha.
@SnookyPook you must be so relieved, hopefully you can start to enjoy your pregnancy now :)
@Westy22 ah so many signs, I really hope it's not your body tricking you!

xxcxdonxx · 02/02/2024 15:17

Such lovely news @SnookyPook I’m delighted for you!
You have reason to feel optimistic too, what a huge milestone to reach πŸ’œ

Westy22 · 02/02/2024 16:57

Well AF has arrived πŸ˜‘ so it's back to a 28 day cycle this month x

Sez281 · 02/02/2024 17:11

Aw sorry to hear that @Westy22 😒 It's so shit when you have weird symptoms and whispers on tests too. I always think that some of them (especially if on different tests) are in fact a sign of something brushing up and attempting it so it might be a really good sign of things to come πŸ™ xx

OP posts:
Sez281 · 02/02/2024 17:12

@SnookyPook that's amazing! So great about the normal NT too. I can only imagine how emotional it is after everything you've been throughπŸ₯Ή. I'm so happy for you xx

OP posts:
Sez281 · 02/02/2024 17:18

@Paws4thought I totally agree about the stress and won't be doing anymore of those tests. How are you feeling? Have you booked anything? X

My GP just called with my blood results, it's 150 πŸ˜• I feel like that's very low but I have to remind myself I was only cd28 yesterday and the range for week 4-5 is 0-750. There's nothing I can do now except get them done again next week and pray that they rise as they should πŸ™ it's going to be a long week! πŸ™ˆ

I also emailed my consultant to let her know. My GP (who knows and referred me to her) asked me why I got bloods with her practise as I was getting ivf in the hospital. She couldn’t believe it happened naturally. Well actually she said that she always knew it couldπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ .. I didn’t tell her it was thanks to the cyclogest she gave me last year πŸ˜‚

Jadeypie · 02/02/2024 17:36

@SnookyPook ohhh yayyy lovely news 🩷 made up for you!! Such a lovely milestone with loads of positivity xx

@Sez281 don't think to much about levels everyone's different. Sending lost of positive vibes your way xx

@Westy22 sorry about af our bodies are just cruel tease sometimes xx

SnookyPook · 02/02/2024 17:59

@Westy22 aw sorry my love. Enjoy a wallow and some wine and naughty cheese and then hopefully this new cycle will bring that BFP! Just think, The little egg could be gearing up over the next few days πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’•

@Sez281 so much easier said than done I know but try not to get bogged down by it. 150 is a perfectly respectable number and well within the normal range. Remember tests pick up from 10-20mlu or whatever the unit is. An isolated reading really can't tell you much. Hopefully you'll get your reassurance next week πŸ™πŸΌπŸŒˆπŸ’•

@Supertrooper101 yep haha this one was pretty determined to be here I think! I was doing my best to avoid them πŸ˜‚ sorry the anxiety is ramping up again. Have you got your next scan already booked in for next week? Mine were 2 weeks apart and my nerves were always full on a week after a scan so hopefully with the way they're spacing them for you you'll never have too long to worry about what's going on. πŸ’•

Paws4thought · 02/02/2024 20:22

@Westy22 so sorry to hear AF arrived.
@Sez281 I'm OK, trying to stay optimistic and not over think as what will be will be, I've booked scan for 12th, I'll be 6+3, already nervous about it being like last time 😬
I guess the bloods number on its own doesn't mean much, will give you more of an idea when you can compare them to next week's.

Westy22 · 02/02/2024 20:30

Thank you, I'm alright had a cry when i got home from work now I'm drinking wine lol 5 days early tho, this cycle was 27 days compared to the last two in there 30's. As if my temp went up too, don't even trust doing that anymore because mine didn't do what it was supposed to lol every failed cycle feels worse and I've not even been trying that long πŸ’€πŸ’€

I know how hard it will be not to focus on the numbers @Sez281 they consumed me as I was having them every 48 hours. As you say your still very early so fingers crossed everything will be fine.

Glad everything went well today @SnookyPook its amazing you're at this stage ❀️

Hankthehonk · 02/02/2024 20:47

Lots to catch up on again!
@Westy22 so sorry to see AF arrived, glad you are on the wine and quite right having a cry. Those different length cycles sound so confusing. Sending a hug, it's so crap after there were lines on those tests.

@SnookyPook Over the moon for you that you are past this big milestone and your baby is thriving. Have you told your wee boy yet?

@Sez281 as everyone has said, don't stress about the number as could be absolutely fine, but I know the week waiting for next wait will feel very long and stressful. Can you organise anything nice to distract yourself during that week?

@HopeAndStrength hope induction went well today, thinking of you!

That's me finished at work, it felt a bit surreal yesterday but I've definitely checked out a lot quicker than I did with my first mat leave πŸ˜‚mind you, a whole day with my 3 year old today has been more intense than a day at work! Thankfully I'm drafting my mum and sister in a lot to help (as well as dh obviously, but they'll help me when he's working) over these final weeks of pregnancy and during my c section recovery. Feel very lucky to be able to do that.
I'm 37 weeks today and it still feels so emotional and significant to make it to full term, even though I already knew from Monday's scan that baby was doing fine.

xxcxdonxx · 02/02/2024 20:51

Ahh, sorry @Westy22 it’s cruel when you feel you are in with a chance that month too. Enjoy your wine, sometimes a good cry is what we need .

@Sez281 it’s hard not to worry in the early stages. When I spoke to the midwife at Tommys and she was suggesting getting bloods taken, she had said not to get too focussed on the numbers and them doubling or tripling but a steady increase is good too. Hopefully that’s what you see too xx

Sez281 · 03/02/2024 07:29

Thanks all, I thought I was being sensible by getting bloods and not focusing on lines etc but I didn't factor in the wait between the next ones πŸ₯΄ I'll be ok though, I've a busy week in work next week to distract me πŸ™

@Hankthehonk I'd say there's no better feeling leaving work knowing you've done all that you can do and the rest is out of your hands. I'd imagine a day with a toddler is even tougher though πŸ˜‚ So great that you've got all that family support over the next couple of weeks πŸ’–

@Westy22 we all need a little cry every now and then, it's shit and it's ok to feel annoyed😒. I hope you enjoyed the wine! X

@Paws4thought you've definitely got the right attitude. I keep trying to tell myself the same. I think I'll be booking for exactly a week after you if my consultant doesn't see me before then. For now all we can do is try to remain positive πŸ™ xx

OP posts:
Supertrooper101 · 03/02/2024 09:49

@Sez281 remember who sounded exactly like you πŸ€” haha meeeeeeee lol mine was shit i fort at 200 4+3 and you kept telling me it was ok and try not to worry lol catch 22 int it. You want reassurance but when you do tests and get blopds if there not the results u wanted then you get paranoid lol the week will go quick of your busy and the hcg will soon shoot up x
@SnookyPook yeah she booked me in when i was there, so nxt thursday again. Realised when i got home, the nurse ive been seeing was the one who was with me all day for the d&c procedure.so least she knows me personally and not just a name on paper. Are you going to chill now until your 20wk scan or get one inbetween. Youl start feeling them soon so that will be a big releif..... until there being quiet, then yiu shit yourself again 🀣
@Paws4thought is the scan with nhs or private? Myne around 9wks will be my milestone one so really hope things go well to be able to see that one ok
@Westy22 well text book cycle as a postive i guess. Your bodys trying to do somthing so like the others have said, only a matter of time hopefully x

Westy22 · 03/02/2024 10:13

Yeah I guess @Supertrooper101 feeling slightly better today, AF is light atm, not on a pad but shows when I go the toilet and there was loads of clear stretchy cm with it. Hopefully it kicks in properly today as I stresses me out when it's not a good flow always makes me feel like it means theres something not right 🀣 also annoyed at the OH as he still hasn't done his sample and when asked said he keeps forgetting πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š wasn't the right answer day 1 of an unexpected period 😑

Sez281 · 03/02/2024 10:41

@Westy22 I'd be annoyed too, I mean they only have one test to do and it's not exactly hard πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ No pun intended πŸ˜‚. Make sure he abstains for about 3 days before (will probably work out well if he does it while you're at start if your cycle) I hope you get a proper flow soon as I know what you mean about those uncertain ones.. you're sure it's definitely AF? 🧐

@Supertrooper101 Yeah it's so much easier said than done isn't it πŸ™ˆ I just remembered yours being like 1900 but I forgot that was your second batch so hopefully mine goes up as it should too 🀞 Is the 9 week scan in the UK for NIPT like here in Ireland? I'll 100% be getting that done at 9 weeks if I get that far, just need to take it day by day until then πŸ™

OP posts:
Westy22 · 03/02/2024 10:54

There's no risk of me going near him @Sez281 🀣 I'm so annoyed by it though like I wish I could just forget about ttc.

I fell down the rabbit hole of it maybe not being AF yesterday but tbh it's red so I do think it is lol its just a bit thin/watery or mixed with mucus, reminds me a bit of my mc bleed tbh epu were convinced it wouldn't of cleared when I described it and she was quite shocked that it had. I think I notice AF more now though coz I've switched to pads and stopped using tampons as I've read they can dry you out. So maybe before ttc I never knew what my normal flow was coz I couldn't see it 🀣 x this is nothing compared to last month though 🀣

Hope your alright 😊 xx

Sez281 · 03/02/2024 11:12

@Westy22 I'd kill him too. He doesn't even have to do it in clinic does he? He can do it at home and drop it in? Not exactly a massive ask! πŸ™„ Lucky you're not in fertile window now the way you feel with him. I'm sure after 2 weeks you'll have calmed down πŸ˜‚

Yeah there's a huge difference between pads and tampons, I prefer pads as I'm able to judge it more. My last 6 cycles or so were crazy light and only lasted around 3 days but I think that's an age thing for me πŸ₯΄

OP posts:
Supertrooper101 · 03/02/2024 11:13

@Sez281 yeah the 1900 was the week after. Think the 1st was a friday and the 2nd lot was a tuesday. Sure the tues was at 5wks maybe... the 9wk scan for me was cos the mmc, it stopped at 8wks+3 πŸ™.... this nipt am not sure we even do that. Think they measure some fluid and run bloods for downs and other stuff.. what does that one check for and does a scan show it? Am tempted to not have any tests lol do.you ever womder how much of this cyclogest actually gets absorbs if you know what i mean 🀣
@Westy22 men really do my head in in all.this sometimes . Like @Sez281 says...they have ONE test and a pleasurable one at that! Us lot, so much more going on and they just dont register at all. Do you think his maybe scared of the result or he just cant be arsed? You need to sit him in a room and make him do it lol you never know....he could be the problem lol and what if his test needs repeating a couple of times for whatever reason, you need all results ready to go for your appointment and especially if you do get a cancellation, the sooner the better.

SnookyPook · 03/02/2024 11:22

@Supertrooper101 I'm hoping to make it up to the 20wk one without needing another but we'll see. It doesn't sound too far away but I know it's going to feel like an eternity! Although like you say, hopefully bump will start showing soon and maybe some movements in a few weeks so hoping that will help ..

Haha and yes, have had the same thought re progesterone. Definitely more on my knickers than up my lady bits some days πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@Sez281 we don't have NIPT as standard here. They do bloods and check NT thickness at 12wk scan and if those come back high risk they offer the NIPT then on the NHS. Followed by amnio etc if needed. But lots of people (especially older mums) opt for NIPT privately around 8-9 weeks I think just to know what's going on. I didn't because the cheapest ones seem to start around Β£400 so thought I'd just wait it out.

@Westy22 hope you get some clarity soon. Although the bleeding you describe, I had the night before my BFP with this one.... We'd just dtd and when I went to the toilet I had a load of watery mucousy bright red blood and told my DH we'd done it just in time as AF was about to start... πŸ˜‚ Got my bfp the next morning πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€žπŸ»

Jadeypie · 03/02/2024 11:29

@Westy22 men and pmt do not mix well haha everything my dp does when I have it gets right on my tits! He only has to breathe hahah. But totally get your frustration I was like that the other day with mine over dtd! I really do just think they don't get emotionally invested and just genuinely think 'it will happen when it happens' I wish it was that simple. I seriously have stopped even judging my af anymore because it's just unpredictable. Might not be af tho!! See how it pans out over the next few days. I've heard if it's implantation you might not get a positive till another four days xx

Jadeypie · 03/02/2024 11:34

I'm 4dpo today feels strange actually knowing haha. And lh has dropped right down so looks like I've ovulated. My flo ap keeps telling me to do a pg test even tho I've told it I got a positive opk and it's registed it stupid aps! Other than that I feel all positive for some strange reason xx
