Tested this morning and bfn... again. And as the cherry on top I have a horrible cold lol. So onto the next cycle, I am ok, just cannot believe I'm going onto ANOTHER cycle. Hope everyone else is ok x

@Wise0wl Yes I would say it taking longer means a nice matured egg 🥚
Dh and I also have been taking coq10 these past few months I have read good things. Hope you managed to muster the energy x

Has anyone ever used preseed? xx

ThelastRolo20 · 22/02/2024 09:15

@Wise0wl @Ladyinpink1 thanks both. I'm also using the Coq10 whatever it is so will be interesting to see if it effects my cycles. Sorry about the BFN and cold @Ladyinpink1 - not a fun combination! X

CluelessInLondon · 22/02/2024 09:30

Hi everyone, hope you are all okay. @Ladyinpink1 sorry to hear about the BFN and cold combo, I hope the cold is better quickly! @Wise0wl Good that you finally got that static smiley - I hope it's just taken a bit of time for your body to get that perfect egg ready and this is the one for you. ❤

@ThelastRolo20 Sorry to hear things have been feeling crappy recently, glad you are taking the positive from your period coming back though - it's reassuring when things return to normal, and at least you'll be able to enjoy your holiday without worrying about that (and hopefully AF will come and go quickly at the start of your trip!).

I just wanted to share this information for anyone who hasn't seen the announcement this morning - people in England can now apply for a baby loss certificate to mark losses before 24 weeks. I know some hospitals already offer a certificate if you have treatment for a miscarriage, but mine didn't so I'm going to apply for one for my loss in September, and I thought it may be of interest to lots of people on this thread. At the moment you can apply for one for any loss after September 2018.

Sorry about your bfn @Ladyinpink1, I hope AF arrives soon so you’ve got a fresh cycle to focus on. I’ve been making DH take CoQ10 too (and yes, couldn’t pass up the static smiley once I got it!)

@CluelessInLondon thanks so much for sharing, I spotted it too and came on to share!

Am feeling low today, like having a baby is so far from reach and really struggling with my feelings about others in my life who are pregnant or have recently have babies. It’s just so unfair.

moosey89 · 22/02/2024 10:54

@Wise0wl I'm sorry your feeling like that, I'm in exactly the same boat. This week is proving difficult for those feelings. I've had to unfollow multiple acquaintances and influencers I follow because of pregnancy announcements. Just trying to keep in my little bubble and not get hurt as much as I can! Sending hugs xx

HerbaceousPerennial · 22/02/2024 21:48

@Ladyinpink1 with you here. Here we go again! Fingers crossed better luck this time although AF still not turned up so either I have a longer than average luteal phase or body’s playing silly buggers again 🙄 sorry it’s a BFN for you again.

@ThelastRolo20 @Wise0wl on Coq10 too which might be extending the cycles but I’m so nervous about another miscarriage I’m prepared to take that risk to try and get a better egg. Constant mental gymnastics about the right course of action eh. Who knows?

@Wise0wl @moosey89 I’m sorry you’re both feeling low. It’s crap. I’m slightly pissed and had a crazy lady rant about how angry I am about the miscarriage and not being pregnant to my wonderful friends at dinner earlier, including a graphic blow by blow account of what happened. They were so kind and I’m fretting a bit hoping I didn’t ruin their dinner. Can’t afford to be dropping non-pregnant friends!

ThelastRolo20 · 23/02/2024 04:47

@CluelessInLondon thank you! Blooming typical about the holiday but it'll be the cycle we start trying again so I'll just be happy it arrives I guess.

@Wise0wl @moosey89 the down days are really tough, it can be so consuming. I'm hoping my break helps me mentally more than anything else but it's still hard to have cycles off - it's never not on the mind is it?

@HerbaceousPerennial longer luteal phase is good, although it's hard to be patient waiting for AF! don't worry about your friends, it's what they're there for and I'm sure they just want to support you ❤️

I'm trying to be brave and I'm seeing my friend who will be due the same time as my second baby later today for coffee. Figured taking a break from her hadn't miraculously made me feel better (funny that) so may as well try and get back to normal. Will see how it goes!

Herewegoagain0 · 23/02/2024 08:10

BFN here at 9DPO so think I’m out for the month. Had got my hopes up about being more fertile after a CP - now just want AF to arrive so I can move onto the next cycle 😞

moosey89 · 23/02/2024 11:43

@ThelastRolo20 nope it's always there! I'm around 10dpo today and just want to know again (I don't feel any different so I'm guessing I'm not pregnant but I'm not out out yet).

ThelastRolo20 · 23/02/2024 13:29

@moosey89 it's very normal to feel no different leading up to a positive. I have everything crossed but if it's a negative we're all here for you ❤️

moosey89 · 23/02/2024 13:59

Thanks @ThelastRolo20 - it's got to the point now that I can't even imagine getting a positive test again 😞 hopefully it'll be my turn soon x

Wise0wl · 23/02/2024 16:49

I have everything crossed for you @moosey89!

that is exactly the problem @ThelastRolo20. if I don’t get a bfp this month I’m tempted to take next month off but I can’t conceive of doing that, I’ll be secretly monitoring my cm and counting my cycle days and symptom spotting! I admire your bravery. I hope you had an a nice afternoon, and if you didn’t, well done for giving it a go x

ThelastRolo20 · 23/02/2024 18:25

@moosey89 I really hope it's your turn soon ❤️

@Wise0wl we didn't meet in the end, we're both ill. I'm on my second lot of antibiotics - it's been four weeks and now my oxygen levels are starting to drop. Thank goodness I'm not TTC, I'd be really worried this would have a negative impact! But I'm seeing my other pregnant friend tomorrow for a walk and I'm feeling okay about it (right now anyway!)

ThelastRolo20 · 23/02/2024 18:25

@Wise0wl when having made a decision to have a break it's a constant internal battle, so bloody difficult isn't it when it's all we want

moosey89 · 23/02/2024 19:23

Thanks @ThelastRolo20 , same for you.

Sorry you're not well too - hope that you are better soon. Being ill sucks!

Bugdem123 · 24/02/2024 10:02

Happy Saturday guys, hope you're all okay today. I had a GP appointment as I'm so concerned about how light my period is and that I'm ovulating early. I still can't decide how I feel about the appointment - she didn't really seem to get why I'm so upset but she did say that people get pregnant all the time with light period and ovulating on any day is fine. She did agree to do day 21 bloods and a thyroid test so I'll see what they say. She said they don't recommend doing OPKs etc and I was like...that ship has long sailed hun, I won't be stopped 😂. She also said that they wouldn't refer me to anywhere until it's been a year after the miscarriage which I knew, but was a bit of a slap in the face.

I'm now 1DPO I think, we managed O-1 and O so we'll see what happens. I also have a cold so not got my hopes up.

@ThelastRolo20 glad to hear AF arrived - well as glad you can ever be. How annoying that'll it come when you're on holiday now. I hope you manage to shift your chest infection, your wee body is going through it right now!

@13lucy did you meet your friend? How did it go?

@Ladyinpink1 so sorry about the BFN. It's so bloody shit. That's how I feel too "how am I having to do this AGAIN?!". Hope your cold is easing off and you're able to do something nice this weekend.

@Wise0wl @moosey89 hope you're both doing okay today. That's how I've felt this week too. It just feels so impossible and out of reach. It's blowing my mind that people just try for a baby and then go on to have one without any stress or heartache!

@CluelessInLondon thanks for sharing that 🩷 hope you're doing well and wee bean is growing away nicely.

@HerbaceousPerennial don't worry about the crazy lady rant - they're good for you!! Has AF arrived yet?

HerbaceousPerennial · 24/02/2024 10:28

@Bugdem123 glad you got to the doctor and that she’s going to do some tests - sounds like she is taking it seriously but I sometimes find that because they’re working on the standard/average you don’t really get any answers and it’s all a bit underwhelming. How are you feeling about the tests? That’s disappointing about the year for referral, I get why but I don’t think the doctors always get the sense of urgency you feel after a miscarriage.

AF still not turned up and no real signs that it will any time soon so looks like my ‘ovulation’ was a fake peak. On the plus side it means ovulation could happen at any time/have already happened, but I’m back in the wilds of having no clue when I might ovulate. That might not be a bad thing for my mental health if I’m totally honest, albeit frustrating.

@ThelastRolo20 you’ve really been through the wringer, hope you are managing to take some time and spoil yourself and that you feel better soon. My mum has a theory that sadness comes out in illness and it’s part of healing, bit hippy but I do think there’s some truth in it.

Hope everyone’s got something nice on this weekend and is doing ok

ThelastRolo20 · 24/02/2024 12:13

@Bugdem123 I'm glad they're doing tests, like you say though a bit of a slap that we have to wait for a year post MC for much more! Hopefully you get some answers, I hear a slight cold in the TWW can actually help as it distracts your immune system so fingers crossed. Love the comment about OPKs too 😂 although I've decided not to use them when we try in April so we'll see how that goes...

@HerbaceousPerennial thank you, it's been a rough few months for sure but the bright side is that hopefully the weather will start improving and I'll feel physically better which will make everything feel more positive generally!

Bugdem123 · 24/02/2024 12:23

@HerbaceousPerennial I'm hoping that the tests will give me some reassurance that I'm at least definitely ovulating and then I'll try and just accept that I need to wait and it'll happen at some point. I think they don't get that yeah this is only cycle 5 since the MC, but we've been trying April/May last year so saying "just be patient" isn't actually all that helpful. I've been patient - I waited until we both had good careers, the nice house, the wedding, the fun holidays and now I'm nearly a year in to actually trying with nothing to show for it! Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant 😅

@ThelastRolo20 I think I might try a couple of cycles without testing. I honestly can't tell if they're doing me any good or not but it also feels like I'm doing something so I honestly can't decide what to do. You're right about the better weather and light nights, I think that'll definitely make a huge difference.

Wise0wl · 25/02/2024 07:50

@Bugdem123 its good they’re doing tests, and I hope you didn’t feel dismissed by that GP. I completely echo your thoughts about already having been patient. The waiting feels like it’s going on forever.

I would love to have a break from OPKs but the longer time goes on the more desperate I am to feel like I’m doing something.

I wonder if anyone has ever had this, I didn’t get my static smiley until Wednesday, last night I started spotting. Surely it can’t be AF on CD21 today? Feeling absolutely gutted. X

13lucy · 25/02/2024 09:13

@Bugdem123 it's next weekend but I'm feeling a lot of anticipation. In a weird way hoping it gets cancelled so I don't have to deal with it which I know isn't a good way to be! Glad you are getting some tests done. I had a similar conversation with my GP but she also tested some other hormones as well. She said we know it can happen so it's a case of seeing what 21 day bloods show and if it's all normal then just a case of keep trying! I guess it's a good thing but nothing explains the irregular cycles and light periods. It also baffles me that it can take so long to conceive with timed intercourse!

I'm about 5DPO today and not doing too badly but I know that will change if AF arrives. The past few days I've had twinges here and there but I don't think it means anything as I've had it on previous cycles! I keep over analysing how I felt when I had a BFP and the only thing I remember was not having a clue until the positive test about 10 days after my period was due!

Bugdem123 · 25/02/2024 09:16

@Wise0wl I've had this on a couple of cycles, spotted for a like a day and then my period came a few days later. Could it maybe be implantation bleeding?

I've woken up feeling like I've had an epiphany this morning. My temperature has dropped at CD15 so I've got no idea if I've ovulated or not and I feel like something has snapped in my head - I cannot keep tracking the minutia of my body anymore. It's driving me mad and it's not as if I'm getting any benefit - I'm still not pregnant. I'm going to speak to my husband about it once he's gets up but I think for at least a few months we need to try the old fashioned method of having sex every other day and re-assess in a couple of months if it hasn't worked.

Bugdem123 · 25/02/2024 09:22

@13lucy I feel like that a lot with plans just now so I get it! That's good your doctor is testing and hopefully everything comes back okay. I know, TTC is by far the hardest thing I've ever done. It doesn't compute in my brain that you can do everything "right" and it still doesn't work.

It's such a rollercoaster. I've thought about how I felt when I was pregnant too and up until about 10DPO there were no symptoms for me at all other than maybe less PMS. From 10DPO my boobs basically doubled in size overnight 😅. Are you going to test early or wait until AF is due?

13lucy · 25/02/2024 09:34

@Bugdem123 I remember the tender boobs and it triggers me a bit when I get a hint of that with PMS. I would love to be as relaxed about it all now as I was then! I didn't know much about my cycle and only tested as I was about to see a GP about not having periods for three months. It was a very different appointment! Thinking back though, the GP and then the midwife at my booking appointment were just congratulating me and saying how low risk I was. I think it would have been so much more helpful to mention risk of miscarriage. It was only once I'd had the miscarriage that everyone would say how common it is.

Not sure if I'm going to test early or not. I'm not sure what's worse, seeing a BFN, temp drop or AF arrive!

Sounds good to stop tracking for a while. I've found it useful to have the data about my cycle but I think I'll drop temping soon. Not sure if I'll be able to drop OPK testing yet. I guess you could give it a go for a month and see how you feel? It does cause overwhelm tracking everything and overthinking every change in your body. I think that's something that DH doesn't fully understand and how it affects your mental health.
