TTC after early miscarriage

Morning!
So I sadly suffered an early miscarriage at 5w just over a fortnight ago.

We have 3 children already (6,4 and 19m) and I'm 40, hubby 47.

Lovely staff at EPU said crack on again as soon as I'm ready- and not to worry about having a period first.

I've always had pretty irregular cycles anyway and have never tracked ovulation (we have been very lucky and fallen pregnant super easily- and this was my first MC).

I think I have just ovulated (Sunday) which was 14 days since spotting (main bleed from miscarriage was Tues 11, Weds 12 Oct).

My symptoms were bloating on Fri and Saturday, and real drop in mood over the weekend (I've noticed this has happened a few times a couple of weeks before period since cycles started after DD was born), by yesterday my mood was much more stable again. On Sunday I had mild nausea and very mild cramping (more like little twinges).
We DTD Sunday night.

So have fingers crossed that something might have happened!

I noticed yesterday evening and today I'm peeing more than usual but apparently that can be a sign of ovulation too.

I'm going to be a crazy lady symptom
spotting for a fortnight now! Have a cervical screening booked for a week today (wondering if I should cancel it?!)

What's the earliest anyone has had symptoms after DTD that turned out to be early pregnancy? And how many DPO have you got a positive?

Husband was too tired last night so we didn't do it again. Today at CD 10 I think it's too late as no sign of fertile CM now I've dried up 😅 so only DTD once this cycle. Not much hope!

@mumsince2021 it only takes once 😂 fingers crossed it's a good outcome for you in going to consider myself 1 DPO tomorrow and going to try and focus on Christmas to distract myself

A few of us seem to be ovulating around the same time.

I was convinced my peak was yesterday as ot started to go down and was a real dark like. I've just taken one and it says it's high now the line is much lighter? Surely this is just a glitch on the app? Any ideas?

Thank you for all your lovely comments - I'm still hanging on and taking each day at a time. Trying not to stress about lack of symptoms and praying that this is a sticky one. I've got my Booking appt booked in for the 20th Dec.

@miamiamia869 -No idea about the tests - but crossing everything for you too!

Hope those of you in the TWW are doing well and using xmas prep as a distraction.

@Roxystar23 that's all you can do. Stay positive. I've heard millions of stories of people with no symptoms and healthy pregnancy so try not to worry.

I'm deciding my 2ww starts today as I'm pretty sure my peak was yesterday. It's going to be a long 2 weeks. I agreee christmas is a great distraction and a busy time so should keep us all busy in the 2ww.

@miamiamia869 the app can get it wrong, eyesight is the best tool and it's definitely lighter so peak is yesterday 😄 welcome to the TWW!

@miamiamia869 I haven’t been using an app just judging by eye but do take a pic so I can compare. I think looking at yours it’s the app messing up.

I am supposed to be going to my works Christmas party 15th December which will be around 15 dpo and 5 days after period due.

@Cat2022 are you going to test the morning of the party or before? I'll be testing around then too x

I unfortunately am still waiting to ovulate (CD32)
I keep getting signs / slight rises in my OPK’s (not high - highest has been 0.35) but then next day goes back to really faint!
Had more EWCM yesterday so praying it happens in the next few days
I honestly don’t think I’m going to mentally start to feel better until I ovulate and can focus on that 🥺💔

@Holly0609 how long are your cycles normally? There's us a chance it could be one of those tricky ones where you don't ovulate 😞 but the tests aren't always 100% accurate, so just have an much sex as you can? 😂

@ThelastRolo20 My cycles are normally 26-28 days!!

I know, I’m beginning to think I won’t 💔. I’m praying I either ovulate in a few days or at least get my period 😞. Desperate to feel like I’m “moving on” I just feel in complete limbo.

I had to buy my third box of OPK’s yesterday coz I’ve been testing since CD 10 🫠
My sister had a chemical miscarriage in the summer and it took her 5 weeks to ovulate after her negative pregnancy test.. so she keeps telling me it’ll happen but it’s so frustrating with the waiting and not knowing!

Hahaha, I think I’d feel better if we were just having sex every other day or something 🤣. But I’m the poor person who’s husband has had knee surgery and is in a lot of pain and not very mobile 🤣 so he only wants to do it when he “has to” 😂😭

@Holly0609 is so frustrating when we have be such little control over our bodies. Hoping you ovulate soon ❤️

Haha yes I did remember that, I was hoping his knee had miraculously gotten better 😂

It’s so cruel - we go through enough with the miscarriage and then when we want to try again we’re stuck in limbo 🥺

@Holly0609 it's so hard and stressful waiting. I feel all over the place too not knowing if I have or not. I am counting my self now as 1dpo and waiting but I don't feel confident I did ovulate. Who knew ttc was so hard especially after misscsrriage it's a whole new ball game. But fingers crossed for us all.

I still have no period here. No spotting still. Still cramping it's been a week now. I actually feel a bit sick today. But I also feel sick when I'm coming on period sometimes too 😂 coming up to 28 days anyway my cycle length before MC so going to see how it goes this weekend. If nothing will get another test Monday. It's driving me mad! I can't believe this has happened the cycle the ov tests played up. 🙄 Positive thoughts for me please (literally) 😭😬

@Claudiasaz our tree is up and my almost 2 year old is convinced it's covered in pumpkins rather than baubles and is determined to try and me clear them 🤦‍♀️

Sounds like you have symptoms which could go either way! Not tempted to test at the weekend?

@ThelastRolo20 awww 😂😂 I don't think it's worth it as I didn't get positives with my two until days after a missed period so maybe day 30 and had false negatives 😬 so I feel like will I believe a negative after that😂 The last pregnancy I found out a lot later so was different. Need to try and see what happens really!

I had a fairly light period and am now CD7 so just gearing up for fertile week. I don’t bother with OPKs as I have a fairly short cycle so it’s pretty easy to cover the window. Not looking forward to being in the tww in the run up to Christmas though. Good luck to everyone who’s a few days ahead of me. Hoping for lots of good news soon 🤞

Well my cycle ended quicker than I thought… 23 days 🤦🏼‍♀️ I had a glass of wine and a takeaway tonight thought why not….

I’d say at least I can enjoy Christmas.. but with cycles this short I’ll be in the TWW again by Christmas!!

@ThelastRolo20 they've been between 23-26 days since I had my daughter three years ago.. but I’ve had mid cycle spotting up to them a few months (basically since my last MC) xx

If I'm not pregnant this month I'll be in the wait over Xmas too 🫠😂 I don't really drink but love all the cheeses. Haha.

@Claudiasaz good news for you on the drinking front but god yeah the cheeses… also love a cured meat at this time of year..
