TTC after early miscarriage

Morning!
So I sadly suffered an early miscarriage at 5w just over a fortnight ago.

We have 3 children already (6,4 and 19m) and I'm 40, hubby 47.

Lovely staff at EPU said crack on again as soon as I'm ready- and not to worry about having a period first.

I've always had pretty irregular cycles anyway and have never tracked ovulation (we have been very lucky and fallen pregnant super easily- and this was my first MC).

I think I have just ovulated (Sunday) which was 14 days since spotting (main bleed from miscarriage was Tues 11, Weds 12 Oct).

My symptoms were bloating on Fri and Saturday, and real drop in mood over the weekend (I've noticed this has happened a few times a couple of weeks before period since cycles started after DD was born), by yesterday my mood was much more stable again. On Sunday I had mild nausea and very mild cramping (more like little twinges).
We DTD Sunday night.

So have fingers crossed that something might have happened!

I noticed yesterday evening and today I'm peeing more than usual but apparently that can be a sign of ovulation too.

I'm going to be a crazy lady symptom
spotting for a fortnight now! Have a cervical screening booked for a week today (wondering if I should cancel it?!)

What's the earliest anyone has had symptoms after DTD that turned out to be early pregnancy? And how many DPO have you got a positive?

I tried the CB 4 day ones by accident this month and I'm still flashing. Wouldn't recommend 4 day ones personally the flashing is annoying 😂

@Claudiasaz Well… we hope his knee is up to it 🤣. We are going to attempt it anyway!

Hahaha - those are the ones I used! I had 4 days of flashing smileys.. very annoying 😂. How many days have you had them for?

@Holly0609 what did he have to have done? I guess you will need to improvise 😂

I'm on day 6 of flashing smile! So joined another small percentage group- fun times 😬😂😭 I'll let you know how it goes tonight but never buying these again will do 2 days next time 😂

I only use the cheap OPKs, are the clearblue worth it?

@Claudiasaz ACL repair surgery! He tore his ACL in February, so should’ve had the surgery ages ago but that’s the NHS for you… just such bad timing 😔.
We will definitely need to improvise.. wish me luck 🤣🤣.

I always used to use the 4 day ones and never had days of flashing smileys either! Hopefully tomorrow you’ll get your static smiley 🤞🏼

@ThelastRolo20 I know 🤣. I’ve been so focused on ovulating, the next hurdle now is actually being able to DTD with his knee but we are going to give it a go 🤣😭

We were trying for 6 months pre miscarriage, and I only ever used the clear blue ones!
On the last cycle I tried the cheap OPK’s instead and I did conceive on that cycle.
I was using the cheap ones after my miscarriage, and just decided to buy the clear blue ones as well (expensive I know!).
I’m not much help really.
They have helped with knowing when I’m more fertile though, because I’m still testing low on the cheap ones even though I have a static smiley on my clearblue one.. I’m expecting to peak on the cheap ones later or tomorrow I would’ve thought 🤞🏼

@Holly0609 good luck 😂 I used cheap OPKs the month I conceived so just going to stick with them.

Should ovulate next Tuesday/ Wednesday (which feels an ACTUAL lifetime away) so will start testing over the weekend in case I have a funny month and ovulate early - will be furious if I miss it 😂

@ThelastRolo20 I think they are more accurate aren’t they.. but I guess the clear blue ones give you more of a window maybe?!

Isn’t it rubbish how we just wish away the time until we ovulate 😩. I hate TTC!

I had to buy another box of cheap OPK’s because I was testing like 3 times a day from CD12 - not healthy 🤣.

I think they are worth it but stick to the 2 day ones if you ask me 😂 I must be super hormonal 😂

@Holly0609 thank you! I have a very rapid peak and decline so from the weekend I'll be doing three a day - otherwise there's a genuine chance I'll miss it but will have regular sex anyway!

My only worry is not ovulating, but I can't get hung up on that. No reason why I wouldn't but it's only my second month of using OPKs so another thing to stress about 😂 the men get away so lightly! They don't have to worry about ANY of this (just dodgy knees 😂😂)

@ThelastRolo20 I never used them with my two children just went by cm. So I think as long as you're doing it regularly you'll be okay 😃

Like you I just want to make sure everything is working okay at the minute! I also am confused by the cm 😂 such fun after a MC....

@Claudiasaz that's how I judged with my first and I'm lucky I'm regular. I think it's more about the confirmation I'm ovulating than anything else. It's reassuring to see the line - trying to have a productive day at work and not wish away the next week 😁

@ThelastRolo20 Same usually..no idea what's going on now. Fun times. I'm just trying to do it regularly regardless and hope for the best 😬😂

I done an OPK this morning then totally forgot to go back in that bathroom and look at it. We DTD last night anyway but I’m only on CD9 although my cycles have been shorter since having my daughter. We picked up a puppy at the weekend so I am being kept extra busy but I prefer it that way so I don’t have to much time to think and worry.

I've done my ov test for today and have another flashing face. Why the hell did I pick these up 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 no idea when I will ovulate have all the signs physically. On a positive note looks like I won't be away for ovulation 🙌

@Vic231 I won't know for sure til he's through the front door 😂 there's too many variables for it to be definite- he could say "I'm coming home tomorrow" and then be reactivated so I will be quietly optimistic but not get my hopes up!
As it stands he thinks there's a chance of being back sometime next week 🤞🤞🤞

I keep popping on here every day hoping to see a BFP photo appear from someone! Who's closest to testing again next? I'm still waiting for AF due anytime now so I can get on to trying again soon...

@mumsince2021 - Same here - eagerly awaiting some nice news!! I need some positivity!! Still no AF for me - but my my boobs are feeling a bit painful today - especially the nipples so I'm hoping that it's imminent.

Still waiting for ovulation here! Day 16 now....

I had a static smiley yesterday morning on clear blue ovulation test… but still testing really low on my cheap easy @ home tests 😭.
Very confused what’s going on…
We DTD yesterday but my husband found it so painful because of his knee op so has said one more time only 🙈😭 so unsure whether to DTD again tonight or to wait until tomorrow to see what my cheap ones say.. I hate this 🥹

anyone else tested with both clearblue and the cheap ones?!

Nothing to report here either I’m afraid. Waiting for AF to show, have all my normal symptoms so hoping at least I’ll have a short 26 day cycle this month.

Another flashing face here what the actual hell is going on. 😂😭 Biggest regret ever buying the wrong one! The other one worked fine last couple months

just sad it was too painful for him to not want to do it another two days 🥹😭
finding it so odd that I have a static smiley but haven’t had my peak on the cheapy ones… but I’ve never done them both at the same time.
Think I’m going to just wait until tomorrow to hopefully get my peak on them and pray I haven’t missed the boat ☹️
