No wilmouse I understand your SIL thinking, when I was pg with DS it was just after my Mum died and I was desperate for a girl, (Greedy or what, I was lucky to be pg!). i sort of knew I would have a boy, and so I wanted to know as I didn't want to wish I was having a girl and then find I had a boy. In the end I didn't care but I did love knowing I had a little boy, It was our secret as we didn't tell anybody else.
MJIM sorry to hear your MS is bad. LOL just made huge mistake, thought by saying MS you meant MS and not morning sickness!!! It's just my mum's cousin has MS and I immediately think of her when I see MS. Is it much worse than last time? Some say if it is really bad then you could be carrying twins! (or at least a girl).
HC the opk's, I was told that to use them you should count back from when your period is due (shortest cycle), 14 days (ovulation) plus three or four days to pick up the LH surge they measure. So if like me you had a thirty day cycle you should start using OPK on CD 13. That way hopefully you only use one or two a month.
HM2J I had a friend who had no pg symptoms for both her pg's and she didn't find out she was pg until she was nine weeks the second time. She finally realised her af was late!!! I don't think you can use opks as pg tests, they measure different hormones.
I too am worried about my appalling spelling and grammar, feel free to correct me teachers. Actually if you teachers could help me and explain what key stages are and how the years go, I would be ecstatic beyond belief, as I am looking at schools for DS and it's a long time since I was at school and things have changed a lot. I did o levels!
Have a lovely day everyone.
