BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

Good that your temps are fairly stable! The chart looks good so hopefully you'll see a temp spike and an OPK peak at the same sort of time 🤞 are you gonna try doing your OPK at 4ish tomorrow then?

I think ovulation is brewing but possibly not happened yet, had some more EWCM today but not looooooads. Hoping to BD again tonight and tomorrow, or at least tomorrow and the day after. We shall see 😬🤞

@Hotmalibu94 the weather is definitely better but as I have hyperhydrosis (i sweat more than normal people!) in the UK is so much better but since I met my husband and he also doesn’t speak Portuguese didn’t make sense to live there. And Its hard to find jobs, never in my life I’d have dreamt of owning a house back there but here we can afford to do that.

I will see if I can do opk at 4 and see if that makes any difference but I got mental health first aid training in work tomorrow till 5pm so we’ll see if I’ll get a pee break around that time!

ooh exciting ovulation is around the corner! The TWW will be a harder wait I feel like but I can’t wait for it at the same time 😂

So apparently my eggy isn't ready to come out yet. Opk's still faint af. I have had a bucket of cm today though so it's got to be close!! My money is on tomorrow! Hoping I wake up to a nice dark line 😊 can't wait to start the tww again... not 😂

Cd13 here and normally ov around 12 so this cycle must be a bit longer. X

I want TWW to start so we can get closer to the end of the month but also its still going to be the longest two weeks ever 😂

@thejollytrolleydolly I can’t complain too much honestly since its only our second cycle but boy that last one was rough!

definitely don’t want to do the same things like obsessing about it and testing too early! 🙈

trying to take this one as a learning experience and hopefully I can keep it up.

we do have a nice group going here and a handful of people at the same times of cycle so at least no one is alone 😊

@CatiaR yeah I got a bit obsessive last month too! I think I'm going to hold off until 10dpo this month and then do a test as I've got about 30 cheapies so I can afford to use a few of them lol! Definitely going to distract myself this month. I think I was so crazy last month because it was so soon after my mc that it was all I could think about! X

@thejollytrolleydolly yeah I tested from like 7dpo last time and there wasn’t an actual chance of it when I looked afterwards but all the bfns were really depressing so I think waiting is less annoying than being disappointed so will try my best not to test until later! I do have like 20 odd cheapies around still but need to give myself a chance! 😂

Part of me can't wait for the TWW! But part of me is happy for this fun, happy time before the two weeks that feels like forever!

@thejollytrolleydolly @CatiaR our first month I tested at like 8dpo, 10dpo, 12dpo etc... Second I managed to hold out til 11dpo and then til after AF was due.
This time I plan to hold off til the Friday 25th August. AF is predicted on 23rd. Would probably wait until the Saturday if we weren't going camping that weekend for our anniversary 😂
Keeping my fingers crossed for a 1st anniversary present of dreams 🥰

@Myna13 this has been a lovely thread so far hasn't it! We definitely need to try and keep this little group together if we can, BFPs or no 💕

Morning all! Decided I would try to BD tonight and tomorrow so didn't do anything last night and luckily my temp hasn't risen so I think ovulation still hasn't happened! The EWCM hasn't kicked up a gear yet so possibly still going to ovulate Thursday as expected 🤞

No useful update from me - temps still high, still bleeding a bit 🙄and not allowed to BD until bleeding has stopped (sorry if TMI!) which is also pretty annoying now 😅😂

@Hotmalibu94 sounds like you're timing it really well. I think we've just decided to BD every alternate day this month and everyday during predicted ovulation time and hope that something will work out.

@pinkmarshmalloww I'm going to try and OPK around 2ish. How about you?

Not sure how to read my BBT charts. they're all over the place so far. this is my first month doing temps so not sure what they're meant to look like. Think I'm going to go down an Internet rabbit hole later this morning.
